Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Liang Xun turned around and stared at Lin Shengwen for a long time, until the red light turned green. Lin Shengwen, who was standing still, was urged to cross the intersection by the horn of the car behind him.

The silence lasted for a long time.

Liang Xun was in a state of confusion, still trying to organize his words, while Lin Shengwen was waiting for Liang Xun's answer.

Lin Shengwen didn't expect that he would have to wait all the way - he parked the car in front of the private restaurant that Xu Yiming found, and was about to get out of the car, but suddenly heard Liang Xun say something in a very low voice.

In fact, Lin Shengwen didn't hear clearly at that moment, but his brain reintegrated the information it had absorbed and guessed what the syllables Liang Xun had just said meant.

He said, "Yes."

Lin Shengwen smiled, got out of the car, walked around to the passenger seat, opened the door for Liang Xun, and extended his hand to Liang Xun.

Liang Xun was a little confused. He tilted his head slightly to look at him and asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"

"Aren't we going to hold hands?" Lin Shengwen said as a matter of course.

"Aren't you referring to what happened just now..."

"But you agreed," Lin Shengwen said, "so it's not too much to hold hands now, right?"

Liang Xun was completely confused. He stared at Lin Shengwen, but he couldn't tell anything from the expression on his face. He didn't know whether Lin Shengwen wanted to tease him or wanted him to cover up the incident of Chen Guangquan pulling him with new memories.

I thought about it over and over again, but couldn't figure anything out.

Liang Xun reached out his hand with some hesitation. Lin Shengwen leaned forward a little, held his hand, and led him out of the car.

"Let's go, we are a little late, Pei Ning will talk again later." Lin Shengwen said.

"Um."

Liang Xun heard his own heartbeat vibrating in his chest, like the drum beats of a heavy metal band. The blood vessels in his body were all in ecstasy in response to this rapid rhythm.

He didn't even know how he got to the door of the restaurant box.

The private restaurant Xu Yiming found only had three extremely private rooms and only accommodated three tables of guests a day.

Although Liang Xun had never been to such a place before, he had eaten a lot of delicious meals there, so he didn't look around like a child who had never seen the world.

Lin Shengwen reached out to push the door open, but his other hand was still holding his. Liang Xun was startled and pulled his hand back. He subconsciously felt that there was something wrong with making such an ambiguous gesture in front of Pei Ning and Lin Shengwen's friends.

At best, it's just a temporary marriage as a smokescreen, so as to avoid one more person's misunderstanding.

Lin Shengwen glanced back at him, and seeing that Liang Xun didn't react, he put his hands in his trouser pockets.

Liang Xun rarely saw him with one hand in his pocket, which was a bit novel. The next second, Lin Shengwen pushed the door open.

"You're here so late. Where have you been?" Pei Ning shouted as soon as he saw Lin Shengwen and Liang Xun.

Lin Shengwen was helpless: "Couldn't it be a traffic jam?"

Instead, Xu Yiming, who had already sat down, raised his hand and motioned for them to sit down: "Pei Ning and I just ordered a few dishes, and they're all here. Sheng Wen, do you want to order anything else?"

Lin Shengwen pulled out a chair at the round table for Liang Xun, watched him sit down, and then sat down himself.

Lin Shengwen glanced at Liang Xun and asked him in a low voice if he had any ideas.

Liang Xun quickly waved his hand: "There are already so many dishes, let's not add more."

Xu Yiming raised one eyebrow, and his eyes were like a flying knife thrown at Lin Shengwen, as if he was doubting Lin Shengwen with his eyes.

Lin Shengwen also looked back at Xu Yiming, openly and honestly, without any concealment.

Pei Ning, who was sitting next to Xu Yiming, didn't notice that the two of them had been secretly talking for hundreds of rounds after their eyes met. He just moved closer to Liang Xun with some curiosity and asked in Liang Xun's ear: "Why did you come with Lin Shengwen?"

Liang Xun's fingers stopped at the edge of the plate in front of him, and he rubbed it repeatedly along the curve, not knowing whether to tell the truth or a lie.

Before he could answer, Lin Shengwen seemed to have guessed what question Pei Ning would ask Liang Xun and answered for him: "I went to pick him up. What's the problem?"

Pei Ning's eyes rolled, and he retreated back to his seat. He leaned over and whispered in Xu Yiming's ear: "There's definitely something wrong with them. I've never seen Lin Shengwen pick anyone up, and I've never even ridden in Lin Shengwen's car."

"Don't mind your own business," Xu Yiming patted him, "Sit down."

"Oh." Pei Ning curled his lips in displeasure.

Xu Yiming asked Lin Shengwen: "Tomorrow we will be working or we will take a break. Do you want to have some drinks?"

"No..." Pei Ning muttered, "If you want to drink, can't we go to that bar? What's the point of drinking here?"

"Just speak up when I ask you." Xu Yiming was speechless and felt a headache.

"Tomorrow is a day off. If you want to drink, you can open it." Lin Shengwen paused, "Did you store some wine here?"

"Hmm," Xu Yiming thought for a moment, "never mind, let's eat first."

Lin Shengwen ate quietly, not saying much. Liang Xun, feeling uneasy about the four of them eating without a single word, took the initiative to start some conversations, primarily with Xu Yiming and Pei Ning. He had never met Xu Yiming before, and had no idea what kind of person he was.

After meeting, he had indeed learned a lot more. Lin Shengwen's aristocratic aura was still very evident in college, but he seemed to have consciously toned it down later, adapting to local customs and appearing less picky. And Xu Yiming was very similar to the Lin Shengwen Liang Xun had first met during his sophomore year, with that slightly cold and arrogant look in his eyes, unrestrained.

