Chapter 207 Why is he talking so much?

As they drove into the village, Lin Anshu asked Lin Anqin, who was in the passenger seat.

"Sister, you didn't expect our village to have changed so much, did you?"

"The changes are truly remarkable!"

Lin Anshu's Douyin (TikTok) was among the first group of people to pay attention to it.

Lin Anqin would watch all of her live streams, as long as they weren't during class time.

She had already learned about the changes in her hometown from Lin Anshu's live broadcasts.

Even so, when she saw the changes in her hometown with her own eyes, saw the clean and tidy village, and saw the beautiful murals...

She was still a little shocked, a little excited, and a little proud.

When Lin Anshu parked her car in front of her house, Lin Anqin's heart started pounding uncontrollably.

Despite giving herself countless pep talks, she still felt inexplicably nervous as she was about to go back.

"Sis, let's go home!"

Lin Anshu carried a large bag in her left hand, pulled a suitcase with her right hand, and slung a backpack over her back, smiling as she looked at Lin Anqin.

"Um."

"Dad, Mom, Grandma, Grandma on the other side, I've brought my sister back!"

"Qinqin, you're back. This child has lost weight and gotten tanned. She must have suffered a lot while she was out there."

After Grandma Lin came out of the house, she quickly walked to Lin Anqin's side, took her hands and looked her up and down.

"Grandma, I didn't suffer much. I was a little unaccustomed to it at first, but I got used to it after that."

"Qinqin, you're back! Let me see you!" Grandma smiled and stared at her.

"Grandma, it's been so long, I've missed you so much."

Soon, Mr. and Mrs. Lin also came out of the room.

"Dad, Mom."

"Hey, Qinqin, it's good to see you back." Lin's father smiled at her, his eyes gentle.

"You brat, you finally decided to come back."

After scolding him, Lin's mother's eyes suddenly reddened.

"Come here, let me see!"

As soon as Lin Anqin walked over, he was immediately stopped by his mother.

"You've really lost weight, and you've gotten a bit darker too."

"But it's alright. Now that you're back, just stay home and rest for a while."

"Mom, Dad, I'm sorry. I was immature before." Lin Anqin's eyes also reddened.

"What's with all this talk about 'sorry' and 'apologizing'? It's all in the past, so why bring it up again?"

"I'm glad you're alright."

"You've finally made it back. You must be exhausted after the long journey. Are you thirsty?"

"Come, come, sit down first. I'll get you some water."

After finishing speaking, Mr. Lin got up and poured warm tea for Lin Anshu and Lin Anqin.

It's probably not an illusion; their tea does have a fatigue-relieving effect.

Qinqin must be very tired after traveling all this way.

An'an went out to pick someone up, driving for several hours, which must have been quite a journey.

The two young girls need to have some tea and rest properly.

"Um."

After putting their luggage inside, the family sat in the yard and started chatting.

Mr. Lin asked about Lin Anqin's life over there.

Lin Anqin also picked out some particularly interesting things to share with everyone.

Lin Anshu and Grandma Lin would occasionally tell Lin Anqin about their family matters.

The family seemed to be having a good time chatting.

Lin's mother cooked dinner, with Lin's father, Lin Anqin, and Lin Anshu helping out.

To welcome Lin Anqin home, Lin's mother specially prepared a table full of dishes.

I'll braise one of the fish from my own fishpond.

I made braised duck with potatoes using ducks raised in my own rice paddies.

Vegetables grown in your own garden can be prepared in even more ways.

Stir-fry bok choy, stir-fry green peppers and pork together, make a cucumber salad, make spicy and sour cabbage, and mix diced tomatoes with sugar.

As for eggplants, water bamboo shoots, green beans, and the like, let's leave them out for today.

After the seven dishes were served, Lin's mother put a small bowl each of the pickled cowpea cubes and pickled white radish cubes she had previously prepared on the table.

"Qinqin, let's have something simple to eat today."

"Tomorrow, I'll have Ninth Master make you some of your favorite dumplings."

"The scallions we grew ourselves are ripe now. We'll make some pork and scallion dumplings and some lotus root and pork dumplings."

"I'll make you some more steamed buns the day after tomorrow. Don't you like eggplant buns?"

"The eggplant buns that Ninth Master made were incredibly delicious. Xiao Yu could eat seven in one sitting."

"Remember my brown sugar bun and pumpkin bun," Lin's father said quietly.

He really likes eggplant and green pepper buns.

But his favorites were the brown sugar buns and pumpkin buns made by Ninth Master.

The taste was absolutely amazing.

"How old are you? Still fighting with Qinqin for food? If you want some, go tell Ninth Master yourself."

Lin's mother glanced at him and snorted.

"Qinqin, look at your mother, look at her now."

"My status as the head of the family is getting lower and lower, sigh." Mr. Lin sighed.

"Why do you talk so much? Can't even a meal shut you up?"

After Lin's mother finished speaking, she picked up a duck leg and put it into Lin Anqin's bowl.

"Eat more, you're so thin."

"Come on, An'an, you have one too."

Seeing Lin's mother's actions, Lin's father subtly moved his bowl forward.

Then, he received a slice of ginger (as a side dish) from Lin's mother.
