Chapter 2207 Ending - Afterword

After finishing the last chapter, my heart beat faster and I couldn't calm down for a long time. I was actually not used to it.

When I first wrote this book, I actually didn't have any plans. I just didn't know what to write, so I just wrote it as a practice.

I thought I would end the book after more than 100,000 words, but I didn't expect the data to be so good after the debut, so I kept writing.

Because of insufficient planning, the early plot design appeared weak, and many things that should have been common sense were haphazardly written into bugs by me.

I made some revisions later, but some content could not be changed, so I had to leave it as it was.

After 500,000 words, I wanted to finish it because the story had been so chaotic during this period that I couldn't keep calm anymore.

But considering there would be a test after a million words, I persisted.

The test results were not ideal and I wanted to end it, but many readers encouraged me to continue writing, so I decided to write to 1.5 million words.

Unfortunately, I have always been a soft-hearted person. Seeing that there are still many readers who are following my lead, I actually continued to write towards the two million words mark.

Later, things gradually stabilized and I decided to finish writing it.

In the blink of an eye, several years passed and I had written 4.5 million words.

Except for the force majeure of my mother's death, I have never stopped updating and insist on updating at least two chapters every day.

Admittedly, I know that this book has many logical flaws, some of which are so big that I cannot solve them, which is one of the reasons why I have not made any progress for a long time.

But no matter what, for the sake of my readers who have been following me, I have extended the update schedule again and again, and finally wrote it to now.

Overall, although I am not satisfied with this book, it is still satisfactory. After all, it is the longest novel I have ever written, and I never gave up because of the performance.

I actually have many complex and grand designs for the ending of this book.

After all, I have been writing for several years, and now it has 4.5 million words. I hope it can have the best ending.

But unfortunately, I have been in a very bad state in the past two months. My thoughts are often confused and I have a nervous breakdown, so I can only delete those bloated contents and end it in the most concise way.

I feel very sorry and blame myself. I just hope that after I have adjusted my mental state, I can write a better book.

Over the years, I have always had many readers and friends supporting me, and I am very grateful.

Thank you for your reading, your gifts, and your guidance.

Regarding the new book, I don’t have any good plans for the time being.

In a plan a long time ago, I was going to make Li Chunfeng the protagonist of my next book, but eventually gave up for various reasons and wrote his story as part of this book.

Later I planned to write Dark Cage, with Li Guan as the protagonist, to write an epic of civilization in which countless lives survive, struggle, and rise in disasters.

But this thing is obviously unreliable and does not conform to the mainstream of today's online literature, so after trying many times, I dare not write it anymore because the sunk cost is too high.

On the other hand, science fiction is an unpopular subject, and interstellar is the unpopularest of the unpopular. Even if I write it in a fantastic way, the upper limit is there, and there are only a handful of readers willing to read it.

So my new book will probably not be about something similar, but will instead be more focused on the hot genres (fantasy, urban). In those genres, even if I write with my eyes closed, I'll still get better results than science fiction or space fiction. (This is also the core reason why such books are so rare.)

All in all, I will continue to write. If you have any topics or content you want to see, you can also tell me. It has not been confirmed yet, and I will probably start writing next month.

Finally, I would like to thank all the readers who have followed me all the way. It is you who gave me the motivation to persevere and the courage to face any dismal results.

The new book will definitely not satisfy everyone's taste, but I will try my best to write it well.

Thank you everyone!