Even though he and Pei Ning ordered the dishes together, he didn't eat much. After a few chopsticks of food, he put down his chopsticks and called the waiter. The waiter in the private kitchen was a qualified sommelier. He selected a wine from Xu Yiming's stock and poured a glass for Xu Yiming. Pei Ning shouted that he wanted one too, but Xu Yiming ignored his request. Pei Ning didn't give Xu Yiming face and directly took a sip from his glass. The wine was not to Pei Ning's taste. He stuck out his tongue and put the glass back.

"It's his due." Xu Yiming found it funny and scolded Pei Ning in a nasal tone, with a hint of gloating.

During this process, Liang Xun looked at him a few more times. Xu Yiming noticed his gaze and looked back at him sharply.

Xu Yiming asked Liang Xun with a hint of amusement in his tone, "Did Sheng Wen give you any trouble? I heard he asked you to help him buy a house?"

Lin Shengwen raised his eyes and glanced at Xu Yiming.

Xu Yiming pretended not to notice and continued, "He's quite difficult to deal with."

"No, Lin Shengwen is quite...quite easygoing." Liang Xun thought for a moment and said sincerely, "The house was booked very quickly and very efficiently."

Xu Yiming raised his eyebrows again, as if he couldn't believe it: Could it be that Lin Shengwen had changed? He didn't believe it. He glanced at Lin Shengwen again and found something.

Before Xu Yiming could open his mouth, Lin Shengwen ruthlessly interrupted him.

"I'm married to Liang Xun."

Pei Ning slammed the table and jumped up: "Huh???"

"Well, you Lin Shengwen, I introduced Liang Xun to you, and you just got married to our Liang Xun immediately. Why are you pretending to be silent? I really am..." Pei Ning scolded him in a breath, speaking at a rapid speed, "You're making me so angry that I'm dying!"

Xu Yiming curled up the corners of his lips and smiled, asking Pei Ning to calm down.

Liang Xun was as surprised as Pei Ning. He hurriedly tugged at Lin Shengwen's sleeve, wanting him to explain that this was just a helpless move to deal with the vice president of their hospital. Lin Shengwen reached out and pressed on his fingers, then pinched the tip of Liang Xun's index finger.

"So this meal will be treated to you two." Lin Shengwen said.

Pei Ning was furious, but soon calmed down. He glanced at Liang Xun, trying to analyze the whole process from Liang Xun's behavior. Liang Xun smiled at Pei Ning silently. Pei Ning's eyes rolled around, and then he realized that his gaze fell on the hands of Lin Shengwen and Pei Ning clasped together.

"Okay, then you can let Xu Yiming treat you," Pei Ning turned to look at Xu Yiming, "Is that okay?"

"Do you even need to ask?" Xu Yiming thought he was just talking nonsense.

Pei Ning: "Well, we must have a drink today. Liang Xun, Xu Yiming opened a bar on Jinlu Road a while ago. It's very popular. Have you been there? Let's go there for a drink. Let me celebrate for you!"

"He can't drink." Lin Shengwen said.

Liang Xun thought for a moment, then agreed: "Okay, if it's alcohol-free." He could see Pei Ning wanted to go. Although his flash marriage to Lin Shengwen was a real accident, he also had to thank Pei Ning for giving him the opportunity to get close to Lin Shengwen.

He always felt that even if he waited until Lin Shengwen dealt with his boss's suspicions and the dust settled, and they divorced, the time he had spent with Lin Shengwen would still be a priceless treasure to Liang Xun. He wouldn't mind spending the rest of his life reminiscing about it.

Liang Xun looked at Lin Shengwen. Lin Shengwen had already lowered his head to drink the soup in the bowl and didn't notice that Liang Xun was looking at him.

The question is...how did Lin Shengwen know that he couldn't drink?

Liang Xun recalled carefully and realized that he should not have mentioned to Lin Shengwen that he could not drink. Although Lin Shengwen and he had never drunk alcohol at home, this alone was enough to tell that Liang Xun could not hold his liquor. Unless Lin Shengwen could read minds, it was impossible to explain it.

"Okay, okay."

Pei Ning cheered, then accused Xu Yiming, "You've been drinking, how are you going to drive there later?"

Xu Yiming glanced at him: "You can't drive?"

"How dare I drive your car?" Pei Ning pursed his lips.

"It's not like you haven't opened it secretly before." Xu Yiming smiled.

Pei Ning stopped talking and turned his head away.

After the meal, Lin Shengwen and Pei Ning went to get the car, leaving Xu Yiming and Liang Xun waiting at the door of the private restaurant.

The air outside was warm and humid, a characteristic early summer weather found only in coastal cities.

Liang Xun was alone with Xu Yiming, and didn't know what to say to him, so he had to look down at the tip of his shoes.

Xu Yiming lit a cigarette and took two puffs. Liang Xun glanced at his cigarette case and noticed it was a packaging he had never seen before. The cigarette was thin, with an intricate pattern on the end, which looked quite attractive at first glance.

He saw Liang Xun staring at his cigarette box: "Want one?"

Liang Xun raised his eyes: "Is it okay?"

Xu Yiming didn't say much, just took out a cigarette from the box and handed it to Liang Xun.

Liang Xun took it and just lit it when Xu Yiming suddenly spoke again.

"Although Lin Shengwen originally likes men...but what about you, Liang Xun, are you the same?"
