Chapter 111 Starlight Never Fails Those Who Travel the Journey

There was an undercurrent of tension within the Tianxia Society, but on the surface, everything remained harmonious, with everyone waiting for a trigger.

But this has nothing to do with Liu Nian; he is currently surrounded by the Night Demons.

With only a sliver of health left, he was now as fragile as paper; he had truly been drained of his life force.

With a beautiful cross slash, Xiao Shuai cleaved the Night Demon in mid-air in two, blood splattering onto his armor in a violent yet aesthetically pleasing way.

Stepping over the corpses of the Night Demons, he swung his greatsword in a wide arc and delivered a magnificent sweeping motion. Black light surged from the blood-red greatsword, and the Night Demons in front of him were all wounded by the sword light and cleaved to the ground. The air force units that landed could only await death.

Meanwhile, the vampire on the other side was not to be outdone. She floated in mid-air, her bare hands with red nail polish tearing at the Night Demon. Facing the Night Demon's counterattack, she was so agile that the Night Demon didn't even touch her sleeve.

Perhaps tired of her prey, she made a grasping motion towards the Night Demon. The Night Demon seemed to be bound by an unknown force and unable to break free. Then, its blood was continuously drawn out of its body and gathered in the vampire's hand.

Blood condensed into a blood ball on her hand. She smelled the blood ball on her hand, then disgustedly threw it towards Liu Nian.

The blood sphere traveled very fast and hit Liu Nian in the blink of an eye. Strangely, he was not injured at all. Instead, he felt a warm current coursing through his body.

But he has no time to experience these things now; he can only rely on his bone armor to defend against the Night Demon's attacks.

Unbeknownst to him, his health was rapidly recovering on the control panel.

The Night Demon seemed to have been dried up overnight, leaving only a skin attached to the skeleton, which was then casually discarded by the vampire.

The other summoned creatures formed a neat square around Liu Nian, looking just like a squad of undead fungi.

Then, as Xiao Shuai swung his greatsword down, the last Night Demon's head flew into the air, and the battle ended in a complete defeat for the Night Demons.

Liu Nian noticed that the greatsword in Xiao Shuai's hand was completely unstained by blood, and couldn't help but exclaim, "What a fine sword, what a fine sword!"

Upon noticing the vampire looking at him with a half-smile, and recalling the horrific state of the Night Demon just now, Liu Nian instantly broke out in a cold sweat.

Just as Liu Nian was racking his brains for words of praise, he realized that he really didn't have any words to say to the other person, and blurted out, "You look so beautiful tonight!"

Can she understand Tianlong script?

"Thanks."

Compared to the taciturn Yin Hun and Xiao Shuai, Liu Nian was quite surprised that the vampire could actually speak.

In most games, vampires are humanoid creatures, so Liu Nian didn't delve into it further.

Who knows what kind of settings he used!

After looting the Night Demons' spoils, Liu Nian headed towards the World Society.

No more foolish Night Demons appeared along the way, and he returned to the World Society smoothly.

The guards were still the same as before, and without much delay, Liu Nian headed straight for the Rose Hotel.

He changed back into his cloak halfway through the journey, as the wolfskin cloak was too warm and made him feel too hot.

After returning, he met the alchemist Sun Buhuan in a familiar place in the market area.

Looking at the large crowd surrounding him, Liu Nian estimated that he would have to wait a while before it was his turn.

Actually, he was overthinking it. The moment Sun Buhuan took the medicine out of his backpack, it was all sold out.

Soon, the potions stopped selling, and they could only stay there hoping someone would sell the raw materials.

Upon seeing this, Liu Nian stepped forward, and Sun Buhuan recognized him at a glance.

He took two bottles of medicine out of his pocket and handed them to him.

Liu Nian asked, "Would you accept a werewolf's heart as material?"

Sun Buhuan replied without looking up, "I accept any materials."

What else is there to ask? Liu Nian simply pulled out a bunch of material cards from his saddlebag.

After keeping a few werewolf hearts, he sold the rest to Sun Buhuan.

While Sun Buhuan was exchanging crowns, Liu Nian asked curiously, "Why doesn't he find a powerful force to rely on? Isn't that more comfortable than setting up a stall?"

Sun Buhuan snorted coldly: "I'm happy to!"

Alright, a Dou Zong level expert, that's terrifying!

However, Liu Nian admired his personality, which was so carefree.

Perhaps admiring Liu Nian, or perhaps thinking he was a big customer, Sun Buhuan took out a bottle of intermediate-level life potion from his backpack and handed it to Liu Nian.

Liu Nian could not possibly accept such a valuable item. After some initial refusal, he finally accepted it.

He said, "What I give away, I never take back. Do you want it?"

Sun Buhuan held the medicine bottle in his hand, making a move as if to smash it on the ground.

How can such a wasteful act be tolerated?

Liu Nian thanked him and accepted the gift.

"A man who's so fussy."

Well, isn't this a case of not accepting a reward without merit?

He was obliged to help others, and though his words were harsh, what he gave was genuine.

A capable person might occasionally act arrogantly, which is called individuality; an incompetent person, on the other hand, is simply ignorant.

Of course, don't follow Mi Heng's example!

"Thank you," Liu Nian said sincerely.

Sun Buhuan didn't say anything, turned around and went back to his stall to sit down, waving his hand dismissively at Liu Nian.

Okay, I admit I was being reckless.

Liu Nian shrugged and pushed his motorcycle away from the market.

I was originally planning to blow up the vitality potion, but when I opened the panel, I was surprised to find that my health had actually recovered to above the warning level.

"It seems that blood orb was behind this?" Liu Nian thought, looking at the panel.

Having saved a blood vial, Liu Nian happily headed to the hotel.

Chen Ling, whom I hadn't seen in a long time, was chatting with Ruan Xin at the hotel.

An inconspicuous person walked into the room, whispered a few words in Chen Ling's ear, and then turned and left.

"Liu Nian has entered the city, and it looks like she's heading this way." She said casually, looking at Ruan Xin beside her.

"Have you figured out how to bring it up?" Seeing that Ruan Xin still didn't understand, she asked again.

"Why not just say it directly? Why go through all that trouble?" Ruan Xin was puzzled; why did everyone like to play mysterious?

"What if he refuses?"

"Then forget it."

“But if we want to do this well, we need him, right?” Chen Ling asked again.

"Troublesome, I don't know. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it," Ruan Xin said, exasperated.

“Let’s go, come with me to talk to him.” Chen Ling got up from her chair.

Liu Nian was at the front desk booking a room when a voice came from above.

"Long time no see, you've become much more capable!"

Looking up, I saw Chen Ling and Ruan Xin coming downstairs.

We weren't very familiar with each other; we just nodded politely.

Liu Nian planned to go upstairs after they came downstairs.

"So indifferent?" Chen Ling stood on the first step, seemingly not planning to come down.

"What's wrong?" Liu Nian didn't think he had any deep feelings for her.

"I need your help with something. Just name your price, and I won't back down." Chen Ling felt she had made a offer that no one could refuse.
