Chapter 22 Little Wild Cat

Qiao Dongzi hurriedly said, "No, no, my sister-in-law hasn't come down the mountain. She's still on the mountain, but we just can't find her."

"I understand. You go pick up Lao Liu first."

"Yes, boss."

Qiao Dongzi immediately selected twenty young and strong members of Bianyun Village and sent them down the mountain.

...

itch!

Mu Run, who was in a coma, was awakened by a tingling, itchy pain all over her body! It felt as if millions of ants were gnawing at all her sensory nerves, and she wished she could bite her tongue and commit suicide to be free from the pain.

He scratched the itchy spot with his hand and looked around.

Although the light was dim, the jagged cave walls were faintly visible, and there was fresh air, so there must be a ventilation opening.

So, she's fallen into a hole in the ground?

A squirrel-like squeak rang out again.

She was drawn there by this voice, which led to this undeserved disaster.

Following the creaking sound, she arrived at the depths of the cave, where she could faintly hear water flowing. Having gone a day and a night without food or water, she suddenly felt unbearably thirsty.

First, we found the water source, a thin stream flowing from a crevice in the rock wall.

Mu Run licked his dry, chapped lips, then immediately leaned over to the water and took a sip. It was unexpectedly sweet. "If you use this water to brew tea, it will definitely be top-notch."

Mu Run took two more sips, then walked towards the direction of the water flow and found that the water had gathered into a puddle the size of a millstone.

I probed the bottom of the pit, and it was about a foot deep.

She washed her face with the water from the puddle.

Almost immediately, the itching on my face lessened considerably.

Could it be that she picked up something dirty on the mountain when she fell, which is why she was itchy? Thinking of this, Mu Run looked around again, and the squeaking stopped at that moment.

Forget it, I'll stop looking for it for now. I'll take a shower first and wash off the dirt.

I took off my clothes, threw them aside, and then eagerly went into the puddle to wash all the itchy spots on my body.

The more you wash, the more comfortable and relaxed you feel, and you don't feel the water is cold at all.

After showering, she washed the clothes she had taken off, preferring to wear clean, damp clothes rather than dirty ones. Besides, who knew if wearing them would cause unbearable itching?

Compared to that feeling, wet clothes are nothing.

The 'squeak~' sound rang out again.

Despite being soaked in the water, Mu Run felt completely relaxed and accurately pinpointed the direction of the scream: a small hole recessed in the stone wall.

She tiptoed over, slowly crouched down, and saw a tiny white ball, no bigger than her fist, curled up inside the small hole. The sound was coming from it, and it was getting softer and softer, like a thread about to snap...

Mu Run hesitated for a moment, wondering if these wild creatures might bite. What if they carried rabies or other infectious diseases? Wouldn't she be in a real predicament? There were no antibiotics around here…

However, no matter how rational she was warned not to act rashly, her emotional little hand had already reached out to Bai Tuantuan first.

The little thing did not resist and let Mu Run take it out.

"A little wildcat?" Mu Run looked at the white ball in her hand in surprise; it looked exactly like a kitten.

"Move the stone away."

A deep, irresistible voice came from above.

Mu Run's heart skipped a beat!

It's Fu Yunchen!

She'd had nightmares about that guy's voice.

But hearing this voice now, I felt a strange sense of peace...

He picked up a piece of gravel from the ground, struck the cave wall forcefully, and shouted, "I'm here—"

Fu Yunchen had exceptional hearing; he heard Mu Run's knocking and shouting. His eyes narrowed, and he said to Steward Yang, who was holding a shovel and preparing to dig up the stones, "Get up."

Manager Yang did not hear Mu Run's voice and said, "Chief, we can dig it up. You've had a long journey, so please rest for a while."

Fu Yunchen waved his hand, signaling him to leave.

Manager Yang could only lead his men away.

Fu Yunchen walked to the boulder, looked at the moss marks on the stone that had been crushed, and several obvious scratch marks left by fingers, and placed his hands on the stone.

Manager Yang stared in astonishment at Fu Yunchen's actions. Was the chieftain going to move it? How could that be!

This stone must weigh at least a thousand pounds!

However, to everyone's astonishment, Fu Yunchen moved the stone and placed it steadily in a depression to prevent it from rolling down the mountain.

Manager Yang exclaimed sincerely, "The chieftain possesses divine power!"

"The chieftain's divine power!"

"The chieftain's divine power!"

...Everyone shouted in unison.

Trapped inside the cave, Mu Run, hearing the shouts above, roughly guessed what had happened and couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement, "No way, he could move such a big rock?"

Even after the stones were moved, the collapsed soil still blocked the entrance to the cave.

Fu Yunchen asked in a deep voice, "How are you?"

Mu Run replied, "Fortunately, this is a cave with a mound of earth."

Upon hearing Mu Run's voice, Manager Yang immediately led his men to begin digging.

Judging from her voice, Fu Yunchen believed that she was not in any immediate danger, so he allowed Steward Yang to lead the people to dig.

He looked around and asked Mu Run, "The leaves you picked?"

When Mu Run heard him talk about leaves, he suddenly remembered his tea leaves and hurriedly said, "Don't ruin them, those are my tea leaves."

"Tea leaves?"

Fresh tea leaves are the raw material for making tea.

"Oh, you can make tea?" Fu Yunchen was somewhat surprised.

When it came to her specialty, Mu Run's voice was filled with unparalleled confidence: "The tea I make is absolutely the best you've ever tasted."

"Hehe." Fu Yunchen chuckled and said to Steward Yang, "Hurry up."

"Yes, yes," Manager Yang replied immediately.

Mu Run looked down at the 'little white cat' in her arms and whispered, "You attracted me here, but I don't know how I can help you. You don't seem to be injured. Are you hungry? It's a pity I didn't bring any food with me. Have some water first."

Mu Run carried it to the water's edge and encouraged it to drink first.

The little thing was really thirsty; it kept slurping and drinking with its little tongue...

Mu Run was worried that it would drink too much and get an upset stomach, so she picked it up, but the little thing struggled to drink.

"Okay, don't blame me if it gets an upset stomach." Mu Run put it back by the water and let it drink on its own, thinking it would stop when it was full.

Looking up at the cave ceiling again, I could now clearly hear the sound of them digging.

When Mu Run wasn't paying attention, the little white cat suddenly sped up its drinking, almost stopping the slow-flowing undercurrent.

What's even stranger is that it managed to hold so much water, even though it's only the size of a fist...

The entrance to the cave was dug open, and a bright white light shone into the dark cave.

Mu Run could finally see her surroundings clearly: it was a cave with jagged, milky-white rocks on the walls that shimmered in the sunlight like gemstones.
