Martin slowly turned his head, looked directly at Karen, and asked solemnly, "Brother, you don't want to marry her, do you?"
Karen looked conflicted, but finally nodded slowly.
Seeing this, Martin held his forehead helplessly and sighed, "Brother, you're in trouble now. If father finds out about this, you'll definitely be in big trouble, and your wife won't let it go either."
Hearing Martin's words, Karen's face became even uglier, and she subconsciously turned her gaze to Sita beside her.
"Fifth brother, I know you are capable, can't you help me this time?" Karen said almost pleadingly.
Martin looked embarrassed, and the incident with Beilin came to his mind. He felt a surge of emotion in his heart. After a long sigh, he said helplessly, "Forget it."
Then, he looked at Karen and said in a serious tone, "Prince Karen, I will pretend that I didn't see what happened today, and I will not pursue the right and wrong of it any further."
"Handle it properly on your own. Originally, I was thinking of executing this woman in front of you so that you would completely stop thinking about her, but when I think of Beilin, I don't want to interfere in your affairs anymore."
After saying that, Martin waved his hand, signaling Karen to take the dancer away.
Karen's lips moved slightly, as if she wanted to say something else, but she swallowed her words in the end.
At this time, Martin had already stood up, sat back on the throne, and began to deal with memorials, looking so focused on official business that he had no time to care about anything else.
Seeing this, Karen reluctantly bowed respectfully to Martin, then gently pulled Sita and slowly left.
After Karen took Sita away, Martin said to the person behind him without even looking back, "Go check on that woman named Sita and find out her background."
As soon as he finished speaking, a shadow hunter emerged from the shadows like a ghost.
He bowed respectfully to Martin, and disappeared without a trace in a flash.
After this incident, Martin really had no intention of reviewing memorials.
He thought to himself, he really couldn't understand what Karen was thinking.
The imperial aristocracy had many children, but he fell in love with a dancer.
Martin thought that if there was nothing wrong with the dancer, he would not interfere in the matter and let his elder brother Karen handle it on his own.
Afterwards, Martin suppressed his inner thoughts and patiently dealt with today's memorials.
Time passed quietly between the pen tip and the paper, and before I knew it, two hours had gone by.
Suddenly, a strange wave appeared in the quiet space, just like a huge rock thrown into a calm lake, causing ripples to spread out.
Then, the Shadow Hunter slowly walked out from the fluctuation area, holding a piece of information.
He walked with steady steps and respectfully handed the information in his hand to Martin, and then planned to hide as usual.
Just as the Shadow Hunter was about to disappear, Martin suddenly called out to him, "The Empire's affairs are complicated and full of problems, and all kinds of shady things are increasing day by day."
"You will go to the Loyalty Academy and select those promising assassins from among the many students. You will form a team called 'Dragon Shadow'. This team will be responsible for handling matters within the empire that should not be made public."
"I've already contacted the Loyalty Academy. As for how to train them, the academy has corresponding regulations. You can make flexible arrangements based on the actual situation."
"But one thing is crucial: they must live up to the name 'Dragon Shadow' and be as loyal and mysterious as a shadow, completing their mission efficiently."
The Shadow Hunter nodded slightly, his voice hoarse but firm: "Your Majesty's order is my mission. I will do my best to live up to your trust."
After he finished speaking, he bowed respectfully again, then waved his hands quickly in the air, and a space crack was instantly opened. Then his figure flashed and disappeared into the crack.
Martin frowned slightly, his eyes then fell on the information in his hand and he began to study it carefully.
Martin stared at the information in front of him, his brows gradually twisted into a knot.
This dancer named Sita is full of suspicious things. She joined the Rose Tavern halfway and seemed to be trying to get close to Karen.
In just three days, Karen became obsessed with her and even fought with her for it.
Martin thought for a moment and mentally instructed the intelligence chief, "Dispatch a team of tracking experts to closely monitor the dancer named Sita at the Rose Tavern. We must investigate her background and ensure she dares to plot against the royal family."
The Minister of Intelligence responded quickly, saying he would do so immediately, and then cut off contact.
At this moment, a palace knight came to report: "Your Majesty, the Second Princess requests an audience."
Martin subconsciously touched his waist, feeling helpless, but still ordered: "Let her in."
The court knight withdrew as ordered, and soon after, Fuya walked lightly into the throne room.
She walked up to Martin with a graceful figure, bowed elegantly, and said apologetically, "Your Majesty, my sister Qiao Wei'an wants to see you."
As she spoke, she looked at Martin with a guilty look on her face, which made Martin a little confused.
"Tell me, what's going on?" Martin asked doubtfully.
Fu Ya looked embarrassed and said apologetically, "Your Majesty, I accidentally told my sister about the contract between you and me. Now my sister asked me to invite you over to see her."
Martin was speechless for a moment. Normally, after signing a contract, one would subconsciously bury the relevant matters deep in his heart, but why did Fuya tell it out so quickly?
He didn't want to sign a contract with Jovian. After all, his feelings towards her were completely different from those towards Fu Ya and the others.
Martin sighed helplessly. Well, he could only take it one step at a time.
