Mu Run looked up from a large bookcase. "Looking for a letter."
Fu Yunchen walked over and pulled her out of the book box. "What letter?"
Mu Run straightened his slightly disheveled clothes and replied, "Your letter to Prince Zhou. Wu Ying came looking for me today, and I did as you said, so he asked me to find the letter."
Fu Yunchen laughed and said, "So you're rummaging through the book box?"
“Yes, you wouldn’t make something up out of thin air, so check if it’s hidden in the book’s pages.” Mu Run’s words were reasonable and well-founded.
Fu Yunchen was even more amused. "Alright, then keep looking. Maybe you'll actually find something."
Mu Run looked at the books she had scattered everywhere. "I haven't found any yet. But you seem to love reading; every single one of these books has been flipped through and marked."
Fu Yunchen replied, "There are houses of gold and beauties in books."
Mu Run continued, "There are abundant grains in books, and carriages and horses are as numerous as clusters in books."
"Hehe, you like reading too?"
"No, I don't like reading, I like making tea." As soon as she said that, she quickly covered her mouth.
Fu Yunchen seemed oblivious to her slip of the tongue, and instead moved a stack of official documents from the desk in front of him.
"Why don't you look through these? Maybe what you're looking for is in there."
“How could we leave it out in the open? That would be too dangerous… No, the most dangerous place is the safest.” Mu Run immediately pounced on it.
Fu Yunchen leaned back in his armchair, idly watching her flip through official documents.
After she finished reading and looked dejected, he took out a letter sealed with sealing wax from the drawer. The letter had already been opened.
"Here, this is what you wanted."
"A letter from Prince Zhou?"
"He really did correspond with you." When Mu Run saw the letter, she was a little unsure of what to do.
Fu Yunchen said, "Of course. Even within the Imperial Certification Department, there are quite a few people affiliated with Prince Zhou."
Mu Run then took the letter. "May I take a look first?"
Fu Yunchen raised his hand, "Please do as you wish."
Mu Run opened the envelope, and a rich, perfumed scent wafted out...
"Oh my god~ what's that smell?" Mu Run was directly overwhelmed by the aroma and quickly threw the letter aside. "Poison gas?"
"No," Fu Yunchen said, "It's a kind of rouge and face powder sold in the market, called Mu Jun."
"Mu Jun?" Mu Run understood, and immediately looked disgusted. "I heard from Xiao Xing that Prince Zhou doesn't discriminate between men and women, and likes any beautiful woman."
Fu Yunchen glanced at her. "Who is Xiao Xing?"
"Xiao Xing is a maid in the Grand Commandant's mansion, mainly working in the library and garden. She's a know-it-all, she knows everything. From royal secrets to how many puppies the old yellow dog next door had, she knows it all."
"How many puppies did the old yellow dog have?" Fu Yunchen asked.
"Huh?" Mu Run was taken aback, not expecting him to be curious about this. "They said there are eight, four males and four females, some with patterns and some with solid colors."
"Ask her if we can get a few."
"What? You're going to get a dog?"
"There's a place where it would be nice to keep a few dogs."
"Where?"
"I'll take you there later."
"Oh, then I'll have Xiaoxing go ask." Mu Run picked up the letter that Prince Zhou had written to Fu Yunchen again... Before she could finish reading it, she ran out and vomited.
Fu Yunchen couldn't help but curl his thin lips upward. He had originally intended to burn the letter, but he hadn't expected it to be of some use.
"Him! Him! He wrote you this kind of lewd and disgusting stuff, why are you still keeping it?" Mu Run came back angrily.
