As Han Shizhao carefully helped Xu Jiayue put a band-aid on her hand, she couldn't help but secretly glance at Pei Yang.
Pei Yang's expression remained unchanged, as if he had noticed her peeking at him, and he smiled slightly.
She quickly looked away and glanced at Han Shizhao. Perhaps she was just being delusional; maybe Pei Yang didn't like her.
That would be better, so I won't feel uncomfortable later.
Xu Jiayue felt a little relieved after thinking about it, and smiled at Han Shizhao.
"Why is your hair so messy?" Han Shizhao reached out and used his large hand to comb Xu Jiayue's hair.

"I just finished a mission and came to see a friend," Han Shizhao explained to Xu Jiayue, explaining why he was there in his military uniform.
Xu Jiayue nodded knowingly, then led him to Su Yan and introduced the two of them.
Han Shizhao didn't stay for more than a few minutes before receiving a call to leave, and Xu Jiayue went to see him off.
When Pei Yang returned with the hot water, Su Yan was the only one left in the ward.
"Ah Yang, you'll regret this." Su Yan looked up at him and sighed softly, "I've already missed my chance, but you still have a chance to seize it. Don't let your inner fear ruin your destiny."
"Boss, you're still as enigmatic as ever." Pei Yang gave a sly smile and addressed him by the title he used in their previous ranking.
“I’m not joking with you anymore.” Su Yan said seriously, then frowned and said, “Besides, I think this Han Shizhao is weird.”
"What's so strange about him? He's practically a top ten role model. His qualifications are so good that you can't find many like him in Yihai City." Pei Yang and Han Shizhao have known each other for many years, though they're not close, but their relationship is good, and Pei Yang trusts Han Shizhao's character.
"I can't really explain it, it's just a woman's intuition. You know I'm usually pretty accurate with my intuition. I sensed Li Jing's situation earlier than you did back then," Su Yan said, bringing up this past event to support her claim.
"I won't let Jia Yue marry the wrong person," Pei Yang said to Su Yan.
Xu Jiayue happened to come back from opening the door and heard this. She smiled and said, "I have to thank you for being the matchmaker who introduced me to Shizhao."
"No need for thanks, just give me a big red envelope as a thank you for the matchmaking." Pei Yang raised his eyebrows slightly, looking completely unserious.
"Get lost, you're getting cocky just because I called you fat." Xu Jiayue kicked him.
Pei Yang easily dodged, and the atmosphere between the two returned to normal, like high school boys and girls playfully bickering.
Su Yan laughed as she watched. A little while later, Xin Zikai arrived, and Pei Yang and Xu Jiayue prepared to say goodbye.
"Ah Yang, don't forget what I just said," Su Yan called out to Pei Yang's back.
Pei Yang turned his head and nodded. Since Su Yan felt that Han Shizhao was acting strangely, he would send someone to investigate. However, he didn't think they would find anything. Han Shizhao's character was always impeccable, and no one who knew him had ever said anything bad about him. He would only investigate for peace of mind, and he didn't want to ruin Xu Jiayue's wedding because of it.
After the two left the ward, Pei Yang said he was going downstairs to see Shen Muzhi, and Xu Jiayue also wanted to visit him.
So they went downstairs together, and Xu Jiayue asked Pei Yang curiously, "What did Sister Su Yan say to you just now?"
"It's nothing." Pei Yang didn't want to talk about it further and quickened his pace.
