Are we really just supposed to watch them die here?
Just when he was feeling utterly lost and helpless, and even began to consider whether he should find a place to dig a pit for them in advance to prevent them from dying in the wilderness, something unexpected happened!
The sweet pink mist that had been lingering in the air seemed to have reached a certain critical point.
Suddenly, two extremely faint but clearly painful groans came from the pit almost simultaneously.
"Um……"
"snort……"
Zhang Shaozhong suddenly raised his head, his heart stopped!
Almost simultaneously, the white-clad fairy and the black-clad witch twitched slightly, and then... slowly, with great difficulty... opened their eyes!
Four pairs of eyes, one cold and weak yet still carrying a chill, one alluring and weak yet unable to conceal a violent nature, all looked at Zhang Shaozhong, who stood in the middle, clutching half a vine, with a foolish expression, with a bewildered and endless pain in their eyes!
Zhang Shaozhong: "!!!"
My goodness! She's awake?!
Zhang Shaozhong was stunned at the moment, his mind a complete mess.
The two big shots suddenly opened their eyes, and the impact was no less than watching them exchange their ultimate moves!
He was so frightened he almost jumped up on the spot, the vine in his hand fell to the ground with a thud, and he didn't know where to put his hands and feet.
He opened and closed his mouth, but couldn't utter a single word.
The white-clad fairy's eyes, though weak, were still like shards of ice, clear and cold, carrying a condescending scrutiny and a hint of barely perceptible confusion, making Zhang Shaozhong feel uneasy, as if he were a petty thief caught red-handed.
The black-clad witch's eyes were even more terrifying. Even though she was badly injured and on the verge of death, the eeriness and ferocity in her eyes had not completely dissipated. Like a wounded venomous snake, she was even more dangerous, making the hairs on the back of Zhang Shaozhong's neck stand on end.
"Who...are...you?"
The white-clad fairy's voice was extremely weak and intermittent, as if she might stop breathing at any moment, but each word carried a natural coolness and majesty, striking Zhang Shaozhong's eardrums.
"You...ant...dare...to...peep...at...this...seat..."
The black-clad witch spoke almost simultaneously, her voice hoarse yet filled with a chilling killing intent, even though she could barely move a finger.
Zhang Shaozhong's legs went weak, and he almost knelt down on the spot.
"I...I...I'm not a bad person! I was just passing by! I accidentally fell down!"
He quickly raised his hands, stammering an explanation, his voice trembling as if he'd been electrocuted.
"I saw you were injured, and I wanted to... I wanted to help... but I don't know how..."
The two women clearly didn't fully listen to what he said, or rather, they were simply too incapable of thinking at that moment.
The intense pain left them exhausted just trying to stay conscious.
After asking that question, their eyes became unfocused again, their breathing became more rapid and painful, and their brows furrowed tightly, clearly indicating that they were enduring great pain.
Looking at their pained expressions, Zhang Shaozhong's fear was somewhat suppressed by his sympathy.
But he still didn't dare to get close and could only worry anxiously.
"Water...yes, water!"
He thought of the idea again, and although he didn't know if it would work, it was better than standing there doing nothing.
He turned around and tried to run towards the stream.
But just as he turned around, he took a few deep breaths and suddenly felt something was wrong.
The sweet, floral and fruity scent in the air has become unusually strong!
It's so thick it's almost cloying. When you inhale it, it feels... like your body is a little warm?
He shook his head, thinking he had been too nervous.
He tried to run, but his steps felt unsteady, as if he were walking on cotton. His head was spinning, and he could see double.
"Strange...why is it so hot..."
He muttered to himself, subconsciously tugging at the collar of his windbreaker.
The temperature in this valley is quite pleasant, but why does it feel like I'm in a sauna?
He staggered forward a few steps, but instead of feeling cool, the heat emanating from within his body grew stronger.
My heart started racing abnormally, pounding as if it were about to leap out of my chest.
My throat is terribly dry, but not the kind of dryness you feel when you're thirsty; it's a strange, burning thirst.
He couldn't help but take a few more deep breaths, trying to alleviate the strange feeling, but he inhaled even more of the pink mist, which was like pouring oil on hot coals!
"Hmm..."
Suddenly, a suppressed groan came from behind, filled with pain yet strangely tinged with a trembling tone.
Zhang Shaozhong subconsciously turned around to look.
The two people in the pit were also in a very strange situation!
The white-clad fairy's originally pale face suddenly flushed with an extremely unnatural and alluring blush! Her tightly furrowed brows relaxed slightly, replaced by a dazed and struggling expression.
She unconsciously twisted her body slightly, and the original icy cold seemed to have lessened considerably, instead radiating a kind of... a kind of heat that made one's heart race.
Her originally bloodless lips parted slightly, escaping a soft, suppressed moan. The sound... sent chills down Zhang Shaochong's spine and made his body feel even hotter.
The black-clad witch on the other side was even more outrageous!
Her wheat-colored skin flushed red, and beads of sweat seeped from her forehead and neck, sliding into her torn clothes.
Her breathing was rapid, as if she had run a 10,000-meter race, and her chest was heaving violently.
