Chapter 999 Void Zerg?

[The Star Domain Network has been deployed and detailed information is being obtained]

The screen keeps sliding, and densely packed pictures and information show a common gray background.

Overall, this is not a good place.

Before Fuyao could give out the star map, Violet contacted Chen An.

"This is the fantasy world."

Chen An was surprised: "What do you mean?"

Violet said anxiously, "This is the world where the Illusion Clan once lived. There are powerful Void Zerg here. We must be extremely careful."

Hearing about the Zerg, Chen An immediately became alert.

"The train is temporarily suspended until the star map is available."

After waiting for several minutes, Fuyao drew a star map with a radius of 500 billion kilometers.

The content is not perfect, but becomes clearer the closer you get.

After studying it for a while, Chen An found nothing unusual, not even a few planets.

[No Zerg found]

"Then let's go to the nearest planet."

The train started the warp engine and arrived at its destination shortly afterwards.

Chen An did not send out a reconnaissance fleet, but instead asked Fuyao to scan the world.

[There are traces of biological activity on this planet, and all resources have been depleted]

In other words, this is a pure dead star, with only an empty shell left.

Violet exclaimed, "Indeed, this is the habit of the Void Zerg. Wherever they pass, they drain the energy. My Lord, for safety's sake, we should try to avoid them."

"Do you know the way?"

Violet nodded. "I was able to escape from here because I knew a remote star road. This road is short on energy, and the Zerg don't like it."

"Okay, you find the Star Road and we'll go there. Fuyao, search for other trains as much as possible and tell them the situation."

For the next four or five days, the eight trains traveled along the star path Violet had given them without incident.

Violet was surprised.

"That doesn't make sense. The Zerg chased us back then, so they should have wiped out everything here."

Resources on the Star Road are indeed scarce, but there is no sign of large-scale consumption by the Zerg.

But the Zerg did exist, and there are rotting remains of Zerg corpses on some planets.

These corpses were collected by train and sent to the Biological Research Institute for rapid research. Chen An thus obtained some information about the Zerg.

More information from Violet.

Overall, this is a strange-looking, highly social carbon-based creature that looks like an enlarged version of an ant.

“As void creatures, they are elusive and possess the basic ability to travel through the void. We must be extremely careful,” Violet repeatedly reminded.

Chen An's nerves were tense, fearing that something unexpected would happen.

But the problem is that there were still no accidents during the next two or three months of sailing.

So Chen An gradually relaxed his vigilance and collected resources when necessary. He couldn't always be so cautious.

On February 11, 414 of the Recovery Calendar, they finally encountered the first planet with life.

Fuyao obtained a scan of the planet and could clearly see the densely packed Zerg creatures on it.

"Is it very strong?"

[The strongest estimate is the fifth level of Star Stepping, and they haven't found us yet]

"That's it? That's all the Zerg are?"

Chen An called Violet over and expressed his doubts.

Violet said helplessly, “It’s been so long, I don’t know what they’ve become. Those are indeed Void Zerg, but their strength is far inferior to what we encountered. And they look stupid, not real Zerg.”

No matter whether it is legitimate or not, just kill it first.

Chen An sent out several fleets, which easily flattened the planet and harvested a large number of Zerg corpses.

Half a day later, the research results came out.

It turns out that these Zerg are all genetically modified creatures, equivalent to defective Zerg products.

The Huan Clan is most familiar with this kind of defective product, as they used to produce it frequently.

Violet said, “The Zerg have integrated the technology of the Phantom Tribe. I wonder how powerful they are now.”

Shadows are always overhead, and they can emerge from the void at any time.

In the subsequent voyages, such planets appeared frequently and the train reaped great rewards.

Half a year later, Chen An encountered another train.

After exchanging information with the train conductor, I learned that other trains were taking the main road and had already found a way to leave this starry sky.

However, the channel cannot be opened at the moment, so we can only wander around looking for resources.

Fortunately, the starry sky is vast and the resources are countless, so there is no need for trains to compete with each other.

Chen An was surprised: "You didn't encounter the Zerg?"

"Those creatures that look like Zerg and are as weak as bugs? There are plenty of them, we can just eliminate them along the way."

Chen An therefore understood one thing: the fantasy world was not dangerous, and the main force of the Void Zerg had already left.

But the problem is that the resources here have not been exhausted, so they have no reason to leave.

“Violet, do you have any comment?”

She shook her head. "I can't give you any explanation. If we can find traces left by the Zerg, we might be able to get more information."

On September 27, 414 of the Recovery Calendar, the train discovered Zerg ruins when it checked into a vast galaxy.

It was a huge starry sky fortress, shaped like an ant nest, with dense passages on its surface.

The ant nest is constructed of ore, with countless warship-like remnants floating around it.

Chen An sent people in to conduct a detailed investigation, which took a month.

The final conclusion was that the Zerg left in a short period of time, and did not even have time to take many larvae with them, which became specimens in the nest.

"Could it be that they encountered a threat and had to leave? What could threaten the Zerg?"

[There is no relevant information at present, we don’t know what the Zerg experienced]
