New Zealand, 3 p.m.
Xiang Zhilan dragged her suitcase back, threw it in the living room, and then hurried upstairs.
She just got back from a business trip and really misses her two babies.
Upon entering the toy room, one sees Luo Zhenxian playing with two dolls.
People say that the older you get, the more you become like a child again, and this is certainly true of Luo Zhenxian.
He always played with the two little ones and blended in very well.
"Grandpa." Xiang Zhilan walked in, called out to Luo Zhenxian, then squatted down, hugged her two children and kissed each of them, "Hengheng, Xiaokui, Mommy missed you so much."
The two children kissed Xiang Zhilan's cheek together, calling out "Mommy, Mommy," and vying for her to hold them.
Xiang Zhilan couldn't bring herself to pick up Xiao Kui first. She was somewhat biased towards Xiao Kui, who was a girl and had always been weaker than Heng Heng. Now she was even thinner and smaller than Heng Heng.
I held Xiaokui for a while, then put her down, then picked up Hengheng and put him down again after a while.
She had flown for more than ten hours and was now exhausted, so she could only sit on the blanket and play with them.
Looking at his granddaughter's travel-worn appearance, Luo Zhenxian scolded her, "You don't have to work so hard. It's not like Grandpa can't afford to support you all."
"I'm not just doing this for the money; it's my dream all along." Xiang Zhilan smiled. After Hengheng and Xiaokui were weaned, she resumed her photography work, and it's been about a year now. She's living a very fulfilling life.
Of course, she wasn't working as hard as before, not being home for days on end. Now she basically doesn't take on jobs that require long business trips. This was a rare opportunity, so she went for ten days.
Actually, I started to regret it after I went there, because I kept thinking about my two precious children at home.
“You have dreams to pursue and children to raise, but when will you think about yourself?” Luo Zhenxian looked at Xiang Zhilan and sighed softly. “I won’t be able to stay with you and your children for much longer. You should think about your future too.”
"Grandpa, you're still going strong, don't say things like that." After a year and a half of living together, Xiang Zhilan and Luo Zhenxian were like any other grandfather and grandson.
"Don't change the subject. You always get upset when I ask you to think about this," Luo Zhenxian said helplessly, glancing at the two children before lowering his voice. "Are you still thinking about that guy surnamed Chen?"
"Grandpa, what are you saying?" Xiang Zhilan was even more helpless than Luo Zhenxian, and said, "If I cared about him, why would I have agreed to the divorce in the first place?"
The divorce that Xiang Zhilan mentioned was something Luo Zhenxian helped her with back then. Luo Zhenxian naturally had a way to change it to a divorce in the marriage registration database without anyone noticing. Shen Muzhi probably still doesn't know that she has been divorced.
It was about a year ago when Luo Zhenxian asked her if she wanted to do this, and she nodded in agreement.
"Then why don't you try developing a relationship with someone else?" Luo Zhenxian coughed twice, his face turning a little red, but his voice was much weaker: "Hengheng and Xiaokui are still young. It's easier for them to accept a father now than when they're older and more sensible. Do you understand? Besides, Grandpa also wants to see someone take care of you."
"Grandpa, I know you mean well, but these things depend on fate, right? You have to find someone you both like."
"If you don't even look for someone, how can you know if you can like each other?" Luo Zhenxian felt that his granddaughter's words were clearly an excuse.
