Chapter 199 Island Date, Huo Yanmo's Surprise
Time flies.
It was time for Shi Nian and Huo Yanmo's third date.
The date was to be held on a small island.
This small island is only 15 minutes away from City A.
Many events are usually held there.
With frequent actions from above in recent days, everyone is curious about what's going on on this small island.
Even Shi Nian heard about it.
That day, when Huo Yanmo came to pick her up, she finally understood that the commotion on the island was all for her sake.
As the two boarded the ship, Shi Nian looked at Huo Yanmo beside her and said, "Why make such a big fuss?"
But Huo Yanmo just smiled slightly and said, "It's not just the two of us."
This made Shi Nian even more curious.
They boarded the ship at dusk, the sunset was blood red, and 15 minutes later, they set foot on the island.
After walking a few steps and turning a corner, Shi Nian saw the scene before her and was amazed.
The entire street in front of me looked like a scene from a dream.
This place is full of exotic charm, mixed with strange and shiny gems, strangely burning spices, and many other things that seem like magic.
The two had just stood at the entrance when Shi Nian was attracted by something.
A man dressed in a magician's robe reached out from the air and suddenly a circle appeared in his hand. With a flick of his wrist, the circle transformed into a string of balloons.
Shi Nian kept looking at him, trying to figure out how he had conjured it up.
But he had already bowed slightly and handed the balloon string in his hand to Shi Nian.
Shi Nian glanced at Huo Yanmo, but she realized that Huo Yanmo had disappeared while she was distracted.
While she was still in a daze, the string of balloons had already been stuffed into her hand.
The pleasant aroma of burning spices filled the air, and suddenly a large number of colorful bubbles blew out from some window nearby.
These colorful bubbles surrounded her.
Bathed in the orange glow of the setting sun, it looked as romantic as a fairy tale.
Shi Nian held the string of balloons in one hand and poked the colorful bubbles with the other.
When a giant bubble containing colorful little bubbles burst, a man appeared before her.
He was wearing a black suit and an exaggerated half-face mask.
He was also holding a top hat and wearing white gloves.
He turned the top hat upside down to make sure there was nothing else inside.
Having made sure he had her attention, he smiled slightly, then took something from her left shoulder and tossed it into the top hat.
The next moment, he pulled a white dove out of his top hat.
The pigeon flapped its wings and struggled.
"Wow!" Shi Nian was completely stunned. She had just seen it; the top hat was turned upside down and there was nothing inside.
The man placed something on her left shoulder and then threw the pigeon away.
Then, the pigeon landed steadily on her left shoulder.
Shi Nian stirred, but the white pigeon didn't move; it just stayed there, cooing softly.
"Smack!"
Just as Shi Nian's attention was drawn to the pigeons, a snap of fingers made her turn around.
Then she saw the magician looking at her with a smile.
He turned his top hat upside down so Shi Nian could see it, but there was still nothing there.
Then he took something from her right shoulder and put it into his top hat.
This time, he reached into his top hat and Shi Nian watched curiously, wondering what he could pull out.
Then, as a gentle breeze blew by, colorful bubbles floated by, and he took out a half-face mask of a woman inlaid with various gemstones from his top hat.
He tossed his top hat, causing the petals inside to flutter down, then bowed slightly and handed the half-face mask to Shi Nian.
Shi Nian hesitated slightly, but still accepted it.
When he stood up straight—
"Smack!"
With another snap of his fingers, a clasp was revealed on the black patch on his chest.
It reads: "Would you like to wear this for me?"
Shi Nian looked at the familiar handwriting.
She looked at the familiar figure in front of her and nodded with a smile.
"good."
As Shi Nian spoke, she put on the half-face mask inlaid with colorful gemstones.
The man looked at her, his eyes filled with a gentle smile.
By the time they saw it, Nian had already put on the jeweled half-face mask, the man put on his top hat, and then took off the piece of paper from his chest.
With a rub of his hands, the paper suddenly burst into flames.
The dazzling firelight illuminated Shi Nian's eyes.
Then, as the flames died down, a red rose, a symbol of love, appeared in the man's hand.
He bowed again and handed the red rose to Shi Nian.
Before me were the smiling eyes of a man, surrounded by colorful bubbles, and the cooing of pigeons could be heard in my ears.
The air was filled with the scent of burning spices.
The red rose in his hand was blooming exceptionally brightly.
She seemed to have seen this scene somewhere before.
"Um?"
The man gestured softly.
Shi Nian smiled and pulled herself away from the memories.
She reached out and took it, looking at the red rose in her hand, still wondering where it had come from.
The man was now standing still, and he extended his right hand.
"Dear lady, may I show you around this island?" It was Huo Yanmo's voice.
“Okay,” Shi Nian said, preparing to put her hand in his.
But at this moment, she was holding a rose in one hand and a balloon in the other; she no longer had hands.
At that moment, he moved his hand towards her hand holding the balloon.
She understood what he meant and reached out to release the string of balloons.
The balloon soared into the sky, and he took her hand.
Their eyes met, and both of them smiled.
He took her hand and led her into the crowd on the street.
As the sun slowly set, the entire island began to fall into darkness.
Huo Yanmo first took her to a heavy-duty clothing store.
As soon as I arrived here, someone came up to greet me.
"Ms. Shi Nian?" the other person said with a smile, "Please come with us."
Shi Nian glanced at Huo Yanmo to the side and saw him nod.
Then she went inside with the others.
The other party dressed her in a heavily embellished gemstone gown, which, combined with her gemstone half-face mask, made the woman in the mirror exceptionally dazzling and beautiful.
When she came out, a man whose clothes matched hers was already standing outside.
"Yan Mo?" she asked.
Actually, she had already recognized him; it was him.
"It's me," he replied with a smile.
He opened his hand again and took her hand in his.
He led her back onto the street.
Just a short while after she went to change her clothes, it had become completely dark.
Unlike the previous lights, the entire island is now filled with all sorts of strange lights, and these lights are a mixture of lamplight and burning incense.
If you look down from above the island at this moment, you'll see that the various lights on the entire island spell out a single word—念 (niàn).
