59. Heartbeat Resonance

59. Heartbeat Resonance

The car drove smoothly towards the hotel.

The light outside the window occasionally passed through the car, flickering and illuminating Chi Jin's blushing cheeks and Chen Yisheng's silhouette as he concentrated on driving.

The car was very quiet, with only the heating system and the faint sounds of each other's breathing. The warmth of the kiss just now under the fireworks seemed to still be scorching the air, allowing strands of ambiguity and tension to spread and ferment silently.

After parking the car, they walked into the hotel lobby one after the other and quickly checked in. The brief wait at the elevator door seemed eternity to Chi Jin. The mirrored door blurred their silhouettes, and she couldn't help but glance at him, only to meet his gaze, which was also deep and profound. Chi Jin's heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly lowered her eyes, pretending to study the pattern on the elevator buttons.

With a "ding" sound, the elevator arrived at their floor.

The corridor was covered with thick carpet, completely absorbing the sound of footsteps, leaving only an excessive silence, which amplified a tacit expectation.

When he reached the doors of two rooms side by side, Chen Yisheng stopped and took out the room card.

"We're here." His voice sounded particularly low in the quiet corridor. "Go to bed early. You've had a tiring day today."

Of course they needed to "rest early". After midnight, the two of them hardly stayed at the beach for a second.

"Hmm..." Chi Jin took the room card he handed to her, and the touch of her fingertips brought up a tiny electric current.

Chi Jin didn't open her door immediately, but just stood there. Chen Yisheng had already swiped open her door with a soft "beep". He pushed the door open, half turned around, and saw that she hadn't moved. He was thirty-four years old and knew everything.

Chi Jin took a step forward, not towards her own door, but followed him, like a nimble and somewhat timid little fish. Before he could react, she slipped under his arm and into his room.

Chen Yisheng was obviously stunned for a moment, and his hand holding the door handle paused before he walked in and closed the door.

"What..." He just opened his mouth when he was interrupted by Chi Jin who turned around.

The room was lit only by the corridor light, a soft, dim glow that enveloped her in a hazy aura. She stood with her hands behind her back, her head tilted slightly, a sly yet bold smile on her face that couldn't hide the shyness and nervousness in her eyes. Her voice was soft, almost coquettish, "Master Yan Wang, my room... the air conditioning doesn't seem to be working properly. It's a bit chilly."

This excuse was so lame that it made her ears redden, but she still insisted on speaking, looking at him without blinking: "Are you... warm here?"

Chen Yisheng stood in the shadow of the porch, looking at her. His usually calm and composed eyes, now in the dim light, became bottomless and full of undercurrents.

He did not answer immediately, but just looked at her solemnly, his gaze sliding from her sparkling eyes, to her slightly parted red lips that seemed to still have the scent of fireworks, and then to her chest that was slightly heaving with nervousness.

How do you know the air conditioner is not cold when you haven't even entered the room? / I haven't turned on the air conditioner yet / ask customer service... These self-evident answers lingered on his lips.

The air seemed to freeze, and every second was stretched out to an infinitely long length, filled with silent, scorching questions and answers.

After a long while, he slowly spoke: "...Come here and feel it for yourself."

Chi Jin stared at him with sparkling eyes and walked closer step by step. When she was one step away from him, Chen Yisheng suddenly reached out his hand, grabbed her waist, and pulled her towards him.

"Hmm!" Chi Jin exclaimed softly, and the whole person fell into his arms, and was instantly completely surrounded by the cool and warm breath from his body.

She could clearly feel the solidity of his chest and the strength of his heartbeat, beating against her senses again and again.

He lowered his head, resting his forehead lightly against hers, their breaths mingling hotly.

"Now," he whispered, his hot lips almost touching hers, "are you still cold?"

Chi Jin was speechless, just shaking his head vigorously, his arms involuntarily wrapped around his neck, his fingertips entangled in the short hair at the back of his head.

This action was a silent permission that instantly ignited all the suppressed fires.

Chen Yisheng's kiss finally fell.

It was no longer the kiss as gentle as snowflakes under the fireworks, but a kiss with a long-accumulated, burning desire that forcefully yet tenderly grabbed her breath.

His tongue gently but firmly pried open her teeth, penetrated deep into them, entangled with hers, with a hint of lingering sweetness of grape juice and a refreshing scent that belonged only to him, sweeping over all her senses.

Chi Jin felt weak all over and his mind went blank. He could only respond to him instinctively, awkwardly but enthusiastically.

The kiss grew deeper and more urgent, like a sudden storm that completely engulfed her.

He tightened his grip around her waist, and with his other hand he cupped her cheek, his thumb gently stroking her heated skin, but the kiss that was gradually spiraling out of control betrayed a deeper desire.

Before they knew it, they were stumbling and falling from the porch onto the soft bed.

Chi Jin sank into the soft duvet, Chen Yisheng's arms supported her side, briefly ending the almost suffocating kiss, and staring down at her condescendingly.

