Chapter 70 The two faces were no more than one centimeter apart.

Wu Huaiqing shook his head and forced a smile. "I'm fine. I'm just a little tired. I'll go back and get some sleep."

"Director Wu, wait a minute!" Lu Ze called out to him, took out a handful of hard candies from his bag and stuffed them into Wu Huaiqing's hand, "Yu Yao and I just got married, please have some wedding candy."

Wu Huaiqing was surprised: "You two are married?"

Lu Ze nodded, then added, "Just three days ago, on our wedding day."

"Congratulations!" Wu Huaiqing suddenly felt a sense of relief, thankful that Yu Yao was not his younger sister.

If my aunt and uncle knew they had missed out on my sister's wedding, I wonder how much they would regret it.

Yu Yao assumed that Lu Ze considered Wu Huaiqing a friend, and that it was perfectly normal for him to offer wedding candy to a friend. "Thank you."

Wu Huaiqing put the candy in his pocket, climbed onto the middle bunk opposite him, and lay down.

Yu Yao glanced at him and gestured with her hand, "Is he really alright?"

Lu Ze nodded. "He should be fine. He's probably just taken a hit. He'll be alright after a good night's sleep."

That day, Wu Huaiqing looked preoccupied and spent almost all his time sleeping, except when he went to the toilet.

In the middle of the night, Yu Yao rubbed her sleepy eyes, glanced at the time, and thankfully didn't oversleep.

She got up and got out of bed, but saw Zhao Jiabao handing something to Zhang Cuie on the opposite bed.

Using the dim light from outside the window, Yu Yao could make out that it was a plastic bag containing something.

When Zhang Cuie saw her come down, she panicked for a moment, but quickly calmed down, put the things in her pocket, and looked at her with a wary gaze.

Yu Yao didn't pay attention, looked away, and took the important things to the next carriage to find Lu Ze.

Lu Ze's seat was near the corridor.

When Yu Yao arrived, he was leaning against his seat with his eyes closed, resting.

Everyone around him was sleeping in all sorts of crooked positions, but he sat upright, as if he had been measured with a ruler.

Afraid of disturbing others, Yu Yao walked over quietly.

But he was tripped by the foot of the person sleeping under the seat, and fell headlong into Lu Ze's arms.

Her reflexes, honed through years of boxing training, saved her.

She quickly stretched out her hands and braced herself on either side of Lu Ze's seat, stopping herself from falling.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

That was close! Luckily she reacted quickly, otherwise...

But as she looked ahead, Lu Ze also opened his eyes at the same time.

The two faces were no more than one centimeter apart.
