Chapter 243 Lingling, you are our god!

The three children did not immediately go to search for the treasure.

Because dinner time is almost here—

Plates of delicacies were laid out on the long table. Chaochao, having removed the seal from the note, swallowed hard and stared intently at the rising steam, so enticing that she felt rooted to the spot and planted herself right next to the table.

"The food will be ready soon, Chaochao. Just wait a little while and you can eat." Shize's mother affectionately patted the little dumpling's head and couldn't resist poking her soft little face.

Finally, he simply grabbed Chaochao and took a deep breath of her.

Ah... a sweet and soft daughter is the best...

Reluctantly snapping out of her reverie by the aroma of the delicious food, Chaochao was instantly captivated by the warm embrace of her beautiful older sister.

Just cuddling one baby wasn't enough, so Shize's mother called over Lingling, "Come here and let your older sister hold you!"

Left alone, Ji Shize silently picked up the small toys on the carpet and looked up at the three people sitting on the sofa, whispering sweet nothings to each other.

Just yesterday he was being held in his mother's arms and praised as a good baby, has that love just vanished...?

Ji Shize turned around and stuck the Ultraman card to his chest, and his sad little face immediately cheered up.

It's okay, Ultraman is right beside him, and the light will always be with him!

After finishing his meeting, Mr. Ji came downstairs. He looked at the two little girls who had come to visit and grinned, saying, "I'm sorry, Uncle had work to take care of and couldn't entertain you. Did you have fun, Chaochao, Lingling, and Shize?"

Lingling answered seriously, "I'm fine, it's just that Chaochao has never... uh, won."

The truth is, I've been losing the whole time...

Upon hearing this, Ji's father looked at Ji Shize standing to the side, his eyes filled with disbelief.

You think you can bully little girls just because you're older?

Ji Shize's gaze darted around, unable to look his father in the eye: "I...I don't know either..."

He really did try to relieve himself, sob sob, he never expected things to turn out like this...

Still dazed from the kisses, Chaochao lifted her head from Shize's mother's arms, not quite understanding what was going on. She only remembered the question her father had asked, and immediately gave a sweet smile, "I had so much fun! Shize is so amazing, he can do everything!"

Despite being carried along, Chaochao didn't feel unhappy at all. Even though she was always at the bottom of her older siblings' class, she only felt a little melancholy for a while, doubting everything, her luck, and even Pleasant Goat. The confident little dumpling never doubted her own abilities.

She's happy as long as she's playing with her friends!

Suddenly remembering something, Chaochao sat up abruptly, raised her two little hands with great enthusiasm, and said with a silly grin:

"And we still need to go to the hospital later..."

Before she could finish speaking, two little hands covered Chaochao's mouth almost simultaneously.

"Uh..." Ji Shize, who had just finished the five-meter hurdles sprint, had beads of sweat on his forehead. He stammered, "What Chaochao means is that we'll be going to the yard later... the yard..."

"Go for a walk in the yard! That way, it'll be easier to digest your food."

The owner of the other small hand, Lingling, explained solemnly, "That's what my mother told me."

Ji Shize: "Ah, right, right, right."

With her mouth covered, Chaochao nodded in agreement: "Mmm..."

Ji Shize's parents glanced between the three guilty-looking children, feeling a little uneasy. But for now, Ji's mother could only say, "Oh, is that so? Taking a walk is certainly a good thing, good for your health, there's nothing to be embarrassed about... It's just... Shize and Lingling, shouldn't you take your hands away for a moment? Chaochao seems to be holding it in..."

What can't be held back anymore?

The two children turned around in confusion and saw Chaochao with her eyes slightly narrowed and her nostrils flaring.

"!!!"

Startled, they immediately withdrew their hands. Just as their hands were withdrawn, the little dumpling, unable to resist the tickling any longer, cried out, "Achoo!"

Shi Ze's mother quickly handed him a tissue.

"Thank you... Shize Mama..."

Even while wiping her nose, the little dumpling didn't forget to thank her beautiful and kind older sister.

While concerned, Mr. Ji remained puzzled. He looked at Ji Shize and asked, "Then why are you covering Chaochao's mouth?"

Ji Shize's eyes darted around, seeking help from Lingling: "..."

"Because my little sister Chaochao is about to get cavities and can't stand the light."

Lingling said in a serious tone, while blinking in confusion, and asked in a childish voice, "That's what my mom told me, don't you uncles and aunts know that?"

"Uh..." The couple exchanged a glance, basically understanding that this was probably an excuse Lingling's mother was using to fool the child. They didn't want to expose her rashly, so they forced themselves to say, "Yes, that's right..."

"That's good. I thought Mom was lying to me."

Little Lingling immediately showed a relieved expression.

This vivid acting left Ji Shize speechless.

After the couple left, his admiration was almost palpable; he was practically ready to kneel down before his goddess, Lingling.

Lingling, you are our goddess!

Upon receiving the praise, Goddess Ling waved her hand modestly: "Oh, it's nothing!"

She didn't watch those cartoons for nothing, hmph.

But they forgot there was another person present.

"Really...really?"

Believing her, Chaochao clutched a crumpled tissue, her bright eyes misting over, her trembling mouth seeming to want to cry, but she restrained herself: "I... sob... is my tooth swollen so badly it's going to grow worms?"

Then she'll lose all her teeth like an old lady... Will she still be able to eat candy then? Waaaaah...