Her hair was spread out on the pillow in a messy manner, her eyes were filled with a layer of wet light, her lips were swollen from being kissed, her lips were slightly open and she was breathing, her chest was rising and falling rapidly.

His gaze seemed to carry real warmth as it swept across her eyebrows, nose, and red lips inch by inch, and finally stopped at her slender neck and slightly open collar.

His eyes were hot and focused, full of undisguised possessiveness and admiration.

"Jinjin..." He called her in a low voice, his voice hoarse, "It's not too late to go back now."

A voice kept knocking at Chi Jin's head. They had just confirmed their relationship yesterday.

Just yesterday.

Chi Jin closed her eyes and let her instinct drive her. She stretched out her slightly trembling hand, hooked it around his neck again, and pulled him towards her with force. She gave her answer with an active, slightly clumsy but extremely firm kiss.

Chen Yisheng's breathing suddenly became heavy. He kissed her deeply again, and at the same time, his warm palms slipped under her skirt and caressed the delicate and smooth skin at her waist. His slightly calloused fingertips caressed her, bringing about waves of uncontrollable tremors.

She moaned softly.

Chen Yisheng stopped what he was doing and kissed the tip of her nose, her chin, and finally her cheek.

"Chen Yisheng." She grabbed his collar but hesitated to give any instructions.

He didn't dare to move anymore and asked in a low voice: "Do you think it's too fast?"

Chi Jin shook his head and stroked his neck: "I am an adult and will be responsible for my own choices."

"do you like me?"

"I like Chen Yisheng."

This answer completely shattered the last bit of restraint.

His kisses began to spread downwards, landing delicately on her jaw, neck, collarbone... leaving behind moist and burning marks. Every place he kissed was like a small flame ignited, quickly spreading across the prairie, burning Chi Jin to a state of confusion and passion. She could only helplessly grasp his arm, emitting small, even unfamiliar whimpers.

The clothes were taken off one by one and scattered on the carpet.

The cool air touched her hot skin, causing her to shiver slightly, but it was immediately covered by his tighter hug and more passionate kiss.

His touch carried a certain irresistible magic. He patiently and persistently explored every secret of her body, igniting cluster of flames and forcing her to moan softly, which she could hardly suppress.

Chi Jin felt as if her body was no longer her own. It became as soft as a pool of spring water, and as if it was being slowly roasted over a warm fire. A strange and surging sense of emptiness spread from deep within her body, making her unconsciously move closer to him, seeking more.

Chen Yisheng felt her momentary stiffness and paused. Sweat dripped from his forehead and dripped onto her collarbone, burning her incredibly. He restrained himself, resting his forehead against hers, and asked with heavy breaths, "...Are you scared?"

Chi Jin opened his hazy eyes and looked at his expression of endurance that was almost painful. His heart trembled, and he shook his head. He raised his waist and moved closer to him, silently inviting him.

He took a deep breath, and the last bit of his rationality collapsed.

The next moment, both of them couldn't help but gasp. After a brief moment of adjustment, they gradually lost control. He was extremely gentle at first, but soon, the surging tide of emotion broke through the dam, carrying them both up and down.

The city outside the window is still bustling and the New Year celebrations are still going on, but all of this is isolated in another world.

In the room, the only sounds were the intertwined breaths, the suppressed gasps and moans, and the subtle sound of skin touching.

Original and moving.

He kept whispering her name in her ear, but Chi Jin's consciousness had long been blurred, and she could only rise and fall with his rhythm, like a small boat in the waves, and the only driftwood she could hold on to was him.

The extreme pleasure exploded in her body again and again like fireworks, so brilliant that she couldn't open her eyes and could only hug him tighter.

After an unknown amount of time, the wind and waves gradually subsided.

Chen Yisheng held her tightly in his arms. Both of them were covered in a thin layer of sweat, and their breathing was still struggling to calm down. He kissed the top of her head and forehead delicately, but his arms were still possessively wrapped around her waist, as if he was afraid she would disappear.

Chi Jin collapsed in his arms, too lazy to even move his fingertips, his whole body numb, as if every cell in his body was sighing with joy.

She pressed her cheek against his sweaty chest, listening to the equally rapid and powerful heartbeat coming from there, and an indescribable sense of security and happiness enveloped her tightly.

She quietly raised her head and happened to meet his eyes. The usual coldness and aloofness were gone from them, leaving only an inextricable tenderness, satisfaction, and a hint of lust that had not yet completely faded.

He lowered his head and pecked her swollen lips again, his voice hoarse and sexy: "Is the air conditioner still cold?"

Chi Jin blushed, buried her face in his arms, and muttered softly: "...It's so hot."

Chen Yisheng laughed softly, his chest shaking, and his arms around her tightened a little.

Outside the window, sporadic fireworks occasionally rose and exploded, and a faint light slipped in through the gaps in the curtains, flashing and disappearing.

And the room was warm like spring.
