Chapter 2: Reaching an Agreement

Chapter 2: Reaching an Agreement

The man was holding a stick in one hand, revealing part of his wrist. Veins were crawling out of his sleeve and up the back of his hand. Unlike the dark-skinned peeper in front of him, this man was very white.

His knuckles were distinct and his hands were beautiful. At this moment, he used such hands to block her stick. The force was so great that he could not be rejected.

The young man held on to the stick tightly, a smile on his face, "If you hit me again, someone will die."

In this scenario, it seemed like he was trying to stop a fight, but there were no earnest words. The boy's clear voice and relaxed smile made her stunned for a moment.

Although the man was wearing a hat, he was tall, and at this distance Jiang Jinyue could just see his entire face.

His eyebrows are thick, and there is a sense of abruptness along the direction of his brow bone. His brow bone and nose bridge are very high, which makes his eye sockets deep, with shallow double eyelids and deep eyes.

At this time, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, and he looked extraordinarily handsome.

"He has a mother who gave birth to him, but no mother who taught him. It's wrong for him to peek at you. I'll punish him for you. Don't hit him."

The man spoke in a clear voice.

"How do you punish me?" Jiang Jinyue held the stick tightly without loosening her grip, staring at him stubbornly.

She had just finished asking this question.

The man looked at the peeping child, his smile disappeared, his eyes changed suddenly, and the smiling look disappeared.

A stern voice: "I told you last time, if you do this again, what will be the punishment?" (dialect)

Jiang Jinyue raised her eyebrows. She had always thought that this man was from the crew, so how could he speak the local dialect?

Could it be that he is from this mountain valley?

She was shocked but kept a straight face.

But her shock was not over yet. The man just said one sentence, and the child who was peeking just now suddenly knelt down, even trembling.

He kowtowed heavily to her.

"I was wrong! I was wrong!" (dialect)

The child kowtowed every time he spoke a word.

Again and again, listening to the crisp sound, you can tell that no water was released at all.

After he knocked it several times, the man finally let go of the stick and looked at her: "Is this okay?"

Jiang Jinyue put on an icy face and still didn't give in. Instead, he asked, "What did he say?"

She couldn't understand the local dialect at all.

"He's saying 'I was wrong.'"

The boy kowtowed for a full minute before Jiang Jinyue said coldly, "Stop it. If you peek at others bathing when you're a kid, you'll commit crimes when you grow up. This is just a minor punishment, but if you dare do it again, I won't show mercy."

After that, he instructed the man, "Translate it for him."

The man raised his eyebrows. As expected of a young lady from the city, she was naturally good at ordering people around.

With a condescending and spoiled attitude.

The pride that transcends this poor place.

The hat obscured the man's eyes, and only the corners of his lips could be seen.

He obediently conveyed his words to the boy in dialect, and added privately: "Next time you find me, I will throw you into the mountains. I mean what I say."

The boy's face was filled with extreme panic. He stood up hurriedly and nodded continuously.

At this moment, his whole face was simply unbearable to look at. On one side was bruised by the stone, on the other side was bleeding from being hit by a stick, and in the middle was blood from the kowtow he had just made.

But he didn't care about anything and quickly climbed over the wall and ran away with his pants in hand.

Jiang Jinyue looked at his skillful movements and was a little surprised.

At that moment, there were only two of them left in the yard.

Jiang Jinyue looked at the man coldly, "Why don't you leave?"

The man nodded, but showed no intention of moving. He glanced at the room and asked casually, "Do you still dare to take a shower?"

Jiang Jinyue pursed her lips, with a questioning look in her eyes: "What's it to you?"

Seeing her showing off, the man smiled even more deeply, and his deep eyes under the hat narrowed into crescents.

Laugh, laugh, laugh! What are you laughing at!

Just as Jiang Jinyue was about to lose his temper, the man said, "Go wash, I'll watch you."

"Hmph," Jiang Jinyue immediately laughed disdainfully.

"How can I trust you? How can I trust you?"

The man lowered his eyes and thought for a moment. "How about this? I'll stand at the door and say something from time to time. You can judge by the sound of my voice whether I'm getting close to peek, okay?"

Jiang Jinyue has a niche pet peeve. He can't accept others saying "Hmm?" to him. The rising ending tone is so greasy.

But what the person in front of me said was not only not greasy, but also made people feel a little... itchy?

The tone was gentle, yet serious.

Jiang Jinyue realized that she had just been savoring his tone. She was so scared that she immediately turned around, entered the room, and closed the door, all in one go.

A cold voice said, "I'm just going in to wash my hands."

