Then, the two began preparing lunch.
It was noon soon, and a table was set up in the yard with the prepared dishes on it.
Big Plate Chicken, Twice-Cooked Pork, and Braised Crucian Carp are the main dishes, while the rest are side dishes such as Hot and Sour Shredded Potatoes and Eggs with Chives, filling the whole table with eight dishes in total.
"Oh dear, why are you making so much? There are only a few people in our family, can we finish it all?" Lin's mother said.
"It's okay, we can eat it tonight if we can't finish it. By the way, Ya Rou should be back at noon, right?" Lin Shuyue asked curiously.

"Why aren't you eating? Hurry up and eat!" Ye Yun came out carrying two bottles of drinks, sat down next to Lin Shuyue, and poured drinks for the three of them.
"Wait a minute, her brother will be here soon," Lin's mother said.
"Okay then." Ye Yun nodded, picked up his drink and took a sip, then noticed Lin Shuyue's slightly furrowed brows.
"What's wrong? Is something on your mind?"
"Hmph!" Lin Shuyue snorted and said nothing.
Not long after, the stairwell door was pushed open, and a man and a woman walked in.
The man had a roguish air about him, with a cigarette dangling from his lips. The woman was heavily made up and wore a gold necklace, though it was hard to tell if it was real or not. In any case, their expressions were just off-putting.
"Wow, you're eating so well today!" Lin Jiang rubbed his hands together and sat down, drooling as he looked at the feast on the table.
"Hmph, this is because my daughter is back, that's why I made so much delicious food!" the woman snorted.
Lin's mother introduced Ye Yun: "Xiao Yun, this is Shu Yue's younger brother, Lin Jiang, and this is his wife, Wang Jia."
"Jiangzi, don't look at the food, let me introduce you. This is Ye Yun, your brother-in-law's younger brother." Lin's mother patted Lin Jiang's head and introduced him.
"Ye Yun?" Lin Jiang suddenly raised his head and stared at Ye Yun in surprise.
"Hello, Lin Jiang." Ye Yun extended his hand to him.
Lin Jiang hesitated for a moment, then grasped his hand, and after letting go, asked curiously, "Did you study at Lan Ye High School before?"
"Yes, you studied it too?" Ye Yun asked.

Lin Jiang didn't care about this. He just swallowed and said to Ye Yun, "Five years ago, I was hanging out with a gang leader. Just then, the front door was pushed open, and a beautiful woman with dyed blonde hair walked in. She was stunned when she saw the crowd gathered around the table.

"Little girl, I'm back!" Lin Shuyue stood up and opened her arms.
Lin Yarou came up and hugged Lin Shuyue, "You haven't been back for so long, I missed you so much."

"Alright, sit down quickly, we've been waiting for you," Lin's father urged.
The two separated. Lin Yarou looked at the seats and hesitated about which side to sit on when Lin's mother took out a stool and handed it to Lin's father, giving him a wink.
Lin's father tacitly shifted his position, making room between himself and Ye Yun, and placed the stool there, saying, "This will do!"
"Oh." Lin Yarou didn't think much of it, walked over and sat down. She turned her head to look at Lin Shuyue, but then she noticed Ye Yun's handsome face.
For a moment, Lin Yarou was stunned, staring blankly at Ye Yun's profile.
"What are you staring at me for? What are you spacing out for?" Lin Shuyue teased, thinking the gaze was directed at her.
"Ah, no...it's nothing." Lin Yarou hurriedly turned around, picked up her chopsticks, and lowered her head to eat.
"Ya Rou, this is Ye Yun next to you, your brother-in-law's younger brother," Lin's mother introduced.
