Chapter 379 The Power of Different Bloodlines

Harold's lips twitched slightly. Under the gazes of everyone around him, he forced himself to sit down opposite the bow.

He took a deep breath to regain his composure, stared intently at his opponent, and placed his hand on hers. Just by holding her hand, he could feel the intense heat and powerful energy emanating from her.

"Good lad, you've got guts! For that, I'll give you a three-count advantage later!" Gong laughed loudly. Another member of the witch clan had come to act as their referee.

"I'm counting down, three, two, one! Go!" Harold's face turned red almost as soon as he finished speaking.

Don't misunderstand, the bow hasn't exerted its full strength yet. It's just holding steady and hasn't won yet. It's letting Harold exert his strength. The witches are true to their word. If they say they'll give you three numbers, they definitely won't give you less.

Harold had used every ounce of his strength, but found that there was absolutely no response.

"I'm here!" Bow finished counting the three in his mind, then grinned at Harold. Harold immediately felt a tremendous force in his hand, and his arm slowly and firmly bent towards him. Bow was clearly still in control.

"Awoo~~~" A wolf howl rang out, and almost instantly, Harold transformed into the body of a giant wolf, its sharp claws outstretched. Fortunately, it did not attack the bow, but continued to wrestle with its opponent. Harold was now barely able to control its werewolf bloodline.

"A mixed wolf cub bloodline!" Bow sniffed and said with a look of disgust. Then, without any more politeness, he used force to bend Harold's arm and win the battle.

"Hoo!!!" A chorus of boos erupted in the arena. No one had expected Harold to lose so quickly; he was utterly powerless to fight back.

"Hoo~~~" The werewolf's transformation effect gradually returned. Harold's face was flushed and he kept panting. Recalling the vast power he had just felt in his hand, he was truly powerless to resist even the transformation. But the opponent only seemed to be at the third level of strength!

Zhu Rong didn't bring any powerful warriors with him. These cooks were mostly young people from the tribe with weaker constitutions. They were brought out to broaden their horizons and learn cultural knowledge at the Elf Royal Academy. Compared to physical strength, this was a weak point for the Wu tribe. Therefore, these Wu tribe members were not very strong and were no match for the powerful warriors in the tribe.

"Although I don't quite understand either, your bloodline is too mixed. How can a perfectly normal person have wolf blood? Don't end up looking like a dog or a human!" Seeing that the other person was gradually returning to normal, Gong sniffled and advised, then got up and followed his companion back into the shop window to continue serving food to the other newlyweds.

Harold stood there stunned for a moment, then watched the other person's departing figure before silently returning to his own group.

"Are you alright?" Sarah asked, looking at the other person with concern.

"It's nothing!" Harold shook his head, buried his head in his rice, and didn't say anything more.

“If you’re upset, just say so. We can’t beat him up for you, but at least we can listen to what’s going on. What’s with this dejected look on your face?” Catherine said with displeasure.

"Yeah! Brother Harold, are you really alright?"

"Hey! Losing is losing, it's normal. I often lose arm wrestling too!"

Two boys, one older and one younger, nearby also offered words of comfort, worried that Harold might suffer some psychological trauma from this.

"I'm really fine, but I'm a little confused by what he said at the end. It seemed like he was very, very, very disdainful of my werewolf bloodline?" Harold picked at the rice in his bowl, looked up at everyone, and said with a puzzled expression. Sitting directly opposite the other person, he could have clearly felt the disdain that the other person was conveying.

"This? Werewolf blood! You're rejecting this too?" Sarah said in disbelief. In another world, special racial bloodlines often meant power.

"What's wrong with werewolves? I still think our Ani bloodline is the best!" As a princess, Catherine immediately praised the Ani.

“But I still think the fox-human bloodline is pretty good!” the short boy next to me argued.

"Alright, alright! It's not what you think. It's just, how should I put it? It's a very strange feeling. He probably has a kind of bloodline he particularly admires, right? Maybe he doesn't think much of bloodlines other than this one!" Harold waved his hand and explained, but this kind of thing was not his forte.

“Alright! This group of witches has their own revered bloodline and looks down on the bloodlines of other races!” Sarah laughed at him, then waved her hand. “But their own bloodline looks quite similar to that of humans!”

"Humans? That race, even weaker than the Aini?" the big guy next to him said. He was a member of the Ruga tribe and one of the few young men in the tribe, which is why he was sent to Hope Academy. Ye Chen had given this near-extinct race some preferential treatment and privileges.

At the same time, humans do have a bad reputation in the Aini Empire. For example, their physical strength is much weaker than that of the Aini, their talents are not as strong, and there are quite a few who are cunning, deceitful and swindling. The only thing worth praising is their terrifying reproductive ability and adaptability.

Their ability to survive and reproduce rapidly in any environment has allowed this human village, which had only a few hundred people when it first arrived on the primordial planet, to have a population of over a thousand.

"It doesn't seem like it, although they look similar!" Harold shrugged. Many races look similar to humans, and given humans' adaptability, it's difficult to determine whether someone is human based on their appearance.

"Okay! I hope not. I've been ripped off by human merchants before, so I don't have a good impression of them! Of course, the boss is an exception. I remember he said he was human, right?" Sarah shrugged and said with a helpless expression.

“Yes, the boss is human, and you’d better watch your words in the future. The lords of the prehistoric world are said to be human as well!” Catherine reminded Sarah, immediately silencing her. After all, it was a bit inappropriate to mock someone’s race while making a living on their territory.

For a moment, everyone felt somewhat disheartened. After a quick meal, they returned to the playground in groups, waiting for the afternoon's military training to begin.

In the morning, they only took attendance and lined up; there was no real training. Therefore, Harold and the others still didn't know the content or purpose of the military training. But since they were here, they had to abide by the rules. Nobody wanted to be the one kicked out of the Elf Royal Academy!
