Upon arriving at the garage, Xu Tingchuan got out of the car first, followed by Ni Sitian.
Both of them remained silent, which was the norm when they were together.
After entering the elevator, the enclosed environment made her feel a bit stuffy. Ni Sitian felt that she should say something. She glanced at Xu Tingchuan's hand and noticed that half of the teeth marks had not yet faded.
"Um... is your hand alright?" Ni Sitian asked apologetically, her voice soft.
"It's okay, I got my rabies vaccine this year," Xu Tingchuan said casually, raising his hand to look at the results.
Ni Sitian was stunned for a moment before she realized that he had called her a dog!
"You!" She puffed out her cheeks and glared at him. After he gave her a dismissive glance, she lowered her head and shamelessly echoed, "You were truly prescient."
Xu Tingchuan was amused by her and chuckled. He hugged her head and ruffled it, feeling that she looked just like the Labrador he used to have. He casually said, "Ni Sitian, I just realized how cute you are."
She looked up and saw his rare, warm smile, and was momentarily stunned.
Ni Sitian had to admit that one of the reasons she suddenly said she wanted to get married in a flash was because he was very handsome; she was bewitched by his face.
He had a pair of deep, dark eyes, a high, straight nose, and thin, full lips. These features combined on his angular face, making him breathtakingly handsome.
Ni Sitian sometimes imagined what his smile would look like, and now she realized that his smile was a hundred times more beautiful than she had imagined, like a spring breeze and rain, clearing away the clouds and revealing the sun, making people feel relaxed and happy.
Xu Tingchuan noticed that Ni Sitian was staring at him in a daze, and raised an eyebrow slightly: "What's wrong?"
Ni Sitian withdrew her gaze, shaking her head like a rattle-drum, feeling ashamed of herself for being infatuated with him.
However, she felt a little smug inside; such a handsome man was her husband.
Xu Tingchuan was naturally unaware of her little thoughts. Looking at the lively expression on her face, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up again. His little wife seemed to be a little different from what he had imagined.
He got married because he was tired of being endlessly set up on blind dates and tired of women with exquisite makeup and dignified smiles.
After mistakenly believing that Ni Sitian was his blind date, he felt that the woman in front of him was refreshing and had a comfortable temperament, and he had a feeling that life with her would be good.
As it turns out, she really is a very comfortable person to be around.
Because she is simple, straightforward and unpretentious.
This is a truly rare quality for someone who faces cutthroat competition in the business world every day.
Of course, he also had some dissatisfaction with Ni Sitian.
For example, since getting married, she seems to have always treated marriage with a nonchalant attitude.
He was her husband, but sometimes he felt that she only saw him as a roommate.
However, he could understand why she was so hesitant to get married.
He travels too frequently for work and doesn't have much time to spend with her; they're not even familiar with each other yet.
Moreover, she was only twenty-one, a full ten years younger than him; to him, she was still a child.
Sometimes she even felt that he was more like her elder than her husband.
When his friends found out he had married a college student, they scorned him, saying he was an old man dating a young woman and had pedophilic tendencies.
Actually, thirty-one is a man's prime, so he can't be considered old. But compared to Ni Sitian, he felt that he was indeed old.
