Martin rushed out of the secret room and saw Eric riding a dragon and joining the battle, engaging the enemy fiercely. With Eric's strong intervention, the originally stalemate situation was reversed in an instant.
Eric cooperated with Frost Ning, Hefna and Betan in perfect harmony. After a few fierce attacks, the three Sky Knights died on the spot.
Afterwards, they began to clean up the people in the underground world, and according to Martin's instructions, put the bodies into the space ring. There were actually a few people pretending to be dead, and Eric and others killed them one after another.
When the smoke cleared, Martin quickly stepped forward and asked Eric if he had found anything new. Eric said solemnly, "It's full of fossilized eggs. As far as I can see, there's nothing but desert, no sign of life."
Martin was very disappointed when he heard this, and immediately led everyone back to the previous laboratory, intending to take the old and young couple away from there.
The red lights in the corridor kept flashing, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense. Martin pushed open the door of the laboratory and was shocked by the scene before him - the old man and the young boy had been killed.
At this moment, a sound of breaking air suddenly sounded from Martin's side. In the critical moment, Eric was quick-witted and swift-handed, instantly striking the attacker dead on the spot.
Martin looked closely and saw that it was the guard who had been guarding the door earlier. He lit the magic lamp and carefully examined the surrounding traces. He initially deduced the events: after the important information was deleted, three guards attempted to kill an old man and a young boy and escaped in the chaos. However, due to disagreements, they started a fight among themselves. After the fight, only the guard in front of him was left.
Everyone searched carefully in the laboratory. Although they did not find the dragon cubs, they found twelve dragon eggs in each of the other two incubation rooms. Martin packed them all up and took them away without hesitation.
At the same time, there was chaos in the Count of Feiling's Castle. The huge noise coming from underground frightened the civilians and knights, who fled in panic.
When Earl Feiling heard about the unusual movement underground, his face changed suddenly and he knew that something was wrong.
Countess Feiling's face turned pale, her knuckles turning blue as she clutched the communication crystal. She immediately rushed to the underground entrance. When she arrived, panting, there was a loud explosion underground, a deafening roar tearing through the air.
The Earl's Castle slowly sank like a sleeping giant, and the entire city began to tilt. The sound of cracking bricks and stones and the screams of the people intertwined into a doomsday-like melody.
A few minutes ago, Martin knew they couldn't stay here for long. He turned to Frost and Hefna and said, "Destroy the magic circle nodes immediately! This organization is too deep, and we must completely destroy the evidence."
Frost condensed into ice crystals on her fingertips, and Hefna also condensed magical water elements and attacked the nodes of the magic circle. The core of the magic circle burst out with a dazzling purple light, and the magic power supporting the ground instantly collapsed.
Without the magical support, the ground could no longer bear the weight, and the speed of collapse suddenly accelerated. Martin asked Hefner to take him away quickly, followed by Eric and others.
Earl Filling sat slumped on the edge of the ruins, looking at the sinking castle, as if he saw his own future and life falling into the abyss.
She trembled as she activated the communication crystal. When the call was connected, she spoke in a voice almost tearful: "Sir, something has happened! The secret underground realm... has been destroyed!"
A suppressed roar came from the other end of the crystal: "What's going on? Where are those two researchers?" "I'm afraid... they are in great danger."
Fei Ling swallowed her saliva and said, "Now the entire Earl's Castle is collapsing. I am organizing manpower..."
“Who did it?!”
"I'm sorry, sir. The battle was over when I arrived..." Before he could finish his words, the communication stopped abruptly, leaving only a harsh busy tone echoing over the ruins.
Taking advantage of the night, Martin and his group rushed north.
An hour later, he asked Hefna to stop. Five magic props engraved with runes flew out from the space ring. Corresponding to the number of people, they turned into blurry figures the moment they landed and continued to run wildly towards the north.
"Turn southwest!"
Martin shouted in a deep voice, and everyone turned in a new direction like an arrow shot from a bow, without letting the two dragons change their dragon forms.
Another two hours passed, and the same scene was repeated. Five shadows flew towards the northwest. After changing direction several times, Martin felt that they had completely disrupted the pursuer's judgment.
When the first rays of morning light pierced through the clouds, the tired team finally stopped in a hidden valley.
Hefna simply activated her magic, and vines and rocks automatically formed a simple camp. Martin sat cross-legged on the ground, his fingertips brushing over the mountain of spoils—thirty-six shimmering dragon eggs trembling slightly in their magic bags, three sets of S-rank knight armor gleaming with a cold metallic sheen, not to mention the gold coins, potions, and magic items scattered across the ground.
"These belong to you." He waved his hand and distributed everything except the dragon eggs and armor to everyone.
At the same time, dust billowed from the ruins of Earl Feiling's castle. When five figures descended from the sky, Feiling's expression suddenly changed, and he took two steps at a time to meet them.
The middle-aged man in the lead had hawk-like eyes and said coldly, "Lead the way, and let the outsiders leave."
She obeyed the order respectfully, and after the knights dispersed, the middle-aged man took out a disc-shaped magic item.
A blue light swept across the ruins, and five shadows reappeared in the air, clearly showing the escape route to the north.
"The Lord will personally look into this matter, so please take care of it."
The middle-aged man put away his props and disappeared into the sky in an instant. However, even if they tried their best to track him, after those blurry figures swayed a few times, the middle-aged man completely lost his direction.
Then, he used the communication crystal to notify the person on the other end.
After the call was connected, they briefly explained the situation. The angry roar coming from the communication crystal made everyone's eardrums hurt. After a long time, a cold order was heard: "Come back." The five people looked at the empty north, turned around helplessly, and their figures gradually merged into the clouds in the south.
