Chapter 126 More Points of Trust

Xu Tingchuan didn't hear what she was stammering about, and looked at her with a slight raised eyebrow.

Ni Sitian swallowed hard; under his gaze, she felt as if she couldn't hide anything.

But she couldn't very well tell him that she was wondering why he had so much energy after "that," could she? He might even be smug about it!

"Uh..." Ni Sitian's mind raced, but with him staring at her like that, she couldn't think of any clever way to change the subject. So, she blurted out stupidly, "I've never seen you work out, how come your muscles are so well-defined?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she covered her face in embarrassment. It was so shameful. Of all things to say, why did she have to ask that?

"Perhaps it's a natural talent." Xu Tingchuan chuckled softly, wrapping his arm around Ni Sitian's waist and whispering in her ear, "It seems you're quite satisfied with my figure, so why didn't you touch it more yesterday?"

Ni Sitian blushed and didn't want to look up. She knew he wouldn't let go of this opportunity to tease her.

"If you're thinking about it now, I have no objection," Xu Tingchuan chuckled in her ear, placing her hand on his abs.

Ni Sitian's ears turned red, and she tried to pull her hand away, but he pressed it firmly against her abs.

Through the thin cotton T-shirt, her fingertips could clearly feel the distinct, ice-crack-like abdominal muscles.

Actually, she hadn't touched his body at all last night. At first, her face turned bright red, but then she only remembered the pain. Later, she felt like a ship tossed about at sea, her mind blank.

"Can you feel it?" Xu Tingchuan chuckled. He found her blushing face incredibly cute, making him want to tease her.

"Stop it..." Ni Sitian was so embarrassed she wanted to disappear into a crack.

Xu Tingchuan knew when to stop. He released her hand, rested his chin on her shoulder, and said seriously, "I joined the army when I was twenty-two and served in the navy for two years."

Upon hearing this, Ni Sitian turned her head to look at him with some surprise.

If she remembered correctly, wasn't he twenty-two the year he graduated with his doctorate from an Ivy League university?

Finish your PhD and then join the army? What kind of logic is that?

"Why would you want to join the army?" Ni Sitian was completely baffled.

The smile in Xu Tingchuan's eyes slowly faded, his gaze became inscrutable, and after a moment of silence, he said softly, "I want to find someone."

Ni Sitian was even more confused. Shouldn't she go to the police station to find someone? What does it have to do with joining the army?

Moreover, she had a strange feeling that she didn't particularly want to know the person he was looking for.

The two of them suddenly fell silent. Ni Sitian felt a little uncomfortable and cautiously asked, "Have you found the person you're looking for?"

Xu Tingchuan shook his head slightly, buried his face in Ni Sitian's shoulder, and gently kissed her skin.

Ni Sitian stiffened for a moment. He wouldn't still want it...

"I'm still in a little pain." She lowered her head, her face flushed, and her soft voice unconsciously carried a hint of coquetry.

The darkness in Xu Tingchuan's eyes was dispelled by her words. He hugged her tighter and said in a low voice, "Just a kiss, nothing else."

Ni Sitian hummed twice. Didn't you say yesterday that you were just taking a bath and wouldn't do anything else? But what happened later? You took her right there in the bathroom.

"Ni Sitian." Xu Tingchuan called her name softly, then suddenly said seriously, "Can you give me more trust in the future?"

Ni Sitian was slightly taken aback, then realized what he was talking about.

Thinking back to her doubts yesterday, she felt particularly embarrassed, turned around and hugged his waist, nodding heavily.
