Standing in the shadow of the yacht, Chaochao looked up, her mouth agape, her eyes blazing with hope.
Ugh!
Wow! We're really going out to sea?!
Chaochao couldn't wait to raise her arms and cheer.
Huo Qin remained expressionless, but his slightly cold voice sent a chill down one's spine for no apparent reason: "Why don't you bring the cruise ship over?"
The butler hesitated for a moment, then said apologetically, "Mr. Huo, this area of water does not have a permit, and cruise ships cannot enter."
"…………"
The silence dried by the lake.
Huo Qin concluded calmly, "Let's proceed with the standard lake tour."
His cold, deep gaze swept lightly over the butler who was about to ask, "Should we change to the latest Larson model?" He then opened his lips and said, "Do you want me to teach you how to do it again?"
The other person was jolted by that chilling gaze, their blocked brain seemingly starting to function again: "..."
Good heavens!
What idiot was he just saying?
Chaochao didn't understand their conversation, especially the parts that were rather offensive. No, she could actually make out some of it.
The little dumpling rested its chin on its hand, belatedly realizing what was happening.
"So...we're not going to go to sea again?"
Her sincere and innocent question made the butler blush with embarrassment. After stammering an apology, he ran away as fast as his backside could catch fire.
They quickly had the staff bring over the small pleasure boats reserved for tourists.
In the afternoon, Chaochao and Huoqin drifted on the rippling blue lake. At first, she was very excited and accepted the plan of only boating on the lake instead of going out to sea quite quickly. Before Huoqin could keep an eye on her, the little girl had scurried from the bow to the stern of the boat.
Seeing her leaning over the gunwale, about to reach out and touch the ripples on the lake, Huo Qin's temple throbbed slightly. He then grabbed the strap of the little girl's life jacket and tugged it back.
A lukewarm threat.
"The big fish in the lake love to eat little snacks like you."
Despite being pulled back from the brink, Chaochao showed no sign of frustration. She patted her bottom behind her back with one small hand, and at the same time, blinked her clear, bright eyes, tilted her head, and thought seriously for a moment. The whole little dumpling radiated intelligence—
"If I'm a snack, then aren't you a main course, Daddy? Wouldn't they like you a little more?"
The little dumpling cast a worried look at Huo Qin with genuine concern, but in reality, it had already secretly reached out a paw to tug at the man's arm, trying to get away from the ship's railing.
Huo Qin: "…………"
I'm afraid my child's brain will grow too big.
"Daddy, this is for you!"
Suddenly, a bright, childlike voice rang in his ears. He lowered his gaze, and a pure, tender yellow hue entered his field of vision.
His gaze paused, and then he saw the whole picture.
A small calamus flower.
Flowers of aquatic plants that live by the lake.
The slightly curved petals reflected a faint glimmer of water, and the base of the flower was still dripping wet... as if it had just been pulled out of the water and then carefully wiped clean.
Huo Qin remained in the same position as ten seconds ago, his dark eyes fixed on the flower, making it impossible for anyone to tell that he had actually been daydreaming.
So we weren't just playing in the water.
"Flowers for Dad, a perfect match!"
Holding up a small yellow flower, Chaochao praised it with a strong and resounding voice.
system:"……"
These two words sound a bit strange.
The system initially thought that Mr. Huo would inevitably speak up to correct him, but instead saw him quietly accept the flowers, seemingly unconcerned about his sleeves being wet with water droplets, take out a transparent glass from the base cabinet, and place the small calamus flower in the glass.
"Thank you, I'll accept it."
Go home and get a better vase.
