Chapter 72: Prepare to enjoy life, Charlemagne's Kingdom is defeated

So, Martin led a group of people back to the castle, summoned the housekeeper Lilith, and told her to take these people down for a thorough inspection.

After handing the person over to Lilith, Martin was filled with anticipation, waiting for the butler to complete his inspection so he could experience the life of an aristocrat. But while he was waiting, his communication crystal suddenly lit up.

When the call was connected, it turned out to be an emergency call from Earl White. Earl White's tone was hurried and a bit panicked: "Martin, something bad has happened! The Kingdom of Charlemagne has been defeated!"

Martin was shocked when he heard this and asked hurriedly, "How could this happen?"

It turned out that Earl White had just learned of this tragic news, and the news had not yet spread. If it weren't for the message from His Highness in the capital, he would probably have known for a long time.

The Warcraft Legion of the Kingdom of Charlemagne had previously been in fierce confrontation with the Legion of the Kingdom of Orcs in the territory of the Kingdom of Dwarves. The two sides were evenly matched and the battle was stalemate.

However, no one expected that the Dwarf King would succeed in persuading the Orc Kingdom to join the war by offering some tempting conditions.

On the battlefield of the Dwarf Kingdom, when the two sides were fighting fiercely, the Orcs used an S-level item "Heart of the Mist" to create a large area of fog, making it difficult for the Sky Knights of the Kingdom of Charlemagne to detect their movements.

The orcs' monster army took the opportunity to quickly attack from the flank, and in an instant, the situation on the battlefield suddenly reversed.

Seeing the critical situation, the two Sky Knights of the Kingdom of Charlemagne made a prompt decision and ordered the legion commander to withdraw his troops.

But the Orc and Orc Warcraft Legions would not let them go easily, and they pursued them relentlessly, biting the Charlemagne army. Seeing their own army being eaten away bit by bit, the two Sky Knights had no choice but to take action to stop the enemy.

But this move was like stirring up a hornet's nest. Four powerful auras suddenly surged from the enemy's formation. In the blink of an eye, two orc shamans and two half-orc sky knights appeared.

Without further ado, the two sides engaged in a ferocious exchange of blows. The ferocious battle that erupted in the sky, creating a terrifying wave of energy, forced the pursuing troops below to halt.

Those Warcraft Knights who disobeyed orders and tried to continue the pursuit were instantly torn to pieces by the aftermath of the battle.

The Charlemagne troops took this opportunity to finally catch their breath. Without hesitation, the legion commander immediately led the remaining troops in a desperate retreat towards Charlemagne.

As a Warcraft force, they moved swiftly and retreated quickly. However, the other royal legions were not so lucky. Hampered by the orc and orc sky forces, they gradually lost touch with the battlefield.

Without the protection of the Warcraft Legion, facing an enemy force two or three times their size, the Royal Legion of Charlemagne was quickly annihilated. Fortunately, most of the First and Second Royal Warcraft Legions survived and continued their march towards the border of the Dwarven Kingdom.

While retreating, the legion commander quickly informed King Charlemagne of the defeat.

When the king learned about it, he was furious, but he did not dare to delay. He hurriedly sent two sky knights from the royal capital and hired two sky mages from the Mages Guild to rush to the border of the Dwarf Kingdom to meet up with the legion and support the sky knights who were fighting with the enemy's sky forces.

The sky force was moving extremely fast in the sky, and soon reached the dwarf border.

Looking down from the sky, the four of them saw a group of Warcraft Knights fleeing in panic towards the border from afar. With their excellent eyesight, they immediately recognized that it was the Warcraft Legion of the Kingdom of Charlemagne.

Seeing that they were about to reach the border, the four of them did not hesitate at all. They flashed a few times and flew towards the direction where the Sky Knights were fighting.

They followed the aftermath of the battle and finally found the headless bodies of the two Sky Knights in the heart of the Dwarven Kingdom. But they were still a step too late!

Upon seeing this, the two Sky Knights of the Kingdom of Charlemagne were furious and wanted to slaughter the orc tribe immediately to vent their hatred.

But two sky mages from the Magicians Guild hurried forward to stop them, saying, "If we continue to break the rules so recklessly, the orcs will be able to cross the border and massacre our people."

After hearing this, the Sky Knights were silent for a long time before they suppressed their anger, stepped forward, carefully placed their companions' bodies into the space ring, and left without looking back.

The remaining two sky mages exchanged a glance, realizing that the situation had reached a dead end. They were in serious trouble! They also soared into the sky, channeling their magical powers and speeding towards Charlemagne's capital.

When King Charlemagne heard the news of his defeat, he was so angry that he fainted on the spot. Fortunately, the court pharmacist reacted quickly and arrived in time.

Thanks to the pharmacist's dedicated treatment, the king was not unconscious for long and slowly regained consciousness. He ignored his frail body and, forcing himself to stay awake, immediately ordered his attendants to summon the members of parliament to inform them of the grave crisis facing the kingdom.

For a moment, the parliament hall in Charlemagne's capital was in chaos, and everyone looked panicked and talked a lot.

At the same time, the orc and orc troops who failed to successfully pursue the troops of the Kingdom of Charlemagne quickly adjusted their strategy and turned their spearhead towards the Warcraft Legion of the Kingdom of Dante.

The defenseless Dante Kingdom's army was unable to withstand this fierce attack. Compared with the previous Charlemagne Kingdom, they were not so lucky and were eventually annihilated.

What's even more tragic is that the two sky knights of Dante Kingdom were outnumbered and had no choice but to self-destruct when facing the siege of six enemy sky fighters.

Although this self-explosion injured three enemy air combat forces and killed one, the Dante Kingdom also lost its most powerful air force.
