After half a month of sailing in the void, Martin and his party arrived at the border of the Gods' Plane. From afar, they saw an unidentified fleet frantically attacking the border starport, and the artillery fire exploded with dazzling light in the void.
Martin's brow furrowed, his mind filled with questions: What were Malcador and his men doing? Why were they ignoring the border conflict? He immediately contacted Malcador via telepathic link to inquire about the situation.
After a moment, Malcador responded with evident shock that he and the military brass had been completely unaware of the incident.
The top military officials immediately contacted the border starports, but found that none of the three border starports responded.
"Your Majesty, all three starports have lost contact." Malcador's voice was solemn.
Martin was both angry and amused: "How long have I been away, and you've already become so lazy?"
But this was clearly not the time to ask for censure. He said in a deep voice, "Immediately dispatch troops to support the other two border starports. Leave the starport in the northwest corner to me."
"Yes!" Malcador instantly understood that His Majesty was going to take action personally.
After hanging up the call, he glared at the Void Dragon King beside him and said, "Speed up, target the starport in front!"
The huge dragon body suddenly accelerated, causing a space storm.
The dragon knight and golden behemoth behind him followed closely behind, galloping towards the direction where the fighting was most intense.
The attack fleet soon discovered Martin and his group, and immediately turned their firepower, launching traps that looked like dragon eggs.
These traps exploded in the air, releasing the wails of the young dragons and disruptive energy. The dragon riders, who had not yet fully adapted to the new formation, suddenly became flustered and their formation became loose.
Martin shook his head secretly at the sight. He had originally wanted to use this battle as a training ground for the new dragon riders, but it seemed he had been acting too hastily. He immediately ordered, "Golden Behemoth No. 2, attack!"
The leading golden Behemoth moved in response, and golden light burst out from its huge body, condensing out of thin air into a golden sword dozens of feet long.
It roared angrily and swung its sword towards the distant fleet. A dazzling golden sword energy cut through the void, like a scythe of the god of death, sweeping across the fleet formation.
“Boom boom boom—”
A series of violent explosions sounded, and the fleet in front of the star port was instantly swallowed up by the golden sword energy, turning into a burning wreckage. Flames spread in the void, and debris flew everywhere.
The power of this attack stunned the dragon knights behind him, and even the other seven golden behemoths showed shock.
Only then did they truly feel how terrifying this person's strength had reached.
Martin stared blankly at the sea of fire ahead and said solemnly to the dragon knights, "Watch out! This is the battlefield. If you lose your composure, you'll only become a target for the enemy."
The dragon knights came back to their senses, with expressions of shame and determination on their faces. They quickly reorganized their formation, their eyes fixed on the remaining enemy ships.
The shock just now turned into a stronger desire to fight - they understood that they would need to put in more effort to keep up with His Majesty's pace.
The Golden Behemoth boss swung his arms, and the golden sword disappeared. He growled at Martin, as if asking for permission to chase after the remaining enemies.
Martin nodded: "Clean it up and don't leave any hidden dangers."
With his order, the golden behemoths rushed out like beasts out of a cage. The dragon knights also suppressed their distracting thoughts, rode their dragon cubs and followed closely behind, charging towards the remaining enemy ships.
The war at the northwest corner starport was instantly reversed with the intervention of Martin and his team.
The Star Port's Legion Commander was staring at the battlefield through a magic telescope when he saw the familiar figure standing on the Void Dragon Emperor.
His blood instantly boiled over, and he excitedly shouted into the communicator, "It's Your Majesty! Quick! Order all able-bodied knights to drive the fleet out to greet Your Majesty!"
The remaining warships in the star port started up immediately, and their guns no longer aimed at the enemy ships, but moved towards the direction where Martin and his group were.
At this time, the few fish that had escaped the net on the battlefield were surrounded and eliminated by the completely enraged dragon knights and the seven golden beasts.
The new dragon knights gathered their strength and rode their giant dragons through the wreckage, their dragon breaths intertwined as they tore apart the remaining enemy ships one by one.
The Golden Behemoth relied on its brute force to smash its giant fists directly at the ships that were trying to escape, and every blow was accompanied by a loud sound of metal tearing.
In just a moment, the last enemy ship turned into ashes in the dragon's breath, and only burning debris and the outline of the starport remained in the void.
Martin rode on the Void Dragon King and slowly landed on the main deck of the starport, surrounded by a group of dragon knights and golden behemoths.
The legion commander had already been waiting there with the core knights. When he saw Martin, he knelt down on one knee with a plop, his voice choked with sobs.
"I am incompetent and have caused the Star Harbor to suffer such heavy damage. Please forgive me, Your Majesty!"
The knights behind him also knelt down, their faces full of guilt.
Martin raised his hand and motioned for them to stand up. "Deal with the casualties first and count the losses. Have you figured out where the enemy came from?"
The legion commander quickly stood up and bowed, replying, "Preliminary assessment is that they are the main force of the 'Shattered Star Pirates'. They had previously been entrenched in the neighboring star field. I didn't expect them to dare to directly attack the Empire's starport..."
"The Broken Star Pirates?" Martin's eyes were slightly cold. "It seems that we haven't dealt with these bastards, so they have become a little too carried away."
He looked at the dragon knights behind him. "See? The universe is so vast, there are always those who don't know how to live or die. Next, let me show you how to completely eradicate these hidden dangers."
The dragon knights responded in unison. After experiencing the actual combat just now, the awkwardness in their eyes faded a lot, and they had a bit more of the real battlefield sharpness.
After Martin explained the subsequent defense deployment and enemy tracking matters to the Star Port Legion Commander, he led the team to continue heading towards the central area of the Gods' Plane.
