Lu Jingzhi was stunned, then reacted and ate the pork belly in his mouth.
"My wife is lying."
"Hmm? How did I lie to you?"
He swallowed the meat and said, "It's...delicious."
"Really?" She pinched her chin, her bright almond eyes rolled around, and then she smiled playfully, "Which do you think is better, the meat, or my... saliva?"
"Of course it's your saliva that smells good."
"Come, my lady is feeding me a bite."
He chuckled, picked up the meat and put it to her mouth.
Yan An continued to feed a few more mouthfuls, looked at the lonely dish on the table, and said, "It would be even better if there was rice."
"I'll go check the kitchen. There should be some leftovers for tonight."
After saying that, he took the Wind and Thunder Step and rushed towards the Lu family's kitchen like a flash of lightning.
In just a few breaths, Lu Jingzhi arrived at the door, pushed it open with his right hand, and followed his memory to the large wooden barrel containing rice.
He lifted the lid and found enough food inside for four people.
So he picked up a ceramic bowl, filled it with rice, and then put the lid back on. When he was about to leave the kitchen, he suddenly saw Xiaopang walking slowly towards him with a lantern in his hand.
"Young...Young Master?" Xiaopang looked at Lu Jingzhi in surprise.
"Well, why aren't you asleep yet?"
Xiaopang yawned loudly, rubbed his eyes and said, "I just finished using the toilet and heard some noises in the kitchen. I thought it was a mouse, so I came over to check it out."
Hearing this, Lu Jingzhi smiled awkwardly, "Haha...yes, it is indeed a mouse."
Xiaopang looked around the kitchen in confusion, but didn't seem to notice anything unusual. "Master, are you looking for something to eat?"
"I'm hungry. Do you want some food?"
"I won't eat anymore. Good night, young master." After saying that, Xiaopang picked up the lantern and left with slightly shaky steps.
Lu Jingzhi turned around, closed the kitchen door, picked up an iron rod, and locked the door tightly.
Then, he walked to the pavilion with the wind and thunder steps, sat down on the chair, and habitually put his right hand around Yan An's slender waist.
"The meal is here, please pay the labor fee."
Yan An was concentrating on eating. When he heard this, he looked up with a bamboo shoot still in his mouth. He looked at him blankly and asked vaguely, "What's the hard work fee?"
Lu Jingzhi suddenly lowered his head and kissed her chubby red lips accurately. His tongue flexibly probed in and snatched the food from her mouth.
"Hehe...this is my hard work fee."
“It smells so good!”
Yan An looked at his shameless and sly expression, rolled her eyes at him helplessly, patted his chest lightly with her delicate hand, and said coquettishly, "I haven't even taken a few bites yet, I'll just feed it all to you."
Lu Jingzhi chuckled, "If that's the case, then I'll feed you too, so we're even."
"Okay." Yan An nodded and opened his mouth obediently.
Under the dim night sky, a hint of white slowly lit up from the horizon and gradually spread out.
The white belly became brighter and brighter, and finally turned into golden yellow, and the sun gradually appeared.
Three huge arks slowly approached from the east, their huge bodies casting shadows in the sky.
Inside the room, sunlight streamed through the window onto the big bed.
Lu Jingzhi's face was wrapped in something soft.
He rubbed it subconsciously and smelled a faint fragrance on the tip of his nose, which made him sleepier.
Knock knock...
The continuous knocking on the door, like drumbeats, broke the silence in the room and interrupted Lu Jingzhi and Yan An's sleep.
The Lu family manager's slightly anxious voice came from outside: "Master, Master, are you awake?"
"Someone from the Alchemy Association is here to pick you up."
Lu Jingzhi frowned slightly and did not immediately respond to the call outside the door. Instead, he buried his head deeper in Yan An's arms, as if trying to escape the noise of the outside world.
Suddenly, a pain came from his ear. Lu Jingzhi reached out to touch his ear, then reluctantly raised his head from Yan An's arms. His eyes were sleepy, full of confusion and sleepiness.
"What's wrong? It's so early in the morning."
He muttered, a hint of annoyance in his tone.
"The people from the Alchemy Association are here. It's time to get up and get ready to go."
Lu Jingzhi rubbed his eyes and scratched his messy long hair.
"They came so early, are they anxious to reincarnate?"
"Really? You disturbed my sleep."
At the same time, there was another knock on the door, more urgent than before, "Master, are you up?"
Lu Jingzhi took a deep breath and raised his voice to answer: "Well, get up and come in a while."
"Okay, young master." The people outside the house seemed relieved.
Lu Jingzhi sat on the edge of the bed, stretched, yawned, lowered his head, and his hair hung messily on his face. He looked lazy and casual.
Yan An got up from the bed, put on his clothes, and pinched his ear, "Lu Jingzhi, what are you still hesitating about?"
He raised his head and held Yan An's wrist, "Madam, I'm brewing something."
"Does it take time to get up?"
"Of course, it's like taking a shit. You have to wait until the right time, the right place, and the right people are all right before you can..."
Before he could finish his words, Yan An pinched his face.
"Lu Jingzhi, if you say that again I'll crush your mouth!"
"I...I know...you're going to crush my handsome face."
Yan An let go of his hand, snorted, opened the door and walked out.