The second half of the sentence - Whoever wants to take a bath can take it.

He said he was washing his hands, but he didn't come out for a long time until he screamed, "Ah! Rat!"

Bai Yuqing was originally squatting at the foot of the wall, bored, with his knees close to his shoulders, drawing on the ground with a stick. Upon hearing this, his eyes changed, he threw down the stick, walked quickly to the door, and immediately pushed it open and walked in.

The moment he pushed the door open, a woman jumped directly on him, her agility should be enough to kill a mouse.

Bai Yuqing subconsciously lifted the girl's thigh with his hand, then hurriedly put it down, and a blush appeared on his ears.

He let the girl hold his neck and hung himself up.

The mouse that scared Jiang Jinyue to scream was frightened by the sudden movement and ran away.

Bai Yuqing watched the mouse disappear without a trace, his hands spread out at his sides, "The mouse ran away."

"real?"

"real."

Jiang Jinyue jumped off Bai Yuqing.

The two looked at each other.

Only then did Bai Yuqing see that Jiang Jinyue's face, eyes, and nose were all red. In addition to the tear marks on her face, there was a pool of water in her eyes.

The lower lip was bitten.

No wonder it took so long to wash my hands, it turned out I was crying inside.

Her eyes were stubborn, but the next second, this cold and quiet girl suddenly squatted on the ground, buried her head, and cried uncontrollably.

Bai Yuqing wondered how a girl who had lived a life of luxury since childhood could withstand such a shock. She was already very powerful.

He walked forward and closed the door. The girl in front of him seemed to be thin-skinned.

He took out another handkerchief and washed it in the big pot. Then he leaned lazily against the stove and watched the girl crying quietly.

The eyes are deep.

When the handkerchief in my hand became cold, I washed it again to keep it moist with warmth.

He repeated this three times, and after she raised her head, he handed her the handkerchief.

After Jiang Jinyue vented his anger, he raised his head and saw a handkerchief in front of him.

"I just washed it again, it's very clean, wipe your tears." The man's gentle voice came from above his head.

Jiang Jinyue looked at the handkerchief, then at his fingers, which were very white, with a hint of pink.

"Wipe your tears, or your face will be cracked when the wind blows outside."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Jinyue immediately took the handkerchief. It must have just been washed and was still warm.

After she finished wiping her face, a small jar appeared in front of her, "Facial oil, apply it."

Jiang Jinyue didn't answer.

"It's very dry here, be careful of wrinkles."

After these words were spoken, Jiang Jinyue reluctantly but without hesitation took the small jar he handed over.

Watching her apply it, Bai Yuqing suddenly asked:

"Want to leave?"

Jiang Jinyue looked up at him.

From this angle, her eyes appear bigger and her chin appears sharper.

The face is as small as a palm and looks pitiful.

"As you can see, the conditions here are very poor and people have no morals. Several staff members of your crew have only been here for two or three days and then left." His voice was low, and seemed somewhat gentle in this small space.

Jiang Jinyue squatted there, small as a bee, holding a handkerchief, "Whether I leave or not is none of your business."

"If you decide to stay here..." The man paused, as if contemplating something, then spoke out, "I'll be responsible for your safety while you're here. How's that?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Jinyue looked at the man sharply.

The question in his eyes was clear: What are you planning?

In their eye contact, the man seemed unaware of her vigilance and asked again, "Is that all right? I'm at your service."

After a while, the still angry woman finally spoke, coldly: "You can speak Mandarin."

"Hmm?" The man nodded. "Yes. So I can also be a translator, how about that?"

He put forward his conditions as if he was recruiting.

Jiang Jinyue also asked like an interviewer, "Why are you responsible for my safety?"

"Two reasons. First, poor and bad places breed bad people. You're too beautiful, and that's very dangerous."

Although he looks young, every word he says is sincere and sincere, without any greasy feeling.

Jiang Jinyue had heard the phrase "You are so beautiful" since he was a child, but this was the first time that the phrase sounded so light and airy, as if it was not a compliment but just a statement.

But Jiang Jinyue did not take it lightly, and asked, "What's the second reason?"

The man didn't act pretentiously. He grinned and said, "For the money."

Jiang Jinyue nodded, as if relieved by this answer. After thinking for a few seconds, he said, "Okay."

"You won't ask my price?"

Jiang Jinyue raised her eyelids and glanced at him: "I can afford any amount."

Thus, a quick, simple and serious agreement was reached in this small room.

The first time they met.

But in fact, there is only one person who is serious.

The other person just has ulterior motives.
