Xu Tingchuan and Ni Sitian were both outside the door. They were both taken aback when they heard this. They looked at each other and followed the doctor into the examination room.
The doctor sat down, looked at the report, and said to Xu Tingchuan and Ni Sitian with a stern face, "It's understandable that you, as her son and daughter-in-law, don't want your mother to be pregnant. But you could have persuaded her to come to the hospital for a safe abortion procedure. How could you let her have a medical abortion? Do I need to explain the dangers of medical abortion to you? Ni Sitian held Xu Tingchuan's broad hand, still in shock.
After Xu Tingchuan finished asking the doctor's questions, he shook her hand, led her out, and saw Xu Haicheng standing outside when he opened the door.
Xu Haicheng's face was deathly pale, even paler than Jin Rulan who had just miscarried. He was so devastated that he had no energy left.
"Dad," Xu Tingchuan called out, going over to support his arm.
Xu Haicheng looked ashen, pulled his arm away, and walked towards the ward without saying a word.
Ni Sitian held Xu Tingchuan's hand with concern and pursed her lips: "Dad seems very sad."
When he learned that he had lost his child, he wasn't like this when he came over; he was more worried about Jin Rulan's health.
But when he found out that Jin Rulan had a medical abortion, he felt as if a mountain had collapsed.
Knowing that Jin Rulan would rather do this than forgive him must have been a greater blow to him than anything else.
