Some roofs have collapsed, leaving only a few crumbling wooden stumps.
Some doors and windows had long since disappeared, and the dark windows looked like huge mouths ready to devour people.
The whole village was eerily quiet, with no sign of human life at all.
The elder beside him had a puzzled look on his face and whispered to Ji Wuchang, "Master, this place is empty and there is nothing here. In my opinion, we should just fly out of here."
"If we fly out, what will happen to them?"
There are only a few people in the Ji family who are at the Xuanwang realm. If they run away, the rest of the family will be left behind.
Ji Wuhen said, "Brother, I'll go explore the way first."
Hearing this, Ji Wuchang thought for a moment and nodded slightly, "Well, then you go ahead and explore the way."
"If you discover a city or something like that, please report it to me as soon as possible."
Ji Wuhen bowed and replied: "Got it, big brother!"
After saying that, he stretched out his body and rushed towards the village entrance.
However, just one minute later, Ji Wuhen was seen flying back from the end of the village.
Seeing Ji Wuchang's behavior, he couldn't help but ask, "Huh? Wuhen, why did you turn back so quickly?"
Ji Wuhen scratched his head, his face full of confusion and bewilderment, "Brother, I was indeed flying forward just now, but I don't know how I ended up back here."
Ji Wuchang frowned upon hearing this. After thinking for a moment, he said, "Then why don't you try flying forward again and see how it goes?"
Ji Wuhen nodded without hesitation, flew up again and rushed straight to the village entrance.
But not long after, he still flew back from the end of the village, as if he had been circling in the same place.
"This...what on earth is going on?" Everyone present looked at each other, their hearts filled with astonishment and confusion.
Ji Wuchang decided to send other people to explore the way.
Afterwards, several elders received the order and quickly took off into the air, flying towards the village entrance.
But the result was exactly the same. These elders also flew back from the end of the village not long after.
Unwilling to accept defeat, Ji Wuchang gritted his teeth and once again led a group of people hurriedly out of the village, with a glimmer of hope in his heart that they could find a way out.
However, things went against their wishes. Not long after, they turned back from the village, their faces filled with disbelief and despair.
Not only that, no matter which direction they go, left, right, forward or backward, they will eventually return to where they started.
For a moment, the originally noisy crowd fell into deathly silence, and everyone's face was filled with fear and helplessness.
In this suffocating atmosphere, someone suddenly broke the silence and shouted tremblingly, "Master...Master, look over there!"
Ji Wuchang's heart skipped a beat and he quickly turned around, only to see a man as thin as a monkey slowly walking towards him.
This person had a pair of pointed ears and cheeks as thin as a monkey's. He was wearing a tattered, dark-colored garment with some white spots. His skin was a purple-black color that had never been seen before.
Ji Wuchang looked at the strange man in front of him warily and asked, "Who are you?"
The man laughed strangely, his laughter sharp and piercing, like the cry of a night owl, and then replied in an extremely shrill voice: "Hey, your Ji family escaped pretty quickly."
Hearing this, Ji Wuchang raised his eyebrows slightly, a hint of anger flashed in his eyes, and he asked: "Could it be that you are the one who trapped us here?"
The strange man didn't answer. Instead, he clasped his hands behind his back and looked up at the bright moon in the sky. "I just wanted to teach you a little lesson."
"Now, just follow me obediently."
As soon as he finished speaking, there was a crisp sound of snapping fingers.
In an instant, the entire village disappeared out of thin air.
And they suddenly appeared on a vast green meadow.
Ji Wuchang looked at the unfamiliar environment around him, took a deep breath, and no longer had any contempt for the mysterious "person" in front of him.
Because the guy who can trap everyone here must be much stronger than them.
"Come with me, someone wants to see you."
Ji Wuchang stared at the other person with a wary look on his face and asked loudly, "Why should we follow you?"
This half-human, half-ghost monster in front of me inexplicably wants everyone to follow him. How can such a thing be agreed to so easily?
What's more, judging from this guy's appearance and aura, he is definitely not a good person.
The monster sneered and said coldly, "I'm not negotiating with you. I'm forcing you to follow me."
"Don't refuse a toast, or you'll have to drink the penalty!" Before he finished speaking, a tremendous pressure surged out, instantly enveloping every member of the Ji family present.
Ji Wuchang, who was the first to be hit, felt as if a mountain was pressing down on him.
His face was filled with horror, his legs went limp, and he fell heavily to the ground like a dog, unable to get up no matter how hard he struggled.
"Are you going to follow me or not?"
"If you refuse, I will send you to hell right here and now."
His words terrified the women and children behind him. They sobbed softly, huddled together tightly, and their hearts were filled with despair.
Ji Wuchang looked up at the sky and sighed inwardly: "Oh, I really regret it!"
His face was full of regret, and now there was no other thought in his mind except deep regret.
