0035 Wedding Events (6)

0035 Wedding Events (6)

On weekends, He Lingling, a person who loves to sleep, usually makes good use of the limited time she can stay in bed, spending three-quarters of her weekend in bed.

Especially these past few days, Wanqi Fuze has been back at Songhan Residence, and he hasn't let her rest in bed every day. Even when she's asleep, he has to shamelessly wake her up. As a result, at three in the morning last night, she kicked Wanqi Fuze off the bed while he was moving on her, yelled at the somewhat dazed man, "Are you ever going to stop?", then wrapped herself in the blanket, turned over, and started to sleep.

She felt that if she didn't sleep a little longer, she would be completely drained.

To everyone's surprise, just as dawn broke, a large, icy hand landed on Lingling's face while she was still fast asleep. Lingling let out a wail and opened her eyes to see Wanqi Fuze's face.

His hair was slightly damp at the ends, and he was still wearing his tracksuit, which he must have brought from his morning run up the mountain. He still looked like he had that youthful energy from high school. He seemed to be in a pretty good mood, but she didn't care about his state. She didn't even have the energy to yell at him, so she turned over and went back to sleep.

Wanqi Fuze couldn't help but curl the corners of his lips, breathed on his hands a few times, and rubbed them together. Once they were warm, he reached under the covers and pinched her waist.

"He Lingling, get up."

She dodged his hand and muttered, "No..."

"Sweetie, I'll take you to eat." He leaned closer, his breath tickling her a little, but it smelled pleasant and refreshing.

"Should we get up or not?"

She shrank back a little further.

"..." Wanqi Fuze knew her temper well, so he took his hands off her and stood a little further away.

He cleared his throat and pretended to call out towards the bedroom door, "Auntie, please come in."

He Lingling quickly crawled out of bed, shouting "No!" and hurriedly looked for clothes to put on without looking around.

Last night, the only thing she was wearing was her nightgown, which Wanqi Fuze had shoved onto her while she was still half asleep. Besides that, she wasn't even wearing a bra. This guy not only woke her up this morning, but he also had to let the maid in! How annoying!

After she finished dressing and slid off the bed, she realized that the bedroom door was not open at all, and only Wanqi Fuze was looking at her, who was still a little dazed. His face seemed expressionless, but she could clearly see the triumphant amusement and smile in his dark eyes.

She threw a cushion at him, yelling, "You're sick!"

Wanqi Fuze caught her and smiled slightly the moment she turned around.

After washing up, He Lingling tied her hair and went downstairs. She saw Wan Qifuze sitting on the sofa looking at his iPad. Several formally dressed strangers stood next to him, all of whom gave her polite smiles as she came down.

When he was around, it wasn't uncommon for strangers to visit his home.

On the table were croissants and hot milk. Wanqi Fuze had changed into slightly more formal clothes and hadn't looked at her since she came downstairs. The aunt from Songhanju greeted Lingling and asked her to eat her breakfast, but she ignored the person and ate by herself.

During this time, Wanqi Fuze noticed that she glanced at him absentmindedly while looking at her phone.

The person continued to relax leisurely.

The people standing to the side thought to themselves, "You've finally realized that Miss He has been wasting time."

Wanqi Fuze: "Drinking cold drinks is bad for your health."

The crowd around: "..."

By the time He Lingling finished eating, it was already eight o'clock in the morning. She didn't expect that the people standing in Songhanju were waiting to do her hair and makeup. Before she could ask any questions, they pressed her into a chair.

Wanqi Fuze said, "Keep it simple."

The assistant replied, "Yes."

Only then did she notice that he wasn't wearing an ordinary suit today, but a modified Zhongshan suit. He didn't look like his usual businessman attire; instead, he exuded sophistication, elegance, and composure. The stylist had her change into an open-front cheongsam. The dress was plain, with subtle silver thread outlining simple patterns that, upon closer inspection, revealed a refined elegance and an understated air of nobility.

Another hour passed after they finally set off. Only after avoiding others in the car could she ask him where they were going.

He rarely took her to social events because she disliked those flattering occasions and hated the knowing looks people gave her when she stood beside him.

What he values so much today is definitely not an ordinary cocktail party.

But he only replied with two words: "Get married."

She was momentarily stunned, then remembered the wedding invitations he had personally written over three days in the study. The ringing of her phone interrupted her reverie.

It was Wanqi Fuze's phone. Because it was connected via Bluetooth, she could hear it clearly.

The voice on the other end was male, with a slightly roguish and lazy tone.

“Old Wan, I’m telling you, the old man is scolding Uncle Liu right now. If you don’t step in, this anger will shift from your father to you.”

Wanqi Fuze turned around and didn't turn back.

The person on the other end continued, "You're not the main character today, so you shouldn't be this late, right?"

He Lingling was stunned for a moment, but Wan Qifuze had already hung up the phone.

Bai Tijiang cursed "Damn it!" over there, thinking to himself that this kid had been angry for so long.

He Lingling suddenly felt her mood brighten up for some reason.

Wanqi Fuze immediately noticed her change in mood. Although he found it inexplicable, he also became happy for her.

The car was parked at a secluded clubhouse, where a parking attendant was waiting at the entrance.

He Lingling tried to open the car door, but Wan Qifuze stopped her.

He took out a purple velvet box from the car's storage compartment. It looked quite old, but it was well-preserved and undamaged.

Inside was a pair of pearl earrings, neither too big nor too small, but unusually round and lustrous. Even He Lingling, a layman, could tell they were no ordinary items.

Wanqi Fuze suddenly grabbed her waist, and with a little force, brought her in front of him, leaning down to put the ornament on her.

The posture and distance resemble... a kiss.

He Lingling blushed.

Wanqi Fuze looked into her eyes and softly uttered two words, "Get out of the car."
