Xiang Zhilan was slightly taken aback. She had only said those words to the children, but Bai Yutong's response made it seem as if she was intentionally making a veiled attack.
Was this unintentional or deliberate?
She looked up at Bai Yutong. After several encounters, she had realized that Bai Yutong liked Shen Muzhi, but Bai Yutong didn't seem like a bad person. She was probably just being unintentional.
"Miss Bai, don't be nervous. I was just worried about these two kids being naughty. Thank you for playing with them." Xiang Zhilan smiled and responded generously, then led the two children inside.
Bai Yutong saw Shen Muzhi follow them in with a happy expression. She felt that something subtle had happened between the two of them. They seemed to be closer than before, and Shen Muzhi was in a better mood than ever before.

"I've delivered the things, it's time for me to go. Hengheng and Xiaokui, let's play again next time." Bai Yutong picked up her bag and said goodbye to them.
Xiang Zhilan glanced at Bai Yutong, who looked somewhat lonely as she slung her bag over her shoulder and prepared to leave. She was secretly in love with someone who didn't even know it; she was quite pitiful.
"She's gone, what are you looking at?" Shen Muzhi was dissatisfied that her attention was not on him.

“She doesn’t mind.” Shen Muzhi casually replied, placing Hengheng on his lap and playing horsey with him.
"Who said she doesn't mind?" Xiang Zhilan rolled her eyes at him. He didn't understand girls' feelings at all. No wonder he was single.
When Hengheng saw his grandfather return, he immediately ran over to find him.
"What did you just say?" Shen Muzhi turned around and looked at her questioningly.
It was like talking to a brick wall; Xiang Zhilan didn't want to talk to him anymore.
Bai Yutong didn't tell him her feelings, so she had no right to expose them and embarrass him.
"Zhi Lan, stay for lunch. Mu Zhi will take you home later." Shen Guoliang said to her as he carried Heng Heng inside.
Xiang Zhilan always gave Shen Guoliang the most face, and seeing how much Hengheng and Xiao Kui liked staying here, she agreed to let them stay for dinner.
After lunch, Shen Muzhi escorted Xiang Zhilan and the two children home.
Shen Muzhi asked A-Chao to take the two children upstairs again. Xiang Zhilan didn't want to be in a confined space with him, so she quickly got out of the car as well.
"Why are you running? I'm not going to eat you." Shen Muzhi grabbed her wrist and frowned slightly.
Xiang Zhilan thought to herself, "Who would believe his nonsense? We've already figured it out."
"Give me the keys, and I'll get someone to redo your house." This time, Shen Muzhi really wasn't in the mood. His back injury was no joke, and after yesterday and this morning, he had no energy left.
