Chapter 396 Amusement Park?

After secretly hiding her secret candy in the snack station in her closet, the little dumpling, her mind at ease, went downstairs.

"I've already washed my hands and used some perfume."

Chaochao spread out her two fair and tender little hands in front of Huo Qin, turning them over both sides as if she were performing official duties.

Finally, he even came closer to us eagerly:

"Don't believe me? Smell it!"

Huo Qin tilted his head back slightly, "...I didn't disbelieve."

"Then I'll... I'll go see Niu Dan...?"

Chaochao's small hand, which had been smoothly withdrawn, turned and picked up a small cake with exceptional dexterity, feeding it into her mouth while blinking her eyes at the man.

Huo Qin's indifferent expression was tinged with a hint of numbness:

"...Go."

Half an hour passed.

The TV was playing the end credits music, and the curious children were lying on the sofa, taking turns video chatting with their older siblings who had arrived home, including Xie Jingcheng, who was less than 1km away.

During the video call, everyone unconsciously lowered their voices, their tenderness and affection evident.

The system roughly knows the reason.

Because the little dumpling's parting words were truly effective.

Sitting next to her, Huo Qin glanced sideways at Chao Chao's little face, which was illuminated by the blue light of the screen, and looked as happy as a little fool.

He clicked his tongue very softly, then turned his head away without making a sound.

The last video call with Pei Yushen had just ended when Lingling called.

"Too-to-to-!"

Lingling's pretty and joyful face appeared on the screen, against a backdrop of colorful and dazzling lights, bustling crowds, and slightly noisy voices.

Excited, Lingling shouted at the top of her lungs, afraid the little dumpling across from her wouldn't hear her: "Chaochao, look where I am!!"

Chaochao tilted her head, thought for a couple of seconds, and then a look of certainty flashed in her eyes. Although she didn't understand, she still shouted back at the top of her lungs:

"The farmers market!!"

Suddenly, a woman's chuckle came from the background.

"Oh, Mom, don't laugh... Chaochao, it's an amusement park! Look, that's the carousel! I rode it twice, it was so much fun! It felt like I was flying!"

At this point, she sighed regretfully, "I was just about to call you so you could see it too, but I couldn't get through, which is so strange..."

Chaochao opened her eyes wide and leaned closer to the screen, her clear almond-shaped eyes reflecting the dazzling light, revealing a look of amazement: "Wow... these ponies are so beautiful! They look like Polly!"

Chaochao has never been to an amusement park, but there are scenes of amusement parks in TV series, Peppa Pig, and Ultraman.

Although I haven't been there in person, I've seen it by following them.

Looking at the photos taken by Sister Lingling, it really does look like a sparkling fairytale castle, just like in the TV series.

Lingling said a few more words, and then the camera zoomed in five times to show Chaochao her dad who went to ride the roller coaster alone.

"Chaochao, look, my dad is right there!"

The little boy squinted hard, searching through the shaky screen, and finally found his father, Wei, thanks to Lingling's pointing.

Just as the roller coaster reached its highest point, it suddenly plunged downwards.

Chaochao then saw Wei's father sitting alone on the front of the car, his hairline blown off and his face stiff.

Little dumpling: ⊙?⊙Wow!

It's been a long time since I've seen Lingling's father. Does he look like this now?

Lingling, behind the screen, let out a giggle, like a dutiful daughter.

"Chao Chao, this place is so much fun, and there's so much delicious food!"

"Sigh...we'll have to go home after my dad comes down." Lingling spun around reluctantly, then suddenly leaned close to the camera and suggested expectantly, "Chaochao, how about we come play together next time? Can we do it in a couple of days?"

Little did they know that the little dumpling opposite them had thought about it seriously for a while, then shook its head, cupped its little hand to its mouth, and exclaimed loudly:

"Not these next few days! I'm going out to play with my brother!"

Lingling remembered that Chaochao was indeed going to record the last episode of "Liang Beibei" soon.

That show that made her poor little sister Chaochao laugh out loud.

Although Lingling felt it was a pity, she did not persist in pursuing it.

She comforted Chaochao.

"That's okay, you can ask Uncle Huo to bring you to play sometime."

"Chaochao, you can make a bet with the adults and make a wish. Like this time, I got all the math problems right, and my parents agreed to bring me..."

Huo Qin paused slightly, swiped his finger across the tablet to exit the news page, and then looked in Chaochao's direction.

She listened attentively to Teacher Lingling's sharing of her life experiences.

He would nod his head from time to time as if he were being taught something.

"Okay, I won't say any more. My dad's coming down..." Lingling, who was thirsty, took a sip of water and, as she walked, worriedly added, "Chaochao, if you go to record the show, remember to call me... Ahh, Dad, don't throw up!!"

Beep beep beep—

The call ended abruptly.

At this moment, Chaochao realized that Sister Lingling had sent her five or six photos of the amusement park more than ten minutes earlier.

She tapped her finger to open a page.

I stared at the photo for a long time.

Huo Qin, who was silently watching the little dumpling without leaving a trace, half-closed his long, dark eyelashes and tapped his cool fingertips very lightly on the tablet.

"Chaochao, what are you looking at?"

The system couldn't help but ask, because it saw it as just an ordinary family photo of Lingling and her family of three.

Aren't you envious of Lingling being able to go to the amusement park...?

The little dumpling didn't even look away, raising its finger to point at the family of three—
