Chapter 36 The little dumpling goes to play with her older brother!

The Xie family.

As soon as Xie Jingcheng opened the door and looked down, he saw a delicate little girl wearing a light yellow dress, a beige fisherman's hat, and carrying a Winnie the Pooh bag. Her sweet, childlike voice was clear and crisp:

Good morning, Brother Jingcheng. Have you eaten yet?

If it weren't for the fact that the person in front of him was a genuine three-year-old, Xie Jingcheng would have thought that the person opposite him was an old man returning from a walk.

Xie Jingcheng simply hummed in agreement.

He got up around 7 a.m., ate a few slices of toast, and then waited for her, initially hesitating whether to go directly to her house to pick her up.

After all, considering that the child is directionally challenged, even though the neighborhood is not large, there is still a possibility that he might get lost.

She arrived just as I was about to leave.

Hearing this, Chaochao felt relieved. It's good that she ate; then she won't faint while playing, hehe.

Xie Jingcheng led her into the house, where he was the only person present.

Mr. and Mrs. Xie left yesterday, and the servants at the villa were also told by him to take a day off and not to come.

Yesterday, Chaochao, who had been ruthlessly kept at bay, finally got a glimpse of its true face.

Unlike the Huo family's understated style, the Xie family's extravagance was on full display, with the glittering hall almost blinding Chaochao.

Antique vases, master oil paintings, and other items are displayed in a staggered manner.

It's a bit similar in style to my grandfather's house.

But it seems a bit like my dad's house.

Actually, the reason why Chaochao felt this way was because the Xie family in front of her was very similar to the Huo family when she first arrived—lacking any sense of life.

They are all valuable collectibles, while the number of everyday items is pitifully small.

Would you like some water?

Xie Jingcheng tried his best to be a good host, even though his tone remained nonchalant.

Chaochao shook her head; she had drunk milk at home before coming over.

As soon as she sat down on the sofa, she asked eagerly, "Brother Jingcheng, what should we play? Building blocks? Puzzles? Or drawing?"

As she spoke, the little girl took out her small backpack, placed it on the coffee table, stared at him with sparkling eyes, and eagerly shared her toys with him.

Xie Jingcheng, now a high school sophomore: ...

He had a bit of a headache: "You play by yourself, I'm not playing."

“Oh…” Chaochao obediently said yes.

She's a little adult now, she can take care of herself!

but.

"So what do you play?"

Xie Jingcheng took out his phone. "I'm playing games."

game?

When Chaochao was at the company, she often saw her older brothers and sisters saying they wanted a plate of it.

Is it the kind of game on your phone where lots of colorful little people jump around?

Before she could even figure it out, her heart was already drawn to Lego.

And so, one of them leaned back on the sofa playing mobile games, while the other sat on the carpet building blocks on the coffee table.

There is a clear division of labor and a harmonious atmosphere.

But Xie Jingcheng felt something was off.

Is taking care of children really that easy?

No crying, no fussing, no shouting?

On the contrary, the guy he was playing King of Glory with was startled and howling like a brat.

The living room was brightly lit, and the sunlight reflected off the mirrored floor tiles was slightly dazzling.

Xie Jingcheng narrowed his eyes, glancing out of the corner of his eye at the child holding a building block in one hand and rubbing his eyes with the other.

"Chao Chao." Xie Jingcheng paused the game, took off his headphones, and asked, "Want to come upstairs and play?"

"Hmm?" Her eyes, which she had just rubbed, welled up with tears. After a slight delay, Chaochao clapped her hands and said, "Okay! I want to go play in my brother's room!"

Xie Jingcheng picked up Chaochao and carried her up to the second floor.

The slope of the stairs in the Xie family's house isn't too steep for adults, but it's still a bit too steep for children.

Therefore, they did not notice that their noisy teammates, who had been cursing and swearing throughout the game, suddenly became strangely quiet.

Chaochao leaned on his shoulder and smelled the faint, clean scent of shower gel.

The boy was dressed casually in a white t-shirt and black pants, and had removed his flamboyant silver earrings. His expression was still lazy and indifferent, but his sharp facial features seemed to have softened.

As soon as she entered the room, Chaochao couldn't help but look around.

The room was spacious and brightly lit yet softly lit.

The overall color scheme is black, white, and gray, a common style for boys' rooms.

There's also a super big and somewhat ugly swivel chair.

This is my brother's room.

Chaochao hasn't seen many boys' rooms. They've all been her father's, her grandfather's, and now her brother's. But they all have one thing in common: they're all very clean. Except for her cousin Sun Yuhang, whom she's almost forgotten, his toys are scattered all over the floor, and Chaochao always has to clean them up for him.

Xie Jingcheng placed her on a soft stool. The little girl touched her tummy and looked at him, "Brother, I'm hungry. Do you have anything to eat?"

Yes, there really is.

Knowing that the children were coming to his house, Xie Jingcheng went to the convenience store and bought a bag of snacks.

He laid out the snacks in front of Chaochao and let her choose.

This includes the lollipop that Chaochao bought for him yesterday.

Chaochao was overjoyed to see the candy.

"Wow--"

"Holy shit!!! I've had enough!!"

A roar filled with bitterness and indignation came from Xie Jingcheng's phone.

"I'm still here!! If you want it, please turn it off!!!"

Chaochao was so startled that she almost dropped her lollipop.

Who! Who's speaking?!

Xie Jingcheng picked up his phone and realized that he had accidentally turned on the microphone.

Xu Yizhou was still yelling like a madman: "Brother Cheng, I never thought you were this kind of person! I'm telling you, single people have rights too!"

He vowed to defend the rights of single people to the death!!!
