Ni Sitian was baffled when she heard the call had been disconnected.
What's wrong with him? Is he going to get into trouble?
"What's wrong?" Xu Tingchuan carried Tuantuan, who had already woken up, down the stairs. Seeing Ni Sitian's furrowed brows, he asked.
Ni Sitian put away her phone and went downstairs with him. She said with some concern, "Shen Muzhi called me just now, and his reaction was very strange. I have a bad feeling about this."
Xu Tingchuan handed Tuantuan to Ni Sitian, then walked towards the window while dialing on his phone.
The phone rang for a long time without being answered. He turned around, shook it lightly, and said, "He didn't answer."
Ni Sitian sighed softly, wondering what had happened again. Shen Muzhi seemed to have suffered a huge blow, something she had never experienced before.
"Let's eat first, I'll go check on him later." Xu Tingchuan carried Xiao Tuantuan to the baby seat and asked the maid to bring up the meat broth noodles.
Tuantuan's baby teeth have mostly grown in, and we are slowly starting to wean her. Now, apart from drinking milk once in the morning and once in the middle of the night, she is usually fed complementary food.
Compared to the typical weaning process for children, Tuantuan adapted quite well and was relatively easy to raise.
Ni Sitian fed Tuantuan noodles, while Xu Tingchuan would occasionally pick up some food and feed it to her.
The family of three enjoyed their dinner in a harmonious manner.
After finishing his meal, Xu Tingchuan called Shen Muzhi's butler and, upon learning that he was already home, said he would come over in a little while.
Tuantuan is in his walker, and Ni Sitian is standing in front of him, encouraging him to walk.
Xu Tingchuan kissed Ni Sitian's cheek, then took his car keys and left.
"Mommy, kiss me..." Tuantuan waved her little hands, looking longingly at him.
Ni Sitian smiled, leaned down and kissed him.
However, she also realized that Tuantuan was more precocious than other children. She would have to have a serious talk with Xu Tingchuan that night and that they should not have any intimate behavior in front of Tuantuan in the future, as it would be bad for the child to see too much of this.
Unfortunately, she and Tuantuan fell asleep before Xu Tingchuan returned.
The next day, when Ni Sitian woke up, she saw that Xu Tingchuan looked like he had just come back from outside, and he still smelled of alcohol.
She rubbed her eyes, sat up, and asked, "Did you just get back?"
Xu Tingchuan nodded as he picked up a change of clothes and asked, "Did I wake you up?"
Ni Sitian shook her head. Seeing him looking for underwear again, she got out of bed, opened a drawer, and took out a pair for him. "How is he? What happened?"
"Xiang Zhilan divorced him." Xu Tingchuan sighed softly.
"Didn't Zhi Lan and he already have a divorce agreement?"
"No, it's not that. We're really divorced. Legally, we've been divorced for over a year." Xu Tingchuan paused, looked down at Ni Sitian, and said seriously, "You really don't know who Xiang Zhilan left with? Didn't she act strangely at that time?"
Ni Sitian was stunned. Shen Muzhi didn't agree, and Zhi Lan didn't come back either. How did they get divorced?
"No, I found it strange at the time. We were supposed to take the boat from Shuangxi Wharf, but she didn't." Ni Sitian couldn't think of anything odd happening beforehand. Xiang Zhilan wouldn't deliberately lie to her. She just didn't know what had happened that made things different from the original plan.
"To be able to make Mu Zhi unable to find him and to get a divorce like this, he must be quite extraordinary." Xu Tingchuan took off his clothes and walked towards the bathroom.
“With this powerful support, even if Zhi Lan comes back and doesn’t want to be with Shen Muzhi, he won’t be able to force her anymore.” Ni Sitian put Xu Tingchuan’s coat and trousers into the laundry basket.
