Chapter 596: The Fusion of Many Races, the Warmth of Family

The star tracks of the light column plane emitted a soft halo when Martin returned, and the energy flow after merging with the hell plane was wrapped around the atmosphere like a ribbon.

The entire star field is illuminated with a mixture of light and darkness - this is a unique sight after the plane is promoted. The light and darkness that were once clearly distinguished are now coexisting in a delicate balance.

The outline of Yulong City stretched out in the stardust, nearly ten times larger than it was a few years ago.

Outside the obsidian city walls, in the newly expanded urban area, bat-winged merchants from the Hell Clan were bargaining with craftsmen from the Light Wing Clan from the Plane of Light.

The stalls were filled with abyssal ores tempered with holy light, or light crystals infused with shadow energy.

In the tavern on the corner, the Tauren warrior raised his lava wine glass and clinked glasses with the Bone Dragon Knight. The wine splashed on the floor, and golden sparks and black smoke rose at the same time.

As Martin's flagship hovered over Yulong City, cheers came from the ground.

He changed to a flying boat to enter the city, and all he saw along the way were traces of integration: next to the Light Wing Clan's temple stood the Hell Clan's obsidian tablet, engraved with the trade rules jointly formulated by the two clans.

The streets that once only allowed the flow of light elements now have shadow energy and holy light interweaving and flowing between the cracks in the stone slabs like two intertwined rivers.

The imperial palace is located on a floating island in the center of the city, and is made of a mixture of white jade from the light column plane and black iron from the hell plane.

The star crystals inlaid in the dome can refract both holy light and shadow, casting mottled light and shadow in the hall.

When Martin entered the palace, the guards standing on either side included both Light Column Knights clad in holy light armor and Hell Guards wielding bone blades. They all knelt on one knee and said in unison, "Your Majesty, we welcome you back."

On the pillar next to the throne hung a newly drawn star map, which marked the energy nodes after the fusion of the light column and the hell plane.

The dense spots of light are like a web, firmly connecting the two once opposing worlds.

Martin walked to the front of the throne and ran his fingertips over the patterns carved on the armrests: on one side was the totem of the dragon knight, on the other side was the totem of the golden behemoth, which turned into winding vines at the intersection.

"Thank you all for your hard work over the past few years," he said softly.

The Archon standing in the hall bowed in response. He was the new leader elected by the elders of the two tribes, and had the blood of both dragons and behemoths flowing in his body.

"Thanks to Your Majesty's great blessing, the two tribes have completed the seventh energy cycle test, and the conflict rate has dropped to less than 3%. The newly born mixed-blood descendants can already freely control both energies."

Martin nodded, his gaze directed outside the hall. The clamor of Yulong City drifted in through the open hall door, mingling with songs praising the dragon riders and the horns of the Behemoths, creating a surprisingly harmonious atmosphere.

"Pass the order down,"

He sat on the throne, and his voice spread throughout the city through the palace's loudspeaker array.

"A fusion celebration will be held in three days, with all races celebrating their advancement to the Pillar of Light. Additionally, the ancient book libraries of both races will be opened, allowing scholars to jointly compile a new history. From this day forward, there will be no distinction between light and darkness, only our shared home."

The cheers outside the hall rang out again, even louder than before.

Martin looked at the light and shadow reflected from the dome, and suddenly remembered the first time he stepped into the light column plane many years ago. The sky here was filled with pure white light.

Now, the interweaving colors of light and darkness cover the sky, like a newly completed oil painting, waiting for more strokes to add color.

Three days before the celebration, Yulong City seemed to be sprinkled with stardust, and there was excitement everywhere.

The children of the Light Wings tribe strung glowing feathers into wind chimes and hung them on the eaves of the Hell tribe's shops.

When the wind blew, the tinkling halo mixed with the whistle polished with obsidian by the Shadow Clan children, forming a unique melody.

Martin spent a full day in the ancient book library. The parchment scrolls of the Light Wings Clan recorded the secrets of the movement of the stars, while the stone carvings of the Hell Clan depicted the veins of underground lava.

The scholars gathered around the long table, arguing endlessly and occasionally clapping their hands on the table as they laughed. It turned out that the "beating of the heart of the earth" in the legends of the Light Wings Clan and the "laws of lava tides" recorded by the Hell Clan were actually the same thing.

On the day of the celebration, a massive altar was erected in the square of the floating island. The high priest of the Behemoth clan unfurled a gilded scroll.

The Behemoth shaman ignited the Netherworld Fire, and the two forces collided and merged in the center of the altar, turning into a spiraling beam of light that pierced the sky.

Representatives of each tribe held hands and formed a circle. The white jade from the light column plane and the black iron from the hell plane gradually merged under their feet, producing new stone with gold and silver patterns.

At this time, the Archon came over holding a newly bound booklet. "Your Majesty, this is the first volume of 'The Rules of Cohabitation' compiled by scholars from many races. Would you like to take a look?"

On the cover of the booklet, totems of light and darkness are intertwined into the shape of a heart.

Martin took the booklet and ran his fingertips across the cover: "No need, they know how to get along better than us."

He looked up at the sky. After the beam of light dissipated, the overlapping shadows of light wings and bat wings appeared on the clouds, like a new constellation.

The hustle and bustle in Yulong City continues.

At this moment, Martin had just pushed open the door of the bedroom when a burst of brisk footsteps hit his ears.

Jovian came quickly towards them, holding a little boy with pigtails. The child was wearing a small jacket embroidered with stars and had a chubby, rosy face. It was four-year-old Peter.

"Dad!" Peter broke free from Jovian's hand, pounced on Martin with his short legs, hugged his knees, looked up and smiled, his eyes shining as if there were two stars hidden in them.

"Peter learned how to use magic to fold a small spaceship today. Show it to Daddy!" He held up the piece of paper in his hand as if presenting a treasure. The crooked paper boat did indeed emit a faint magical glow.
