Chapter 44: Slaughtering the Auction House, Prison Talents

As night fell, Eric returned and reported to Martin, saying that the mission had been completed. Martin nodded slightly, indicating that Eric should retreat and rest.

Time flew by, and the night passed in a flash. The next morning, after washing up and eating, Martin left Luoqiu Town with Alton and Eric, who had been waiting for them for a long time. They found a cave nearby. Martin first let Eric enter to carefully inspect it, and after confirming that it was safe, he invited Alton to join them.

After entering the cave, Martin looked at Alton with a sharp gaze and asked, "Are you willing to swear allegiance to me?" Alton did not hesitate and immediately responded, "I do, Lord!"

In an instant, the fifty thousand energies dissipated, and the knightly power surrounding Alton surged like a raging tide, its momentum rising and falling. He concentrated all his energy on stabilizing his realm, his aura constantly vibrating. Martin and Eric waited patiently in the cave for three full days.

On the morning of the fourth day, Alton slowly opened his eyes, a determined light flashing in them. He immediately knelt on one knee and expressed his absolute loyalty to Martin. Martin nodded with satisfaction and took out a set of A-grade knight armor as a gift to Alton.

Alton took the armor with both hands and quickly put it on. In an instant, the power of the knight surged wildly around him, and his whole aura reached a new level. Martin also took out a space ring, a communication crystal, and 500 gold coins and handed them to Alton.

Seeing this, Alton wanted to kneel down to express his gratitude again, but Martin stopped him and said, "Don't be so formal. Working wholeheartedly for me in the future will be the greatest loyalty." After that, Martin took Eric and Alton back to Luoqiu Town.

Upon returning to Luoqiu Town, Martin ordered Eric and Alton to kill everyone in Peter's auction house and take back all valuables, especially valuable slaves, such as those with special talents. After receiving the order, the two quickly took action.

After they left, Martin sent a message to Yoder through the communication crystal, summoning him. Not long after, Yoder hurried over and respectfully asked, "Master Martin, what do you want from me?" Martin replied, "Come with me to the prison later. By the way, how many people are there now?"

Although Joad was full of doubts, he answered truthfully: "Master, there are more than 80 people in the prison now, most of them are on death row, and only a very few have never taken a life." Hearing this, Martin asked Joad to take him to the prison.

Arriving at the prison, Martin stepped into the cellblocks. The prisoners were surprised to see a young man dressed in elegant, aristocratic attire walk in. However, a few still remained daring enough to utter obscenities.

Martin remained calm upon hearing this and simply signaled the prison guards to drag the prisoner out and execute him on the spot. This action had an immediate effect. As Martin continued to march, the prisoners dared not utter any disrespectful words. Martin then had the prison director bring a list of the prisoners and began to examine and interrogate them one by one.

During this time, Martin received a message from Eric through the communication crystal, informing him that the mission had been completed and the person had been brought to his hotel. After several hours of careful selection, Martin finally picked out a death row prisoner, a half-orc named Manfeng.

He killed the shop owner's entire family in a rage because he forced them to buy furs worth five gold coins for one silver coin, and was subsequently arrested by the guards. After talking with Manfeng, Martin found that he had a strange mind, almost insane. Although he was a knight, once he went crazy, he could compete with the Bronze Knight, which was truly amazing.

After all, within the power hierarchy, each level is like an insurmountable barrier. Unless one possesses extremely powerful magical items, it's impossible to achieve a cross-level battle. After Martin signed a slave contract with Manfeng, he took him out of prison, intending to train him well, hoping that if he could reach the level of a Golden Knight, he could even fight a Sky Knight.

Martin left the prison and told Yoder he'd come back the next day. He planned to first inspect the finds at Peter's auction house and then visit the thirteen prospectors. He told Yoder to go about his business and then returned to the hotel with Manfeng. Eric and Alton had been waiting for a long time and immediately greeted Martin.

Martin nodded and asked, "What did you get from this operation?" Eric stepped forward and presented six space rings. Martin was quite surprised. He had thought one or two would be good, but he didn't expect so many. He took the rings, but didn't examine them immediately. Instead, he asked Eric, "What about the slaves you mentioned in the communication crystal?"

Eric deliberately kept the secret and then asked Alton to bring the person over.

A moment later, there was a knock on the door. After receiving the answer, Alton walked in with a figure. Martin thought it was an elf at first, but when the figure came closer, he found out that it was a half-elf.

Such half-elfs were rare treasures among slaves. Martin speculated that perhaps this half-elf was originally intended to be offered to the forces behind the caravan, and now that he had intercepted it, he could have earned some interest. Martin examined the half-elf, whose beauty was so stunning. No wonder the nobles were so eager to own an elven slave.

After watching for a while, Martin ordered Eric to take the half-elf to the Earl's Castle and hand it over to Wayne. Eric obeyed the order, grabbed the half-elf and disappeared in an instant.

Martin called the inn's servant and asked him to prepare a sumptuous meal to entertain Manfeng. After the servant took Manfeng away, Martin said to Alton, "Perhaps in a few days, you will be stationed at a mine. Work hard and earn more gold coins for me."

As he said this, he patted Alton on the shoulder. Alton immediately said, "Please rest assured, Master Martin, I will complete your instructions to the letter!" Martin nodded with satisfaction.

As he was speaking, the communication crystal hanging on Martin's waist suddenly lit up. It was a call from Yoder.

Martin quickly answered the call, and Yoder's anxious voice came over instantly: "Master Martin, something terrible has happened! Peter's Auction House has been massacred, and now people outside are in a panic, and all kinds of rumors are spreading."

Martin looked calm and steady as he spoke to the communication crystal, “Yode, you don’t have to worry about Peter’s auction house. I told Eric and Alton to do it.

Immediately mobilize the guards to deal with those who spread rumors and arrest them all. But remember, do not disturb the people when you act, and do not arrest people indiscriminately.

When Yoder heard this, his heart immediately settled down, and he quickly responded, "Yes, Master Martin! I will arrange for the guards to arrest those who spread rumors and caused trouble."
