Chapter 21 One Ton of Iron Ore

"Cotton tree seeds?" The lord opposite him was taken aback.

Cotton clothing is not fashionable in this world; animal hides and armor are more commonly used. These are convenient and offer much better protection than cotton. Therefore, cotton trees are not popular among lords.

Only some low-ranking lords would use cotton clothing as a temporary measure when they couldn't obtain enough animal hides and armor, and then take it back to Earth for ordinary people to use.

"Hmm! I have a lot of humanoid familiars here, and I need a lot of cotton to make some everyday clothes!" Ye Chen pointed behind him, where many Silvermoon Elves were passing by, all of whom could only simply wrap their exquisite figures in animal skins.

"Alright, but I only have 5 cotton trees on my side right now, so I can only sell you 2 at most. How about one magic crystal per tree?" the lord on the other side thought for a moment and said.

Tree species are difficult to propagate, so their value is generally much higher than that of ordinary crops; one magic crystal per tree is considered dirt cheap.

However, we have only just entered the trial space, and no one has much spare money. The price of a magic crystal is not low.

“Alright, two magic crystals! Will you transplant them yourself, or should I send my clan over?” Ye Chen nodded and agreed immediately; two magic crystals were nothing to him.

"Hmm, you're an elf, aren't you? Send someone over here! This kobold is really having a hard time handling this!" The lord on the other side looked at the moon elves and said helplessly.

Kobolds, like goblins and gnomes, belong to the lowest level of intelligent races, and are indeed not as good at things like farming as elves.

Ye Chen nodded, and without saying much, he called Eve over to go transplant cotton trees on the other party's island.

Meanwhile, the lord opposite was curiously observing Ye Chen's territory. However, Ye Chen had already planted cloud mist flowers, and the territory was filled with white mist, so nothing could be seen clearly. It was only after the jade rabbit ran out that the other party was able to see it.

"Hey! Brother, your territory is pretty big! Is there anything I can use?" While transplanting cotton trees, the other party asked Ye Chen.

"I have quite a lot of things here, but I don't know what you need!" Ye Chen replied with a smile.

"Is there any staple food? You know, kobolds aren't very big, but they eat a lot, which is giving me a headache!"

"As for the main course, um... I do have a batch of dire wolf carcasses that I can sell to you..." Ye Chen said, but then suddenly fell silent, clearly waiting for the other party to make an offer.

"How about exchanging ten kilograms of iron ore for a corpse?" The other party's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing about the corpse of a dire wolf.

Dire wolves are at least Tier 1 in strength. High-level creatures contain a lot of energy, which can accelerate the growth of Tier 0 kobolds.

"You have iron ore?" Ye Chen was also taken aback. He didn't expect that there would be something like iron ore in the other party's desolate territory.

"Hehe! Kobolds are good at mining and digging, aren't they? We found a meteorite containing iron ore and mined some of it!"

Hearing this, Ye Chen understood. Although the kobolds were not strong, they were an extremely skilled race in mining and prospecting. Therefore, it was not surprising that they were able to find meteorites containing iron ore.

Ye Chen simply refused to believe that the other party had only mined a small amount; he assumed that all the iron ore in that meteorite must have been mined out.

Meteorites capable of containing iron ore have reserves of no less than one ton, or one thousand kilograms.

"So? Interested?" While he was thinking, the other person looked at Ye Chen and asked with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Ye Chen smiled.

"Iron ore is a strategic resource, who wouldn't be interested? But exchanging ten kilograms of iron ore for a dire wolf carcass is a bit too cheap!"

"Ten kilograms is cheap? Brother, you're going a bit too far!" The other party frowned slightly, clearly feeling that Ye Chen was asking for an exorbitant price. He even retreated slightly to avoid Ye Chen suddenly launching an attack.

"Ten kilograms of iron ore for a Tier 2 Dire Wolf corpse? Am I being unreasonable or are you being unreasonable?" Ye Chen shouted, feigning anger, and the lord opposite him was stunned.

"Wait! Tier 2? Not Tier 1?"

A Tier 2 Dire Wolf is not worth a Tier 1 Dire Wolf at all. Exchanging ten kilograms of iron ore for the corpse of a Tier 2 Dire Wolf is definitely going too far.

"Of course, what can you trade a Tier 1 corpse for? How many can you even keep in the whole territory?" Ye Chen said matter-of-factly, completely ignoring the surprise in the other person's eyes.

"Two hundred kilograms! I'll trade two hundred kilograms for a Tier 2 Dire Wolf, however many you have, I'll trade them all!" the other party said immediately, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

Tier 1 dire wolf corpses can only accelerate the growth of Tier 0 kobolds, but Tier 2 dire wolf corpses are useful to advanced kobolds, and their value is incomparable.

"Then you'll have a bit of a challenge, after all, I have quite a few dire wolf corpses here!" Ye Chen smiled and had several corpses carried out.

"As expected, they are Tier 2 Dire Wolves, but the number of them! Hiss~~~" The opponent gasped.

The Moon Goddesses were all hidden in the clouds and did not show themselves, so in the eyes of the enemy, Ye Chen's familia was only a Tier 1 elf. However, it was quite terrifying that so many elves could kill so many Tier 2 dire wolves.

Of course, this is also related to the fact that the lord cannot see the information of other people's clans. Otherwise, even if it is just the Silverleaf Moon Elf clan, more than half of them have already advanced to the second tier.
