Chapter 645 The Surviving Angel

The fat man's words startled the two men, and they both looked towards the monitor. They saw a small group of lords' families being swallowed up by the magnetic field. The group that was originally retreating suddenly stopped, and then began to change direction one by one, flying towards the ghost ship.

"Calculate the ghost ship's trajectory and evacuate all lords' families that might be entering the magnetic field range!" Ye Chen shouted urgently. Although he didn't know what the outcome would be if they got too close, it certainly wouldn't be anything good.

"Okay!" Little Radish Spirit replied and quickly went to make the arrangements.

With Ye Xi leading the army on expedition, the internal affairs of the territory are now mostly on the shoulders of Little Radish Spirit and Ye Zhen, and it's unknown whether those short radish legs will break from running.

However, the little radish spirit's earth-遁 (earth-遁 is a type of magic that allows one to escape from the earth) technique is very well practiced and extremely fast, so there's no need to worry about it for the time being.

"No! Look, some of the familiars are still able to fly out! Those are, angels?" Jian Mengyi suddenly pointed to another direction and said, "In the distant starry sky, several angels are flapping their wings and fleeing into the distance."

"Let's send a drone over and see what's going on inside," Ye Chen asked. With a major battle imminent, it's impossible that only a few angels were acting alone. Even a small team would consist of at least a hundred people. So, it's likely that only a few of them survived.

Without Ye Chen saying anything, Fatty had already directed the drone to fly over there. As they got closer, Ye Chen and the others realized that these angels had indeed escaped, and they looked extremely disheveled. One of them even had a wing broken off and could only rely on the help of his companions.

"This is a drone from the Primordial Star. Lord Ye Chen is currently communicating with you. What did you encounter inside?" The drone's electronic voice sounded, and upon hearing that it was a drone from the Primordial Star, the angels breathed a sigh of relief.

Having escaped from the ghost ship, they were suddenly confronted with a large number of drones approaching. Initially, they assumed it was a follow-up attack by the ghost ship, but upon learning that they were friendly forces, they felt a sense of relief, as if they had survived a catastrophe.

"Greetings, Your Majesty! We are angels from the planet Dillon. My name is Lambert, and I am the captain of this angel squad. We encountered a terrifying ghost ship and were all wiped out!" The leading archangel said, his face showing grief as he thought of his fallen comrades.

"Hello, this is Ye Chen. We already know about your ordeal and have even witnessed it, but currently all our communication devices are unable to access it. I need to understand the specific situation inside before I can take appropriate measures. Angel! I need your help!" Ye Chen's voice rang out, both a command and a request.

"Angel Lambert is happy to serve!" Upon receiving a lord's request, the angels immediately adopted a serious expression and began to recount their experiences inside.

"We originally came to wipe out a group of dark creatures, and after we finished and were preparing to return, we suddenly heard the whispers of demons in our ears!"

"No! This sound is incredibly alluring; even angels would find it hard to resist its power. It's more terrifying than the devil!"

“But angels are powerful and have enough will to resist such temptation. So apart from a few of their kind who were attracted and flew toward the sound, the others were on high alert and did not act rashly.”

"But we cannot stand by and watch our companions leave, so after discussion we decided to chase after them and eliminate these demons. Fighting against evil is the lifelong wish of us angels."

"And then? Time is of the essence, angels! Get to the point!" Ye Chen's voice rang out again. He didn't have time to listen to these angels praising how great and righteous they were. Not to mention him, even Jian Mengyi next to him was embarrassed to the point of having a four-bedroom apartment.

"And then? Then we saw the ghost ship. It was absolutely the most evil devil, the most terrifying darkness! Without a strong and firm will and faith, one would definitely succumb to the whispers of such a demon!" Lambert said with lingering fear.

"We saw it was just a dilapidated ship, but we thought we'd board it and see if there were any hidden demons or darkness inside!"

"But as we went up there, we felt a sudden dizziness, as if we were about to sink into it forever. Then we saw the door connecting the deck to the cabin open, and several angels who looked just like us came out!"

"But they didn't possess a trace of light; instead, they were filled with endless darkness and depravity!"

"But their power is indeed exceptionally strong, and they seem to be naturally able to suppress light. Even among those of the same level, we are no match for them, and many of our people have perished before our very eyes!"

"What's even more terrifying is that those fallen comrades, under the influence of the dark forces, rose again and swung their swords at us. Their souls, along with their deaths, fell into the darkness!"

"..."

After Lambert finished speaking, both he and his companions were filled with fear, clearly indicating that what they had seen and heard inside was far more terrifying than he had described.

Ye Chen frowned slightly. The other party's words were not very detailed, but he could roughly guess what they contained, though there were still many omissions.

"What happened to those angels who heard the sound and went in on their own?" Ye Chen asked.

“Once they entered the cabin, we don’t know anything else. We couldn’t get in, and we never saw them come out!” Lambert said, shaking his head, his face full of grief.

"What were those whispers you heard? What did he say?"

"I don't know, it's the devil's whisper, inaudible, but it will guide us toward the ghost ship!" Lambert covered his head, seemingly still suffering from some aftereffects.

Seeing this, Ye Chen didn't ask any more questions and turned to look at the fat man.

"Have the drone bring them over here. I'll inform their lord; they need some rest. Then let's see if we can get any more useful information." After Ye Chen finished speaking, he summoned the Radish Spirit again and asked him to investigate who the lord of Dilong Star was and get his contact information.

Ye Chen then fell into deep thought. These angels had provided a lot of useful information, and he had already learned quite a bit about the strangeness of the ghost ship. The next step was to figure out how to gain a deeper understanding of it.
