Chapter 15 What a great Su Qianchi!

"You're talking nonsense, I didn't disobey the emperor!" Su Wanrou blushed, fearing that she would be accused of disobeying the emperor.

"Hehe, everyone watched you order the servants to assassinate my mother. If this isn't disobeying the emperor, what is it?"

"I, I, I wanted to give your mother a big gift, but I didn't expect that dog slave to misinterpret my meaning."

"Oh? What's the gift?" Feng Jiuyan wanted to see what valuable things Su Wanrou had!

Su Wanrou bit her lip, lifted her sleeves, revealing the crystal clear jade bracelet on her wrist.

Feng Jiuyan stared at the fine jade bracelet on Su Wanrou's wrist, thinking to herself: What a mistake, what a mistake. She didn't even find such a good bracelet.

But it didn't matter. It would soon become hers.

Seeing this, the maid beside her exclaimed, "Miss, you must not do this. This is your only ..."

"Shut up!" Su Wanrou scolded the maid, her eyes red as she reluctantly pulled the jade bracelet off her wrist.

How could she be willing to give this jade bracelet to that bitch? It was the only jewelry she had now.

No, to be exact, this is the only piece of jewelry she has.

Overnight, her boudoir was robbed and all valuables disappeared. Even her bed, which was worth several thousand taels, was stolen.

The next morning, she was woken up by the rain. When she opened her eyes, she saw that the roof was empty without a single tile. And her cheek was swollen like a pig's head, and she was lying on the ground.

Su Wanrou was angry and anxious, and hurried to Prime Minister Su's yard, wanting Prime Minister Su to send someone to help her investigate the thief, and also ask her mother to give her some silver to buy furniture and jewelry.

However, I didn't expect that as soon as I entered the main courtyard where my parents lived, I heard their loud crying.

She was told by her parents that the Prime Minister's Mansion had been robbed.

Everything that could be moved and pried open was stolen.

Just when they thought things had gotten to the worst, they didn't expect that the managers of the shops and farms came to the Prime Minister's Mansion one after another to report that the shops and farms had been robbed.

Upon hearing this tragic news, the whole family rolled their eyes and fainted on the ground in front of their servants.

Nowadays, the Prime Minister's Mansion may not even be able to raise two taels of silver, and is left with only an empty shell.

I'm afraid even the beggars in the imperial city can't compare to him.

Thinking of this, Su Wanrou almost cried.

She stroked the jade bracelet on her hand and almost died of heartache.

The bracelet on her hand escaped disaster because it accidentally fell into the toilet bowl while she was using it.

I was so disgusted with it at the time that I didn't tell the maid to take it out.

When her parents informed her of the tragic situation in the Prime Minister's Mansion, she suddenly remembered the jade bracelet that had fallen into the toilet.

So she hurried back to the backyard and tried to get the jade bracelet out of the toilet, but she was told that the night fragrance in the toilet had been poured into the mansion's dung cart and was about to be taken out of the city.

She faced everyone's surprised gazes and ordered her servants to pull the manure cart back to her yard.

There were four large dung buckets on the dung cart, each three feet high, and all filled to the brim.

She didn't know which bucket the night fragrance in Su Wanrou's room had been poured into. She could only order the servants to salvage them one by one.

She stood in the room, anxiously looking out at the servants salvaging, and yelled, "Useless! You can't even fish up anything. What's the use of you!"

The servants braved the stench and fished the feces out of the bucket with their bare hands. They were already full of complaints, and now Su Wanrou was cursing them, so they didn't work as hard as they should.

Anyway, the Prime Minister's Mansion was robbed, so even if they fished out the bracelet, they probably wouldn't get any reward.

What's more, there is no money in the mansion, and they might be sold out soon.

Su Wanrou paced back and forth in the room. She couldn't stand it any longer and ran out of the room, "Get out, get out!"

The servants fled from Su Wanrou's yard as if they had been pardoned.

Su Wanrou's face turned pale, she bit her lip, and reached into her bosom, intending to take out a handkerchief to tie her nose, but her hand was empty.

The reason was simple: all the handkerchiefs were stolen by the thieves.

Tucking up her skirt and rolling up her sleeves, Su Wanrou closed her eyes, gritted her teeth, and climbed onto the dung cart as if she had made a huge decision. She lay on the dung bucket and fished the bracelet out of the bucket with her bare hands.

Being smelly is not scary, losing face is scary.

She has to attend a banquet in a few days, and she can't be outdone by other ladies!

It took Su Wanrou a full quarter of an hour to finally fish the bracelet out of the dung bucket.

Out of sheer joy came sorrow; she slipped and fell into the dung bucket.

Thinking of this, she regretted it so much that she should not have worn the bracelet when she went out.

She hated it so much that she wanted to peel off Feng Jiuyan's skin, pull out her tendons, chop her flesh into pieces and feed it to the dogs.

But if I don’t give it to that bitch Feng Jiuyan today, this matter will probably not end well.

If the Prime Minister's Mansion were to be suspected by the Emperor, they would be in big trouble.

She put her hand on her head and wanted to cry even more.

Su Wanrou closed her eyes, her back teeth almost broken, and reluctantly put the bracelet into the maid's hand, "Hurry and send the bracelet to Miss Feng."

"Yes, ma'am."

The maid took the jade bracelet and went downstairs.

"Miss Feng, this is a big gift from my young lady to you. The mountains are high and the road is long, please take care on your journey." The maid smiled fakely.

Feng Jiuyan took the jade bracelet and said loudly, "So it was a misunderstanding. In that case, thank you, Miss Su." She stuffed the bracelet into her waist, but actually put it into the space.

Su Wanrou stared at Feng Jiuyan's waist with burning eyes, wishing she could burn a hole through it so that her jade bracelet would fall off.

Gritting his teeth, he squeezed out a few words, "You're welcome. Hehe——"
