Mu Run stood by the window, but didn't see Cha Bao for quite a while.
Since we brought it home, it has never left the room. It just eats some chicken breast and goes to sleep every day. Tonight is the first time it has gone out.
Gazing into the vast darkness, Mu Run, waiting in vain for Cha Bao to return, felt a sudden sense of bewilderment. Reflecting on her recent experiences, she realized how unfortunate they had been. But even in misfortune, fate had smiled upon her, allowing her to encounter the tea tree.
"The tea is ready, so the next step is to sell it and find a market." Mu Run didn't let herself get stuck in her emotional memories, and she pulled herself out of the present to face the world and what she had to do next.
When she was in Xiangcheng, she met Manager Zhou and Xigong Yong. One was a tea drinker, and the other was a tea merchant. Both were influential people in the area, especially the latter. If they could approve of her tea, she should be able to open up sales channels.
Just as Mu Run was planning how to sell the tea, Cha Bao came running back from the darkness, with something in his mouth.
"Oh, welcome back~" A smile slowly appeared on Mu Run's face, bright and affectionate.
"Meow~" Cha Bao put the thing in its mouth on the windowsill. It was a fat, green worm with a golden line on its back, and it was still slowly wriggling. It was alive!
Mu Run wasn't afraid of bugs. She glanced at Cha Bao, then at the fat bug, and understood. "A gift for me?"
"Meow~" Cha Bao tilted its head, blinked its big silver eyes, and was incredibly cute.
"Thank you, Tea Treasure." Mu Run patted its round little head. "However, I don't want this. You can keep it to play with."
Tea Baby nudged the bug towards Mu Run again with its fluffy little white paws, meowing.
It was as if urging her to eat it quickly.
Mu Run couldn't help but chuckle, "Tea Bao, I really don't want to."
Cha Bao pushed the insect toward her again, persisting relentlessly.
Mu Run cupped it in both hands and rubbed its delicate pink nose against her own pert, white nose. "Tea baby, Mommy really doesn't want it~"
Tea Baby could understand her words. Seeing that she really didn't want it, it regretfully jumped back from her hand to the windowsill, lowered its head and swallowed the fat worm that was about to crawl out of the window.
"Why did you eat that... Aren't you afraid of getting a stomachache?" Mu Run asked worriedly.
"Meow~" Cha Bao jumped down from the windowsill, then walked to the bedside, lightly leaped onto the bed, and finally curled up at the head of the bed, looking like she was full and ready to sleep.
Mu Run smiled, closed the window, extinguished the candle, and went to sleep with Xiao Cha Bao.
Just as they fell asleep, a silver shadow suddenly drifted past the window...
Mu Run tentatively suggested to Manager Yang that he wanted to go to Xiangcheng to check out the tea market.
She thought Fu Yunchen would restrict her freedom and prevent her from leaving the mountain, but unexpectedly, Steward Yang agreed immediately.
“Going to Xiangcheng is fine. However, if Madam wants to check the tea market, it would be better to go to Jiangzhou. If you go south along the Dragon Vein Canal for less than three hundred miles, there is the Jiangliang granary of the Northern Jin Dynasty. Every year at this time, many tea merchants go there. The prefect of Jiangzhou selects the best spring tea of the year and then sends it to the palace.”
"Oh?" Mu Run's eyes lit up. "Then I'm going to Jiangzhou to compete for the title of Tea King."
"Okay, I'll arrange it right away."
...
When Cai heard that Mu Run was going to Jiangzhou, she hesitated for a moment.
"What's wrong, Sister Cai?"
"Madam, to be honest, I am from Jiangzhou."
“That’s not…” Mu Run suddenly stopped speaking. For Cai, Jiangzhou was her hometown, but it was also a place of heartbreak that forced her to flee.
"Sister Cai can stay in the village. I'll ask Steward Yang to help me find someone."
"Actually, there is someone I think would be suitable, and he is also from Jiangzhou."
Who is it?
