Chapter 176 Escape from Death

The sudden burst of light in the darkness made these dark creatures feel as if they had instantly traveled from midnight to midday.

The extreme discomfort in their eyes made them pause slightly as they were about to give chase. However, this delay allowed the black bird and the angel, who were leading the group, to run far away.

They were very fast, giving the dark creatures little time to react, and in the blink of an eye they had covered most of the distance.

Unfortunately, the difference in strength was too great. Even though the black bird had flown most of the distance, it was still caught up by the dark creatures behind it.

These were all level 6 dark creatures. Even some races that were not good at speed were much faster than level 4 creatures. Almost instantly, these dark creatures caught up with the Xuan Bird.

"Put me down, or we'll all die here!" Taishan shouted, but the black bird held on tightly and didn't let go.

"Little guy!" Ye Xi called out to the Hou beside him.

However, the small figure, no bigger than a palm, grew rapidly with the wind, and soon became about the size of a black bird.

"Roar~~~" The enlarged Hou turned around and let out a deafening roar. All the dark creatures were startled, and some of the dark creatures flying high in the sky even fell to the ground.

After roaring, the little guy returned to its original size and went back into Ye Xi's arms, looking somewhat listless.

With this shout, the little guy released all the energy in his body at once, which briefly intimidated many dark creatures.

"It's right there!" Taking advantage of the moment, the black bird sped out, and Mina pointed to a spot in the void ahead and shouted.

By the time the many dark creatures came to their senses, the fiery red Xuan Bird had flashed past them and disappeared from sight.

"Roar~~~" Many dark creatures rushed to the vicinity of the spatial rift and let out angry roars.

Unfortunately, most of them were unable to locate the spatial rift, and were unwilling to give up the surging dark energy within it. In the end, they could only collapse along with this space and be banished to the endless void.

"Phew~~~ We're finally out!" The figures of the group suddenly appeared in the darkness. Mina looked back with lingering fear. It was the first time she had been chased by so many dark creatures.

"You're back?" Below, Tudi and Ye Ling stood on the sea and shouted towards the sky.

Neither of them could fly, so after Mina returned to space, they could only drift on the sea.

Fortunately, there were no dark creatures here, otherwise they would probably have died here.

"Black Bird, hurry down and catch them!" Seeing this, Ye Xi was both amused and exasperated. He patted the Black Bird beneath him and flew towards the land and Ye Ling.

“Dark energy is still emanating from here. Don’t linger. Return to the Holy Court as soon as possible. I need to use holy light to purify the darkness within you!” Michael said to the group after receiving the two.

The violent dissipation of dark energy not only filled the space with a large amount of dark energy, but also caused a huge amount of energy to escape and permeate the planet Woolf.

"Alright!" Everyone nodded and flew out of the territory.

As the Trident of Poseidon was pulled out, the number of spatial rifts in this area decreased at a visible rate. It is believed that this sea area will soon return to calm.

At this moment, Ye Chen, who was far away outside the void storm, was about to leave after teasing Chris when the other party turned around and mocked him, wanting to make a bet with him.

The bet is on whose clan will obtain the Trident of Poseidon, and on whose clan will return alive from the Void Storm.

"Chris, I think you can't keep this high-level Five Elements Spirit Pearl anyway, so why don't you just give it to me? When the clan comes out later, I can just leave, right?" Ye Chen teased Chris beside him.

"Hmph! It's not certain who will win or lose! I will crush your clansmen in the darkness." Chris said fiercely.

Just then, several figures sprang out from the void storm. Everyone looked up and saw that they were the five void elves.

"Why did you guys come out? Did you get the treasure?" Chris stood up and asked with a look of delight.

However, several Void Elves looked up at him and said in a cold tone, "No, and your entire clan should have been corrupted by darkness!"

Chris shuddered at the Void Elf's words, his whole body swaying, his face filled with disbelief.

"Impossible! Impossible! This is impossible!" Chris roared, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at the five Void Elves before him. "How could a dozen Tier 4 dragons and hundreds of Tier 3 familiars have been corrupted by darkness like this?"

"Tell me! Was it you who deliberately led them astray and sent them all into the spatial rift! I knew it! I knew it! You low elves are not to be trusted!" Chris roared, his entire being descending into madness.

The dozen or so Tier 4 dragons were already the strongest force in his territory. The rest were just Tier 3 young dragons. These young dragons, which had not yet grown up, could not keep up with the newcomer trials, and his path to becoming a prodigy was thus ruined.

Not only him, but the other new lords who came with him were also incredulous. Hundreds of Tier 3 Familiars—this was arguably their strongest force—had simply vanished into thin air? In the Trial World, this was a heavy blow to everyone.

"Lord Chris, our lord and you have only a normal trading relationship. As for the situation in the Void Storm, you can go in and investigate for yourself if you don't believe me. We have done our best to bring as many people as possible into the core of the artifact, but there is a huge amount of dark energy emanating from there. Your dragon and other kin were quickly corrupted by the darkness."

"We escaped because we didn't have to participate in the battle and were just standing at a distance!"

"Therefore, Lord Chris, please keep your promise and lead us back to our own territory!"

The Void Elves were getting impatient, but out of the Elven people's insistence on etiquette, the Sea God politely recounted his experiences.

Unfortunately, Chris was no longer listening to these words and instead thought they were just excuses used by the Void Elves.

"My entire clan is dead, and you still want to go back? Why didn't you all die with them? Not only you, but your lord should have died in there too!" Chris roared, his crazed state causing everyone's expressions to change slightly.

"Chris, is it really your style as a lord to make things difficult for a group of clansmen? Are you just a sore loser?" Ye Chen spoke up to defuse the situation. Rescuing the Void Elves was no big deal, but he hadn't yet settled his bet with Chris! Don't even think about playing dumb or going back on your word.
