He had once had the privilege of trying spiritual fruits nourished with spiritual energy, but apart from having some spiritual energy, they were nothing special.
But this one is different; not only does it have a refreshing taste, but its spiritual energy after being ingested is also astonishing.
In his entire life, Hu Gong had never seen anything so highly nourishing.
With his extensive experience, he immediately judged that this was the immortal fruit.
A place with celestial fruits must be nourished by sufficient celestial power, or by the celestial power of immortals.
"I heard a few days ago that an immortal once appeared in this area and perished here. It seems that this is true. An immortal has finally appeared again on our Ancient Desolate Continent."
After eating a few more fruits, Hu Gong looked at the fruit peels in his hand.
"I've heard that the entire fairy fruit is highly nutritious. I wonder if the peel is edible?"
He tried a bite, and his eyes widened in surprise.
"Delicious! I never expected the peel of the fairy fruit to be so tasty."
Just as he was marveling at how straightforward it was, he discovered that his son had swallowed the fruit whole.
Having learned from his son, he simply imitated him, opening his mouth wide and swallowing greedily.
When they were too full to eat anymore, the two leaned against a tree trunk.
"There is such a magical tree in front of the gate. I wonder who the person in this courtyard is?"
He intended to visit, but unfortunately he was too full to get up.
A quarter of an hour later, it was already broad daylight.
Little Phoenix got up early in the morning to pick fruit.
She wanted to make a fruit platter for her brother, one that she had learned about in a book.
Arriving under the tree, they found the father and son and asked them questions out of curiosity.
Who are you?
Suddenly someone struck up a conversation with him, and Hu Gong looked up and glanced at them.
Just one glance back made him feel terrible.
What is that floating around this little girl?
Why do I feel such a strong sense of oppression?
His neck froze in mid-air.
He realized that the aura emanating from the other party could easily annihilate him.
What an existence this is!
Then he started to panic.
Having eaten so many divine fruits from her tree without her permission, wouldn't she punish me?
Xiao Huang'er was certain she had never seen these two people before, and then asked.
"You're here to see my brother, right?"
"Your brother?"
"Oh, right, right."
Hu Gong gave a vague answer.
"Since you are guests, please come in. My brother is still sleeping."
"Um... if it's inconvenient, we can visit later."
"OK."
After picking the fruit, Xiao Huang'er bid them farewell and walked into the courtyard.
An hour passed.
When Xiao Huang'er came out again, they were still lying under the tree digesting their food.
"Uncle is still here, I'll go first. My brother should wake up soon."
Little Phoenix greeted the group and rode Big Black past them at breakneck speed.
Hu Gong also responded with a greeting.
"goodbye......"
"What the hell did I just see?"
Hu Gong rubbed his eyes questioningly.
Why did that dog from earlier also give me such an unfathomable feeling?
Damn, even a dog can become an immortal here?
How many secrets lie hidden in this courtyard?
"Dad, why did you sit up? My stomach is still a little bloated."
"Get up, get up, stop lying down. Let's go check the situation in this yard first."
Filled with curiosity, Hu Gong pulled Hu Lai into Ye Buxiu's courtyard...
Four more hours passed.
The midday sun shone fiercely on the earth.
Ye Buxiu stretched and got out of bed.
"I slept so well today, it's been a long time since I slept this well."
Ye Buxiu saw the fruit platter made by Xiao Huang'er and the handwriting left by Xiao Huang'er in the room.
"This little girl's cooking isn't very good, but the fruit platter is quite nicely arranged."
Ye Buxiu looked at the crystal-clear, colorful phoenix in front of him, and for a moment he didn't know where to start.
Go wash up first.
After washing up in the yard, he was about to relieve himself when he suddenly noticed two people at the door.
He came before Hu Gong and his son.
"Who are you? Why are you kneeling at my doorstep?"
Ye Buxiu called out twice, but no one responded.
Looking at their expressions, they were utterly terrified and stunned.
It was as if he had been stimulated by something.
Ye Buxiu remembered the enhanced protection features the system had given him.
"System, temporarily remove the aura surrounding these two people."
Ye Buxiu gave the instructions.
The aura has dissipated.
*Smack*
The two liberated men collapsed to their knees.
"Hey guys, what's going on here?"
Ye Buxiu asked, startled by Hu Lai's scream.
"Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer!"
"Um... what's going on here?"
Ye Buxiu looked at the somewhat crazed Hu Lai and said speechlessly.
Hu Lai, panting heavily, looked at Ye Buxiu.
"Where is my father? Is he alright? He was infected by a zombie and chased me with a diamond-polished spiked club."
"You brat, what are you thinking about?"
Hu Gong, who was standing to the side, also recovered.
That was terrifying! How could a stone come to life?
This courtyard must be a haunted house!
He then looked at Ye Buxiu.
Wait a minute, this person seems perfectly normal, but what about the people around them...?
Hu Gong looked around again, and then a sense of oppression came over him. Everything here seemed to be filled with a terrifying and gloomy atmosphere.
