Chapter 250 Why not become emperor?

"Huanhuan was indeed on that ship. The ship owner rescued Huanhuan, and the two men who kidnapped Huanhuan, the Zhongjin Emperor Chengsi Anya, are also dead."

"It's those bastards again. Let's see if the boss doesn't wipe them out this time."

"Again?"

"The boss had already wiped it out once before. Otherwise, why would the Central Jin Dynasty harbor such resentment towards the boss? The Northern Jin Dynasty, on the other hand, kept to itself and never paid any attention to the boss."

Why did the Northern Jin Dynasty treat Chongyang Prefecture in this way?

"The throne of the Northern Jin Dynasty originally belonged to the eldest son, but the eldest son ceded it to the current Emperor Guangwu."

"Huh?" Mu Run exclaimed in surprise, "Why not become emperor?"

Hongmi thought for a moment, "Brother Qiao said it seems to be because of a woman."

"Because of a woman? Who is she?"

"Brother Qiao didn't say anything, and judging from his tone, it's best not to mention it to anyone. Oh dear, we need to send someone to tell the boss right away that Huanhuan has been found, so he won't worry anymore." Hongmi hurriedly went to the inn.

Suddenly, a cool autumn breeze swept across the river, penetrating Mu Run's slightly thin clothes.

Mu Run shivered, then looked at the busy boatmen and the dock full of boats, and walked towards the inn. "Hongmi, let all these boats leave."

...

With the Heart-Eating Gu gone from the group, the heavy weight on Mu Run's heart was lifted.

However, the unexpected discovery that they were indeed Fu Yunchen's children left her somewhat at a loss.

Fortunately, Fu Yunchen is not on the mountain right now, otherwise she really wouldn't know how to face him.

As night fell, Mu Run bathed the two children, changed them into their pajamas, and went to bed.

Recalling the events of that day and the dramatic changes in her mindset, she almost dared not think about it, but it was finally over, and the fatal hidden danger within the group had been eliminated, which was truly a stroke of good fortune amidst misfortune.

"Tuantuan and Huanhuan, are you really willing to go and learn from Uncle Long?" She hadn't known for sure; the two children might have agreed out of necessity to achieve their goal. But she needed to find out their true thoughts.

“Yes, he has lots of fun things,” Huanhuan replied.

Mu Run: "You don't mean those snakes, insects, or moths, do you?"

Huanhuan: "Not only that, Uncle said he has lots and lots of fun things."

Mu Run: "..." No wonder he likes this girl. In some ways, they are both rather strange and different from others.

"What about you, Tuantuan?" Mu Run asked Tuantuan again.

Tuantuan looked at Huanhuan and said, "I'm with my sister."

Mu Run patted his head; it was round, and his hair was fine and soft, very pleasant to touch. "Okay. But since you've both chosen to learn from Uncle Long, you can't be afraid of hard work, and it's best not to make him angry. That guy seems to care about nothing, all laid-back and lazy, but the more someone seems like that, the harder they are to mess with."

Huanhuan nodded, "I understand, Mom."

The next morning, Mu Run did not send the two children to school.

After the kidnapping incident, how brave must she be to send her child back?

Yan Zhengkun personally went up the mountain to apologize to Mu Run.

Mu Run didn't blame him; such accidents are unpredictable. However, she still reminded Yan Zhengkun to strengthen security measures within the academy. Things like Huanhuan's incident should never happen again.

After seeing Yan Zhengkun off, Mu Run took the two children hiking to pick tea leaves.

Tuantuan followed behind Huanhuan, who quickly climbed up the tree like a little monkey.

Tuantuan didn't go up because of the incident where she fell from the tree last time.

Mu Run put down the basket of tea leaves in her hand, went over and hugged Tuan Tuan, then patted his head. This child learns from his mistakes, which is the complete opposite of Huan Huan's carefree nature. "It's okay, we don't have to go if we don't want to. How about you help Mom pick tea leaves?"

"Okay," Tuantuan readily agreed.

Mu Run then said to Huanhuan in the tree, "You better watch out, or I won't catch you if you fall."

"No, it won't." Huanhuan stood on a tree branch, picked a large tea-leaf fruit, and tossed it to Tuantuan. "Here you go."

Two more days passed quickly.

Mu Run was busy with tea ceremonies, and Tuan Tuan's health had also improved, so she forgot about a certain man.

After lunch, Mu Run coaxed the two children to take a nap. But while she was coaxing them, she also fell asleep and even had a dream.

In her dream, she and her children lived happily and carefree in Death Valley. Suddenly, a fierce wind arose, accompanied by thunder and lightning, as if an apocalyptic event had occurred. She was swept into the sky, carrying her two children, farther and higher... She screamed for help, and just then, a hand suddenly grabbed her...

Startled, she woke up.

A tall figure stood beside the bed.

Still reeling from the shock, Mu Run gasped in fright at the sight of this figure.

Once she recognized who it was, she breathed a sigh of relief. "When did you get back?"

"Just got back? Did you have a nightmare?" Fu Yunchen was dressed in a black, close-fitting outfit, still reeking of blood. His voice was noticeably tired and hoarse. He then pulled a dagger from his sleeve, about to cut his wrist to feed Tuantuan his blood.

Mu Run quickly stopped him and then pulled him out of the bedroom. "No need, Tuan Tuan's Heart-Eating Gu has been cured."

Fu Yunchen looked at her, and after a moment said, "Long Qian."

Mu Run replied, "Yes, I'll take you to wash up first. Are you alright?"

"It's just a minor injury, nothing serious," Fu Yunchen replied.

Mu Run pulled him into the bathroom.

Have the servants prepare hot water and cooled boiled water. Since he is injured, it's best to keep his wound away from untreated water.

"Let me take a look first." Mu Run had treated his wound once before, so she was quite experienced.

Fu Yunchen rolled up his sleeve, revealing a wound that had already scabbed over with fresh blood.

"It's alright. When you're washing it later, try to avoid it... never mind, I'll help you wash it."

Steward Yang led his men to carry the water into the bathhouse. Since Mu Run was out fetching medicine, Steward Yang said, "Your Majesty, would you like me to attend to you?"

Fu Yunchen replied, "No need."

Manager Yang was taken aback, but upon hearing Mu Run's footsteps, he immediately understood. "I'll go down right away."

When Mu Run saw Manager Yang come out from inside, he said, "Wait a moment, Manager Yang, could you help him clean up and clean his wound?"

Manager Yang said, "I happen to have something urgent to attend to, so I'll have to trouble you, Madam Mu."

After saying that, he left in a hurry, as if he really had something urgent to attend to.

Mu Run entered the bathroom, where Fu Yunchen had already taken a quick shower and was now soaking in the bathtub.

Seeing this, Mu Run rushed over to grab his injured arm. "Hey! Are you trying to make the wound worse? Keep it in the water!"

Fu Yunchen smiled calmly, "I forgot."

Mu Run slapped his bare shoulder hard. "Watch your posture. You have to respect yourself first."

"Self-respect?" Fu Yunchen looked at her.

"Yes, if you don't love yourself, how can you expect others to love you?"

"……hehe."
