The ceremony was held in Xiao Yichen's courtyard.
Red double happiness symbols are pasted on the main gate and the house door.
The atmosphere was very festive.
Tables and chairs were set up in the yard, where Aunt Liu was busy cooking in what used to be a vegetable garden.
The cooked and uncooked dishes were categorized and placed on the table and in the bowls.
Xiao Yichen's three aunts were busy following along.
Each of them is like having your heel hit the back of your head.
We heard the sound of a car and arrived.
Several young girls rushed off to see what was happening.
A military vehicle slowly pulled up at the entrance.
The car door opened, and Xiao Yichen, dressed in military uniform, got out with a smile on his face.
Walk to the other side and open the car door.
He stretched out his calloused hand into the room.
Then, a delicate, slender hand reached out from the car.
It rested in Xiao Yichen's large hand.
He slowly got out of the car.
Xiao Yichen grasped that hand.
Gently rub it twice.
Then I gripped it tightly, as if I were holding the whole world in my hands.
That silly, happy smile on his face stung Zhao Weijun's eyes!
Today, Su Ruobai is wearing a red dress.
The red is vibrant and dazzling.
It accentuated her fair skin and beautiful face.
A braid hanging askew on her shoulder adds a touch of innocence.
Xiao Yichen was once again dazzled by his wife.
Suddenly, he tightened his grip on his girl.
Su Ruobai suddenly felt a sharp pain and glanced at Xiao Yichen.
Xiao Yichen felt that there was a hint of resentment and a hint of coquettishness in that gaze.
It melted my heart.
He took his wife's hand.
He walked slowly but firmly into his home.
The young girls around them all had smiles on their faces and were watching the newlyweds with great interest.
He looked back and forth between the two men.
I always feel like there's something separating them from me.
It seems that they are the ones who are happy.
This happiness has nothing to do with those who are just watching the spectacle.
The unmarried young men nearby didn't care about any of that.
They cheered and egged them on from the sidelines.
Everyone laughed and joked as they ushered the newlyweds into the venue.
"She's here, she's here, the bride is here!"
"Come and see, everyone! Third Aunt has come in! Third Uncle has someone to take care of him now!"
Some children were even talking without restraint, eating the fruit candies that Aunt Xiao and the others had given them.
Jumping high while clapping his hands.
"The bride is so beautiful! The bride is so beautiful!"
He was slapped on the back of the head by the adult next to him.
That's your third grandmother!
The child paused for a moment, then started shouting again.
"The new Third Madam is so beautiful! The new Third Madam is so beautiful!"
Upon hearing this, the adults were tempted to take action again.
What new Third Madam? Are there still old ones?
I thought about it and decided against it.
A joyous day.
This is the newly arrived third grandmother.
You could also call her the new Third Grandma... or something like that!
...
Xiao Yichen led Su Ruobai into the courtyard.
The area to the east was originally reserved for vegetable gardens.
Xiao Yichen did not use red bricks to build the wall.
Instead, they used various stones from the mountains to roughly build a low wall about half a meter high.
I'm afraid it's not sturdy enough, so I'm wearing a thick layer of cloth.
The large stones are arranged in neat rows and columns, appearing very orderly and sturdy.
As for the vegetable garden, it has now been leveled.
Chef Aunt Liu and everyone else are busy at work.
Upon seeing the newcomers enter, some of the helpers stopped what they were doing.
Stand on tiptoe and take a good look at the newlyweds.
There's no way around it, there are just too many people.
They're all blocked.
You probably can't see it if you don't stand on tiptoe.
A hand pumped water well is located in the center of the main house and the vegetable garden, next to a large water vat and an iron bucket.
There was also a scoop in the bucket.
There are a few warehouses to the west.
One of the rooms is visible from the outside, and it's filled with firewood.
The courtyard in the middle was also paved with various stones.
It's estimated that even if it rains, it won't be muddy.
The main room has double wooden doors.
There were windows on both sides.
These windows are all divided into two parts.
The area below is sealed off.
The top part can be opened, but it can only be opened facing upwards.
We entered the main room.
The furnishings here are quite simple.
There is a small window on the north wall.
It can be opened outwards.
The window panels are also decorated with various patterns carved from wood.
A portrait of a great man hangs on the wall.
Against the north wall stood a large octagonal table. On it were a thermos, an enamel plate, and teacups.
There were two large wooden chairs with backrests on either side.
There was also a small eight-immortal table tucked under the large eight-immortal table.
Two small chairs with backrests were placed on each side against the wall.
On the east wall, a red wooden picture frame hangs diagonally.
Beneath the gleaming glass were Xiao Yichen and Su Ruo's wedding photos.
This is a specially enlarged version.
It must be about the size of two palms.
Below the picture frame were a water tank and a cupboard.
Next, we went to the single wooden door of the east room.
There was also a curtain hanging above.
The pattern is light blue bamboo.
Further south are two stoves, one large and one small.
One was used to heat the kang (a heated brick bed), and the other was used to heat the fire wall.
There's also a stove on the west side.
A little to the north is the single wooden door of the west room.
A curtain was also hung up.
A little to the north is a cabinet where you can put things.
The house was built big.
With so many things, it doesn't feel cramped at all.
After Xiao Yichen and Su Ruobai entered the room.
