Chapter 41: Aunt Rong and Shaoyao leave the house

"Haha..." Su Wanyan was lifted up into the air by Xiao Wu's slender waist, laughing so hard that she fell backwards. "This is so exciting!"

Xiao Wu's heart was pounding, and he tightened his grip around the little princess, fearing she would fall. "Princess, you've been gone for so long, what have you been doing?"

Please forgive her curiosity. In order to let the little princess have fun tonight, the master sent out several secret agents from the Dark Guard Camp one after another. He originally thought that the little princess went to the palace to steal... bah, take something. But when the little princess came out, she didn't have anything in her hands. So what did the little princess do when she sneaked into the palace?

Su Wanyan smiled at Xiaowu, "You'll know tomorrow. Maybe the dog emperor will ask for leave from the morning court tomorrow!"

Xiao Wu nodded, not quite understanding, "Oh~"

The two returned safely to the palace. Everyone in the palace knew about her nighttime visit. When they saw her being carried by Xiao Wu and flying through the back door, the guards standing there didn't even bat an eyelid. After Su Wanyan found her feet, they all bowed and saluted, "Greetings, Princess!"

Su Wanyan didn't know if it was her imagination, but she felt that the guards were being more respectful to her. She didn't take this strange feeling to heart and said, "Get up. Go on with your business and don't worry about us."

"Yes!" The guards turned around and left obediently.

Xiao Wu supported Su Wanyan as they walked towards the master bedroom. As they passed by the small garden, He Bo and his men were already waiting there, carrying lanterns. Seeing her approach, he smiled and said, "The princess is back. This old servant has prepared some warming soup. Please drink it before you rest."

"Okay, Hebo, thank you for your hard work." Su Wanyan saw two little maids holding two food boxes, nodded, and thanked Hebo.

Leading people all the way back to the master bedroom, Su Wanyan walked over to check on Ji Xiaohan first. Ji Xiaohan had already been helped to change into pajamas and was lying on the inside of the bed.

Xiao Wu helped Su Wanyan wash her hands and sat down. "Princess, please have a drink to calm down."

The temperature was low at night, and they went out without even wearing a cloak for convenience. Although she tried her best to force the wind to fly, the little princess's body was still weak and her hands were already cold.

Su Wanyan didn't hesitate and started drinking. In order not to expose herself too much, Su Wanyan didn't take out warm clothes from the space no matter how cold it was on the way. Now she returned to the room, where there was a small heater on. The alternation between cold and hot made her body feel even colder.

After drinking two large bowls of soup in one breath, Su Wanyan finally felt better. Wiping her mouth, she looked at Uncle He, who had been waiting beside her with a bow, and asked, "Uncle He, have Aunt Rong and Shaoyao left the house?"

He Bo hurried forward and replied, "Princess, Rong Mama and Shaoyao have already left. In addition to the silver you gave them, I also took the initiative to buy them some more. I believe they will not suffer any hardship after leaving. Fearing that they might be followed by ulterior motives, I secretly sent someone to follow them for a while. Now, they have safely arrived at the place you designated."

Su Wanyan was quite confident in He Bo's ability to get things done. She nodded, indicating that she understood. "It's getting late. You should go down and rest. Xiao Wu will be the only one left here."

He Bo then had his people pack up and leave.
