System: It's not you, Chaochao... sigh!
...
The old house wasn't a place you could just come and go as you pleased, so Old Master Huo waved his hand and insisted they stay for a few days. Of course, Huo Qin and Jiang Chi could leave at any time, but their precious granddaughter Chaochao absolutely had to stay!
As Grandpa Huo was speaking, Chaochao, who was very supportive, raised both hands in agreement: "Yes, yes, Chaochao also wants to stay with Grandpa!"
Huo Qin had anticipated that Chaochao would be controlled, so he remained calm and silent, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
Jiang Chi didn't care at all; he was just a transient person anyway.
The next day, Huo Qin went to the company because Jiang Chi had a notice.
Only Grandpa Huo and his grandson Chaochao remained at home.
The little dumpling sat on the sofa, intently watching Ultraman on TV. Watching movies on a big screen is truly enjoyable, as long as you're not looking at embarrassing photos of yourself. Completely immersed in the story, Chaochao clenched her little fists nervously, waiting for Ultraman to unleash his ultimate attack and defeat the monster.
The old man sitting next to her was rewatching the first episode with the live comments on his iPad. He liked any comments praising his granddaughter's cuteness and reported any sarcastic or opportunistic comments.

Amin glanced at the monitor and said, "Sir, we have a guest."
The smile on Old Master Huo's face vanished, and he nodded, saying, "Let them in."

They were a well-dressed and seemingly very cultured couple.
"Grandpa Huo, I apologize for disturbing you." The man in white smiled and bowed slightly humbly before the dignified and solemn old man.
Old Master Huo nodded, looking at the son of his old friend, his tone softening slightly: "It's been a long time since we last met."
The man immediately relaxed, laughed heartily, and after exchanging a few pleasantries with his wife and the old man, he turned his gaze to the little dumpling who had been curiously staring at them for a long time beside the old man.
"This must be Chaochao," the man said gently to the little girl. "My name is Pei Luying, and this is my wife, Shuhan. It's a pleasure to meet you."
He had seen her on Mr. Huo's WeChat Moments several times before, so he must know that the little girl who is currently trending online is Mr. Huo's granddaughter.
Chaochao blinked her bright, big eyes and said, "Hello, Uncle and Auntie!"
The couple's smiles became more affectionate, but as Mrs. Pei's smile grew, a hint of sadness crept into her eyes, and her eyes quietly reddened.
Seeing this, Chaochao tilted her head in confusion.
At this moment, Old Master Huo stood up and said calmly, "Come to my study with me."
Then she turned to the little dumpling and said lovingly, "Chaochao, you can watch here slowly, watch as many episodes as you want."
Grandpa isn't as stingy as your dad.
Chaochao's eyes brightened a bit, and she nodded obediently, watching the three of them go upstairs.
She couldn't help but recall the beautiful aunt's somber smile from earlier.
Why?
