Chapter 124 Back to School!

Time flies, and before we knew it, it was time for Zhang Shaozhong to go back to university to get his graduation certificate.

Looking at the calendar, he was filled with emotion. The past six months had been more surreal than the previous twenty years combined.

"Graduation certificate?"

"Go back to college?"

Ye Meier stood with her feet up, browsing shopping websites while asking questions!

Upon hearing this, Ye Meier became interested. "Is that the 'sect' you studied at? I'm going to go and see what kind of place produced such a fool like you!"

Although Ling Qingxue didn't speak, a hint of curiosity flashed in her eyes.

She was quite interested in the "academy" that Zhang Shaozhong mentioned for systematic learning.

"right."

Zhang Shao nodded and packed his simple luggage. "I need to go back to school to complete some formalities, and while I'm at it... I'll meet up with my roommates."

As he said this, his eyes held a complex expression, as he recalled the graduation trip that had changed his life.

Ling Qingxue put down her book and looked at him: "Is this why you fell into the ravine and met us?"

"That's right."

Zhang Shaozhong smiled, feeling a strange sense of destiny. "Speaking of which, I have to 'thank' that rain and that broken hillside."

Ye Meier became interested and leaned closer: "Oh? So, your roommates are our 'matchmakers'? Come on! I want to see what kind of people could send someone like you to us!"

Zhang Shaozhong: "..." Sister, are you praising or insulting me?

So, Zhang Shaozhong, accompanied by a fairy and a witch, stepped into his university campus once again.

Looking at the familiar tree-lined paths, teaching buildings, and the younger students coming and going, brimming with youthful energy, Zhang Shaozhong felt as if he had been transported to another world.

The two people accompanying him now are beings who can easily overturn the worldviews of ordinary people.

The procedures went very smoothly.

I had just come out of the administration building and was about to head to the agreed-upon meeting place with my roommate when I heard a loud and surprised shout:

"Holy crap! Zhang Shaozhong?! You actually came back?!"

Zhang Shaozhong turned around and saw two familiar figures walking quickly towards him.

One was Liu, tall and strong with dark skin, and the other was Wang Hao, who wore glasses and looked somewhat refined.

It was his two roommates who had gone on a crazy adventure to climb Yunwu Mountain!

"Da Liu! Haozi!" Zhang Shaozhong greeted them with a smile and patted them on the shoulder.

Da Liu and Wang Hao's eyes were instantly drawn to Ling Qingxue and Ye Meier behind Zhang Shaozhong. Their eyes widened like copper bells and their mouths were agape enough to fit eggs!

"I... my goodness..." Da Liu stammered, pointing at Ling Qingxue and Ye Meier, "Chong... Brother Chong! These... these two are...?"

Wang Hao pushed up his glasses, looking incredulous: "Shao Zhong, you've been gone for months... were you working as the male lead in some fantasy drama? Are these two... celebrities we hired?"

No wonder they were shocked. Ling Qingxue's aloof and otherworldly temperament and Ye Meier's captivating beauty made them stand out like two super-powerful spotlights in a crowd, completely out of place among the young college students around them. It was hard not to attract attention!

Zhang Shaozhong had anticipated this reaction and quickly explained, "Don't talk nonsense! These are my friends, Ling Qingxue and Ye Meier. Qingxue and Meier, these are my college roommates, Da Liu and Wang Hao."

Ling Qingxue nodded slightly as a greeting, and her aloof attitude made Da Liu and Wang Hao subconsciously straighten their backs, not daring to act rashly.

Ye Meier looked them over with great interest, especially the tall and burly Da Liu. She smiled and said, "Wow, you're quite a big guy!"

When she said that, Da Liu's dark face actually turned a little red, and he scratched his head and chuckled foolishly.

Wang Hao, however, keenly grasped the key information. He looked at Zhang Shaozhong, his eyes filled with inquiry and a hint of lingering fear: "Shaozhong, where have you been these past few months...? We searched for you for two whole days in Yunwu Mountain! We were almost ready to call the police! Later, the people at the scenic area said that section of the road was particularly haunted, and people often went missing there, and in the end... how did you..."

He didn't finish his sentence, but the meaning was clear.

They all thought Zhang Shaozhong was in grave danger.

Zhang Shaozhong felt a warmth in his heart, knowing that his buddy was genuinely worried about him.

He had already prepared his story, sighed, and began to make it up: "Oh, don't even mention it! It was raining so hard that day that I slipped and tumbled down the mountain. Luckily, I caught myself on a tree and wasn't seriously injured, but I got lost and my phone broke. Later, I was rescued by a... uh... hermit? Yes, a hermit! He was my friend! I stayed with him for a while to recover, and I only recently managed to get back in touch with my family."

His story was half true and half false, leaving Da Liu and Wang Hao stunned.

"hermit?"

Da Liu's eyes widened. "Holy crap! There really is such a master? Then your luck... can be considered a blessing in disguise?" He couldn't help but glance at Ling Qingxue and Ye Meier again, thinking to himself: This is too much luck!

Wang Hao pushed up his glasses, seemingly lost in thought: "Cloud Mist Mountain... it seems those legends aren't entirely unfounded..."

Just then, Ye Meier suddenly interrupted, looking at Da Liu and Wang Hao with a hint of teasing and curiosity in her eyes: "Hey, I say, why did you three ever think of climbing that damn mountain? And on a rainy day no less?"

Da Liu and Wang Hao were taken aback by the question. Da Liu said embarrassedly, "Well... we wanted to go crazy one last time after graduation! Everyone online said that mountain was thrilling, and there were so many legends about it... who knew it was really that bad!"

Wang Hao smiled wryly, "Thinking back now, it's really frightening. If something had really happened to Shaozhong back then, we..."

Looking at his two roommates' still shaken expressions, Zhang Shaozhong felt a mix of emotions.

He patted them on the shoulder: "Alright, it's all in the past! I'm perfectly fine, aren't I? In fact, I've benefited from this misfortune by meeting... Qingxue and Mei'er."

As he spoke, his gaze met that of Ling Qingxue and Ye Meier.

The three of them tacitly understood that the gears of fate began to turn quietly from that rainy day and that misty mountain, tightly connecting these three people who were originally unrelated and came from different worlds.

This reunion feels like the end of a cycle, but also the beginning of a new story.

Looking at the familiar campus and roommates, and then at the two extraordinary "family members" beside him, Zhang Shaozhong became even more determined to become stronger and find his way back home.

As for Da Liu and Wang Hao, looking at Ling Qingxue and Ye Meier, who had very different temperaments but were equally captivating, and then thinking about Zhang Shaozhong's bizarre "encounter"!

There was only one thought in my mind: what this guy has been through over the past six months is definitely not as simple as he makes it out to be! This kid has probably hit the jackpot!

Just then!!

A voice came from afar, "Hey!! Isn't this our Brother Chong? You didn't die from falling on Cloud Mist Mountain??"
