Chapter 426 Tianyu Crisis

On the third night after the All Races Conference ended, Chen Feng stood alone on the Broken Sky Cliff in the northern part of the Human Race Great Realm.

The night wind howled, ruffling his robes. Looking north from here, one could vaguely see the reconnaissance barrier hovering over the Eagle-people territory—a giant net woven from silver light, which would trigger an alarm for any unauthorized intruder.

"Yunyi..." Chen Feng murmured the name, the aloof face of the Silverwing Princess appearing before his eyes. Three days ago, after learning of her imprisonment, he outwardly remained inactive, but secretly he had already made preparations for her rescue.

"Have you made up your mind?" Di Fengtian's voice came from behind.

Chen Feng didn't turn around, but simply nodded slightly: "She saved me twice."

"I knew I couldn't dissuade you." Di Feng sighed and handed over a jade slip. "This is a detailed defense map of the Eagle Clan's territory, including the locations of three secret dungeons."

Chen Feng turned around in surprise: "Master..."

"Don't look at me like that." Di Feng waved his hand. "It's normal for humans to have informants within the Eagle Clan. Remember, you only have twelve hours. When the time is up, you must evacuate regardless of success or failure."

"That's enough." Chen Feng put away the jade slip, and the chaotic vortex within his body accelerated its rotation, adjusting his state to its peak.

Di Feng then took out a drab gray cloak: "An invisibility cloak, capable of evading most detection spells. However, it will still be detected by 'Heavenly Eye' level probes."

Chen Feng donned the cloak, and his aura instantly became blurred. He did a final check of his belongings—several bottles of healing pills, a stack of teleportation talismans, and several special array plates he had crafted in the secret realm.

"Beware of Jin Lie," Di Feng said solemnly. "According to intelligence, he secretly went to the Eagle People's territory yesterday."

A cold glint flashed in Chen Feng's eyes: "There's definitely something fishy going on."

Without another word, Chen Feng leaped off the cliff. Just before hitting the ground, he activated his Cloud Leap Technique, his body floating lightly northward like a feather.

......

Crossing the border went surprisingly smoothly. Although the Eagle Clan's reconnaissance barrier was tight, it seemed to be less sensitive to the chaotic energy. Chen Feng concealed his chaotic golden body to the extreme, silently infiltrating the enemy territory like a drop of water merging into the ocean.

Following the instructions on the jade slip, he first ruled out two nearby dungeons—those held ordinary prisoners. The real serious offenders would be imprisoned in the secret prison beneath the Eagle Clan's sacred mountain, "Tianyu Peak."

Tianyu Peak soars into the clouds, its summit perpetually shrouded in a silver whirlwind—a protective array left by the eagle clan's ancestor. Even with Chen Feng's current strength, forcing his way through would be certain death.

"We'll have to outsmart them." Chen Feng observed from behind a rock. The foot of the mountain was heavily guarded, with a squad of Silverwing Guards patrolling every half hour. To make matters worse, there were two stone statues at the entrance, seemingly inanimate objects, but actually the carriers of the "Sky Eye" detector.

After a moment of contemplation, Chen Feng had an idea. He took out an array plate and buried it in the ground, then used the Thousand Faces Technique to transform himself into the appearance of an ordinary Eagle Clan warrior.

As the next squad of guards passed by, Chen Feng quietly followed at the back. Just as they were about to pass through the stone statue inspection, he secretly activated the array plate.

"Buzz—"

A slight spatial fluctuation emanated from afar, causing both stone statues to simultaneously turn in that direction. The guard captain immediately became alert: "Third squad, investigate!"

Taking advantage of the brief commotion, Chen Feng slipped into the mountain passage. The passage wound downwards, its walls inlaid with luminous crystals that provided dim lighting. The deeper he went, the stronger the sense of oppression in the air became, as if countless eyes were watching from the shadows.

Suddenly, Chen Feng stopped. Footsteps came from around the corner ahead, and he immediately hid against the wall. Two silver-armored guards escorted an old man in black robes towards them. The old man's hands and feet were shackled with special shackles, and although he was weak, he still gave off a dangerous feeling.

"Get out of here, you old fool!" a guard shoved the old man. "The Grand Elder is waiting to interrogate you."

The old man sneered, "That brat Jin Lie thinks he can control the Chaos Sea by colluding with the Eagle Clan rebels? Wishful thinking!"

The Chaotic Sea? Chen Feng's heart skipped a beat. After the three had gone some distance, he immediately followed them, his intuition telling him that the old man knew something.

At the end of the passage was a spacious interrogation room. Chen Feng hid outside the door and peeked through the crack to see several people standing inside. Besides the two guards from before, there was an elderly eagle-clan member with six wings on his back, and... Jin Lie, the Great Elder of the Lion-man Clan!

"Elder Cangyu, have you found out their whereabouts?" Jin Lie's voice was hoarse and grating.

The six-winged eagle shook its head: "This old stubborn man absolutely refuses to talk."

"Then continue the torture!" Jin Lie roared. "Without the 'key,' how can we open the seal on the Chaos Sea?"

A seal? A key? Chen Feng grew increasingly alarmed as he listened. Suddenly, the old man in black robes looked up, his gaze piercing through the crack in the door and meeting Chen Feng's eyes directly!

"Little mouse outside, you've been listening for so long, won't you come in and sit down?"

Chen Feng was shocked. This old man could actually see through his concealment! Before he could react, an invisible force shattered the stone door, exposing him to everyone.

"Humans?!" Elder Cangyu's pupils constricted sharply. "Guards!"

Jin Lie grinned maliciously: "Chen Feng! I was just looking for you, and you've delivered yourself right to my doorstep!"

Chen Feng simply dropped his disguise and activated his Chaos Golden Body: "Looks like I've arrived just in time."

"Kill him!" Jin Lie ordered. Two guards rushed forward, but Chen Feng pierced their throats with two Lingxi Finger strikes.

Elder Cangyu spread his six wings, and countless silver feathers shot out like sharp arrows. Chen Feng drew circles with both hands, and the chaotic energy formed a vortex, shattering all the silver feathers.

"Old man, it's your turn!" With a wave of the Golden Crack Scepter, a blood-red light devoured Chen Feng like a venomous snake.
