Zhang Shaozhong felt as if he had been run over by a heavy truck eight hundred times. Every bone in his body was screaming in protest, and his head was throbbing as if it were about to explode.
He groggily opened his eyes and saw an uneven rock ceiling with a few rays of dusty sunlight filtering through the cracks.
Good heavens, Zhang Shaozhong's mind went blank, as if he had been hit on the top of the head with a heavy hammer, and he was completely stunned.
The scene before him was a hundred times more absurd than any outrageous movie he had ever seen.
The first thing that catches the eye is the uneven rock, with a few rays of light filtering through the cracks, barely illuminating the not-so-large space.
And then... and then there were two delicate bodies lying beside him!
The one on the left is lying on her side, her long, black hair spread messily on the hay, revealing half of her exquisitely beautiful profile. Her eyelashes are long and thick, and her nose is straight and high. However, her brows are slightly furrowed, as if she is not sleeping soundly.
Smooth shoulders and a large expanse of snow-white back were exposed to the cool air without any cover. Downwards... Zhang Shaozhong abruptly looked away, his heart pounding wildly, almost leaping out of his throat.
The one on the right was even more outrageous, almost half-lying down, with an incredibly smooth arm brazenly draped over his chest, and his fiery red hair like leaping flames.
Scattered across her delicate collarbone and below, on the astonishingly curved mound... Zhang Shaozhong felt a rush of hot blood to his head, his nose tingling, and he almost caused a bloodbath to erupt on the spot.
What... what's going on?!
He sat up abruptly, the movement so large that the dry grass beneath him rustled.
The smooth arm on her chest slid down, and the red-haired girl let out an unconscious moan, startling Zhang Shaozhong so much that he froze instantly, not daring to breathe.
He hurriedly looked down to check himself!
Fortunately, I'm not feeling unwell anywhere.
The two people next to them also seemed to be doing well.
But what the hell is going on?!
Memory is like a poorly made videotape with broken clips, flashing back blurry, indistinct, yet blush-inducing, heart-pounding fragments.
It seems that... he and some classmates went hiking, and he slipped and tumbled down that damn steep slope... Yes, the intense feeling of weightlessness and fear from the fall came back instantly, the branches scraping against his body, the excruciating pain of hitting the rocks... He thought he was going to die.
Then I saw a fairy in white and a witch in black!
Then what?
Then came the heat, an indescribable, scorching heat, as if a fire had been set ablaze inside his body, burning away all his reason.
Something cold seemed to touch him, and like a thirsty traveler finding a spring of sweet water, he clung to it desperately, frantically demanding more…
"Hiss—" Zhang Shaozhong gasped, his face turning red and purple instantly. He wished he could slap himself twice to bring himself to his senses.
What a load of rubbish that is!
Even a wet dream can't be this outrageous!
But the vibrant scene around him told him with undeniable reality that those fragments might... might actually be real!
Oh no, oh no, oh no!
Zhang Shaozhong, you bastard!
What did you do?!
No, these two girls... He glanced at them carefully and nervously. Their stunning looks and temperament didn't seem like something that could come from his engineering university with its imbalanced male-to-female ratio!
Where did these two fairies... no, these two victims come from?!
Overwhelmed by immense embarrassment, panic, and guilt.
What is this? Taking advantage of someone in distress?
Or... a lose-lose situation?
Wait, are they alright?
Only then did he belatedly realize that he should check his body.
Falling from such a height, one would be severely injured, if not killed.
But he moved his arms and legs and twisted his neck—huh? It didn't hurt at all?
Not only did it not hurt, but I felt incredibly energetic and light all over.
He lifted his tattered shirt in disbelief. He clearly remembered the excruciating pain in his ribs, but now his skin was smooth and there wasn't even a bruise.
He touched his forehead again; it must have been scraped when he fell, as it was now completely smooth.
Is this some kind of ghost? A final burst of energy before death?
He instinctively took a deep breath, trying to calm his wildly beating heart.
It was this one breath that made him suddenly realize something was wrong.
The air in this cave... is so fresh!
It carried the scents of earth, grass, and a faint, pleasant fragrance; each aroma was distinct and distinct, filling his nostrils and invigorating him.
He could even clearly distinguish that the black-haired girl on the left had a cool, light fragrance like pine needles after a snowfall, while the red-haired girl on the right had a more intense, sweet floral and fruity scent, like that under the sun.
His eyesight was frighteningly good; in the dim light, he could even see the antennae of a small insect clinging to the stone wall a few steps away trembling slightly! He could also hear extremely faint sounds—the shallow, rhythmic breathing of the two girls beside him, even their heartbeats, thump, thump, thump, strong and steady, indicating they were simply asleep and probably alright. And in the far distance outside the cave, there seemed to be the babbling of a stream, the rustling of leaves in the wind…
An unprecedented sense of awareness enveloped him.
Even more strangely, he clearly felt a warm current of energy slowly swirling and flowing in his lower abdomen, and wherever it passed, his limbs and bones felt indescribably comfortable and full of power.
