Jiang Chi rolled up his sleeves, a disdainful smile curving his lips, his affectionate peach blossom eyes fixed on the chicken.
It's as if you're looking at a delicious plate of Kung Pao Chicken.
The program stipulated that adults catch chickens and children collect eggs.
As he folded his sleeves, he said to Chaochao, "I'll go catch the chicken, you go get the eggs."
"But I also want to—" The little dumpling was not satisfied with the arrangement and protested softly.
Before he could finish speaking, Jiang Chi swiftly grabbed the chicken.
In terms of technology, there is speed; in terms of power, there is speed.
We missed our target.
"Giggle~ giggle~"
Jiang Chi: "..."
Meanwhile, on the other side, Lei Bao and his father were having a lively fight with the chicken, with chicken feathers flying everywhere. Hao Guoli, as expected of a comedian, kept making the audience in the live broadcast room laugh with his witty remarks.
Seeing her brother's initial setback, Chaochao clenched her little fists and recklessly rushed out, like a bullish newborn calf. Although she was only slightly larger than a chicken, she was loud and full of vigor, shouting, "Brother, I'm here to wish you a happy birthday, no, to lend you a hand!"
Seeing that she had already run up to the chicken, Chaochao, who was confident of victory, started to celebrate in her mind.
Hey little chick, I'm going to catch you!
She's incredibly capable!
The truth is, the reality check came quite quickly.
The little dumpling wrapped its short arms around her.
Chaochao: "???"
Where's the chicken? It's gone!
The little dumpling stood there, stunned, staring at the empty haystack. Its tiny brain couldn't understand how the scene of turning into a live chicken had just happened.
Chaochao turned around, the chicken on her head with her, and looked at Jiang Chi with a blank expression. "Brother, the chicken... it's gone..."
How did you do that?
Jiang Chi: "...Lower your head."
Chaochao solemnly reached out her hand in refusal, saying, "You can't bow your head, or your crown will fall."
Jiang Chi remained silent.
But you are a rooster comb now.
And who taught you those cringeworthy, childish quotes?!
[Hahahaha, this chicken is seriously "addictive," literally!]
This chicken is truly a game-changer, lol.
Jiang Chi: My mother tongue is speechlessness.
[Does anyone understand? I spat water all over my computer! (laughing and crying emoji)]
The chicken on Chaochao's straw hat swaggered at him.
Jiang Chi let out a sneer.
Are you using this little fool as a weapon?
"Brother, my head feels so heavy." Chaochao touched the top of her head in confusion.
"Giggle~"
The hen flew away, its wings flapping "smack" and landing on Chaochao's head.
This combination of a nasal stomp and a kick caused the little boy, who was off-balance, to stagger a few steps in a daze, looking just like a drunkard.
Upon seeing the hen that had appeared out of nowhere, Chaochao exclaimed, "!!!"
It's reappeared!
The system decided to tell Chaochao the truth: "Chaochao, that chicken just flew onto your head."
After digesting the information, Chaochao widened her eyes and pointed at the hen, "You...you cheated!"
The child's innocent voice was filled with indignation.
The hen strolling leisurely clucked dismissively at her.
Chaochao—she couldn't understand.
The system was now contemplating that Chaochao's ability to communicate with small animals was not universally applicable.
This is probably related to the animal's own level of intelligence and development.
Jiang Chi glanced at the chicken and walked away, saying, "I'll deal with you later."
The little dumpling had clearly given up on the idea of catching chickens.
Such a cunning chick, let the adults handle it.
She was still a helpless little girl.
"Brother, brother, I've come to get the eggs!"
The children were very eager to volunteer for the mission.
Jiang Chi herded all the chickens out of the nearest coop, where three or four free-range eggs were found on the straw mat.
Chaochao cautiously approached the chicken coop and squatted down, sneaking around like a little thief stealing eggs. Her hand reached towards the egg in the very center.
In the darkness, a pair of tiny black eyes emitted a red glow.
"Waaaaah, no, don't hit me!"
Everyone turned around when they heard the child's scream.
Even the unruly chicken stopped to watch the spectacle.
Jiang Chi's eyes sharpened instantly as he grabbed the chicken by the neck.
Chaochao stretched out her arms and ran out of the chicken coop, her short legs moving at their fastest speed ever, then opened her mouth and cried pitifully:
"I...I haven't taken it yet—!"
Behind her, a robust hen darted out of the cage, swift as an arrow, and caught up with Chaochao, leaping into the air and kicking Tuanzi on the back!
thump--!
The little dumpling fell face down to the ground.
The straw hat rolled to the side with a clatter.
All was silent.
Even the chickens have stopped crowing.
The fighting rooster, having accomplished its mission, turned its neck and returned to its roost with an air of triumph.
Jiang Chi looked astonished. He rushed forward to help Chaochao up, still carrying the "Chaochao's Treasure" in his hand.
The little girl was still in a daze. Jiang Chi quickly checked her whole body. Fortunately, the chicken coop had soft mud flooring, and the burly chicken had been merciful, so Chaochao was not injured.
Besides, it added that ten square meters of childhood trauma.
Chaochao's almond-shaped eyes were wet with lingering fear, her small nose was pink, there was a speck of dust on her left cheek, and a few straws were stuck in her messy hair.
Like Little Swallow who escaped death from the ruthless chess club back then.
Jiang Chi pulled out a tissue with one hand and, suppressing a laugh, wiped the dust off the little dumpling's face.
Thank goodness, it wasn't chicken poop.
At this moment, Chaochao seemed to wake from a dream, blinked her moist eyes, and fixed her gaze on her brother in front of her.
The subsequent grievances suddenly surged like a raging tide.
