Ignoring him, Xiang Zhilan walked back to the bedroom with droopy eyelids. She glanced at the two children still sleeping soundly in bed, then lay back down to continue sleeping.
After an unknown amount of time, the two children woke up one after the other. They were dazed for a moment before hearing noises outside.
Hengheng got out of bed first, followed by Xiaokui, and they walked out of the bedroom hand in hand.
"Dad." Hengheng called out happily when he saw Shen Muzhi in the kitchen.
Shen Muzhi turned around and looked at the two children sleeping with their hair sticking up in the air. Her heart melted. She put down what she was holding, walked over, squatted down, and said, "Is Mommy still not awake?"
The two of them shook their heads in perfect sync; it was incredibly cute.
"How about Daddy takes you to wash your faces and brush your teeth?" Shen Muzhi gently smoothed their messy hair with his large hand.
Xiao Kui was probably still a little dazed after waking up, but when she heard this, she nodded along with Heng Heng.
Shen Muzhi was in an exceptionally good mood that morning. He took the two of them to the bathroom to wash up and even braided Xiao Kui's hair.
