Chapter 49 Tea Tasting...

Mu Run pulled over the box and opened it.

Upon seeing this, I felt a mix of emotions.

The box was filled with her tea leaves.

"Damn it! Everything is under your control, isn't it?" Thinking of this, Mu Run sighed.

It won't be so easy for the imperial court to deal with Bianyun Village.

Then there's no need for her to search for information in the Prime Minister's study. All her efforts to sneak around are futile; the other party has already infiltrated the court system and knows everything.

Indeed, comparing goods is pointless, and comparing people... well, it's best not to compare at all.

In the courtyard of Qionglin Pavilion, there is a moon-viewing pavilion. Murun set out the tea set and made some snacks and meat pies to accompany the tea.

Fu Yunchen came out of the study and saw Mu Run busy in the Moon Appreciation Pavilion, her hands lazily tucked into her wide sleeves as she strolled over.

Hearing footsteps, Mu Run turned around and glanced at him.

There was a hint of resentment in her eyes, as if she was unhappy about the tea she had prepared for him.

Fu Yunchen sat down in the bamboo rattan chair, a hint of mockery in his eyes. "I'm doing this for your own good. If you don't leave today, you won't be able to leave tomorrow."

"I know!" Mu Run replied reluctantly.

"You were quite respectful to me before, but now that our roles have reversed, you're acting like you don't care at all." Fu Yunchen watched her hands as she methodically arranged the tea set and selected the tea.

Mu Run glanced at him and said, "You said it yourself, your identity has changed. Before, I was a maid; now I am..."

The conversation suddenly stopped.

Fu Yunchen smiled at her, "What is it now?"

Mu Run didn't answer his question, but said, "These teas can only be considered raw tea now, and they need to be fermented and roasted again to enhance their aroma. However, this old-growth, highly fragrant wild tea is made from tender buds that I picked myself. The dry tea leaves are uniform, intact, slender, and tightly rolled, resembling a sparrow's tongue. The color is dark green and oily. When you smell the dry tea, it has a floral fragrance that is refreshing, like the fragrance of gardenias, with some orchid notes and a mossy aroma. The mossy aroma is unique to old-growth tea trees; you can smell it for yourself."

Mu Run put the dry tea leaves into a gaiwan teacup that had been rinsed with boiling water, put the lid on, shook it a few times, and handed it to Fu Yunchen. "The aroma-inducing action, also known as shaking the tea leaves, can bring out the aroma contained in the tea leaves."

Fu Yunchen looked at her, extended his slender, jade-white hand, which looked like a finely sculpted jade, and took the teacup. "I don't know anything about tea."

"..." Mu Run's brow twitched slightly. "If you don't understand, you can learn!"

Fu Yunchen smiled and said, "Okay."

Lifting the lid of the teacup, an incredibly fragrant aroma wafted out... Fu Yunchen's playful eyes turned serious as he took a deep breath of the aroma and looked at Mu Run with surprise.

"The first thing you smell is the aroma of smoke. This tea is roasted just right, not too high or too low. Even as a raw tea, it's quite good." Mu Run took the cup lid from his hand and smelled the aroma of the lid. "Hmm, there's also a hint of green leaves. I'll re-roast it later, and that should be gone."

"Who taught you the art of tea?" Fu Yunchen handed the teacup back to Mu Run.

Mu Run replied, "I learned it in a dream."

Absolutely perfunctory!

Fu Yunchen didn't ask her any more questions. He watched as she simply poured hot water into the cup in a circular motion, without any of the fancy techniques of tea masters. "Why don't you use the high-pouring method?"

Mu Run replied, "I like simple backflips."

After pouring hot water into the cup, cover it and immediately pour the soup into the fairness cup.

The golden tea soup exuded a rich aroma. Mu Run poured a cup for Fu Yunchen first, and then poured one for herself as well.
